Chapter 53: CHAPTER 53: LEGACY 2
Amy finally said what she came to Arianna for as lunch was coming to an end, "I heard that a new café will be opening and they provide healthy products that are fat free. Would you like to accompany me to the opening?"
Arianna raised her eyebrows in surprise; if Amy hadn't reminded her, she would have forgotten Legacy was about to open. She might as well attend as a customer if she couldn't show up as the proprietress.
Amy gave Arianna a nervous smile. She wasn't sure if Arianna would agree to appear at a small event because in the past, Arianna had never appeared anywhere unless it was at a large event with high-profiled people.
Arianna noticed Amy's anxiety and paused for a moment before saying, "I will attend it with you. I'm a huge foodie these days."
Amy exhaled a sigh of relief when Arianna agreed to her suggestion, saying, "It's good then. Should I drop by your house or what?"
Arianna recalled Amy's last visit to her home, which had not been pleasant.
"Let's meet at the café on the opening day. When is it going to open?" She had to ask about the location of this establishment because she was acting as if she was unaware of the new opening.
Amy was astounded to hear these words from Arianna, but it didn't surprise her any longer, so she told her where Legacy was and told her to look for it because the café had recently gone viral on the internet.
"I will definitely look into it. Thanks for informing me about this; I will definitely be there," Arianna assured the other girl, ensuring that whatever she was planning would be carried out.
All she had to do was wait and see if anything will happen on that particular day.
After lunch, classes resumed as usual, and another day came to an end.
Legacy was set to open on a Saturday, which meant that there were still a few days before that date arrived. Amy reminded her of the café, so she asked Leah to update her on its progress.
The report was excellent, which made her feel at ease; she didn't want to appear anywhere near the café at the moment because she didn't want to draw unwanted attention to herself or the café.
She asked Leah to bring her a few snacks the next day for her to sample because she wanted to see how her recipes tasted for herself. She didn't even bother trying to make a snack after purchasing them because she is still a novice when it comes to cooking.
Leah took note of what Arianna said, and when everything was finished, Arianna dismissed Leah so she could focus on her night studies alongside her daily missions that she hadn't completed for the day.
Days passed quickly, and everything went well at school; every morning, Arianna would send Maxim a message, to which he was now replying. Every morning, this small act made the little maiden so happy that her parents were left speechless by her new behavior.
They both realized that a wolf in sheep's clothing had stolen their baby's heart. After investigating this Maxim, they discovered that everything their daughter had told them was true, even if some of it was still a little suspicious.
They'll just keep an eye on him, and if something goes wrong, they'll either fix it or put a stop to it before anything bad happens.
Finally, the day of Legacy's debut arrived. Because there was no school on this day, Arianna awoke a little late but still managed to complete her daily missions in the morning. She didn't have to do any cooking or sewing, but she did have to do some writing and begin painting lessons.
Her wrist was aching by the end, and she had to soak her hands in the tub while taking her morning bath.
She dressed up beautifully in her jeans after her bath because dresses were out due to the weather. Her nanny was still adamant about it, which didn't bother her in the least.
She skipped to the elevator after dressing up, humming a symphony on the way.
She was alone at home because it was the weekend and her parents had already left for work. When she arrived at the table, the food had been quickly served and was still hot.
Arianna began to eat the food in her usual manner, beaming whenever she ate something beautifully prepared. It was at this point that the staff had the most fun.
Watching their young lady eat gave the female staff butterflies because it reminded them of their own children, relatives, or siblings.
It made them so happy to see her munching on her food like a chipmunk that all of their problems vanished in an instant. Arianna, who was eating her food, had no idea she was being stared at as if she were a clown in a circus.
All she could think about was the delicious fresh bread and sausages she was eating. She washed her hands and rinsed her mouth after she finished her breakfast.
She looked at her diamond watch and realized that time had flown by, and she would be late on the day of her first café's opening, but who cares?
She checked her phone, which was ringing, and saw that Amy was calling, so she picked up the phone and said, "I'm on my way. I just got up a little late."
Arianna didn't waste time exchanging pleasantries with Amy and got right to the point. Amy, too, choked up as she listened to Arianna's impatience.
Arianna quickly hung up the phone and called Freya to let her know what time she would be arriving at the café. She went outside after making the calls, taking her car keys and stuffing her phone into her handbag.
As Arianna drove the silver sports car out through the massive gates, the car moved silently. On her way, she stopped at a gas station to fill up her tank and swipe the card her parents had given her.
Because she was at the service station, she decided to go inside and buy some sweets to eat as she drove to the café. Arianna, who was quite famous, drew a large crowd the moment she stepped out of the car.
The bodyguards did not get out of their cars because they knew their young lady preferred to go alone and was also capable of taking care of herself now that she was mature.
Arianna smiled politely as she made her way inside, waving to these fans. She didn't have to open the door because it opened on its own. She didn't stay long inside, but she was eventually forced to sign autographs and pose for photos before continuing on her journey.
Legacy had already opened by the time she arrived, and the business was thriving.
Arianna smiled as she looked at the line outside the café, where the servers were busy serving customers.
As soon as she stepped out of the car, Freya and Amy approached her.
Her car was very visible, and with that fancy plate, anyone could tell who she was at a glance.
Arianna gave the two teenagers a warm hug before proceeding to the line. Arianna had previously stated that her café would not use seniority or bullying in which those with higher status oppressed those with lower status.
Because of this rule, she, as a duke's daughter, had to stand in line, but thanks to Freya, who arrived early, the line was not too long, making things easier for everyone.
The three girls happily chatted and commented on the morning's events until they ordered their own snacks and milk teas. When they got their snacks, the three of them took a seat inside, thanks to some sweet girls who wanted to make Arianna happy.
Finally, Arianna posed for a few photos with the girls before sitting down to enjoy this delicious meal. The employees were overjoyed to see their boss impersonating a customer; they had all signed a nondisclosure agreement and were not permitted to expose Arianna.
Arianna was in a very good mood and felt great about herself as the opening was a huge success, and hearing these people praising her products put her in a very good mood.
Seeing something she worked hard for become a success on the first day made her feel great, and she couldn't wait to see where this adventure would take her.
So many teenagers, especially those who cared about their bodies, loved the products, and she didn't even have to include the ladies who were of marriageable age.
In a world where power is everything and women are taught from a young age that they should marry a strong and powerful man, women have resorted to all manner of deception to get what they want.
And being able to eat without gaining weight was every woman's dream. Who wouldn't want to have a body like a model?
Many marriages ended in divorce because men grew tired of their big and fat wives and opted for those young women who starved themselves nearly every day just to maintain that figure.
This was simply bad, but what did it matter to Arianna? Everything was fine as long as she knew what she was doing and that her happiness was guaranteed in the end.
So a happy customer for Arianna on this day will become a loyal customer over time. She couldn't wait for the day when she could begin harvesting
