Chapter 1: Ready to Feast

As Elreth finally stepped out of the Market into the WildWood night, she took a deep breath to try to ease the tightness in her chest.

Dinner had finished hours earlier, but she and Aaryn had stayed behind, making decisions, choosing positions, and helping them prepare. The following night was the Feast of Reunion—the sixth since the war with the humans. It was a festival all the Anima enjoyed and with Lerrin and Suhle and the other outsiders now returned, it was even more special.
