Chapter 3: Reincarnated
A white-haired boy is sleeping on a bed. The part of his forehead is wrapped in a bandage.
"*hee* *cough* *cough*" The boy suddenly woke up and took a deep breath, but because his body was still weak, he let out a few coughs.
After recovering from the cough, he held his throat and looked around until his eyes landed on some numbers beside his bed. What caught his attention is that the numbers are transparent and floating on the table.
"The Hell?" As he tried to grab the numbers, his hand phased through it.
"Hologram?" He kept swinging his hand through the hologram.
After a while, he continued looking around. Besides the hologram, there's a bracelet and a card on the table. He took the card and read it. On their card were a picture and some information.

Name: Zane Felix
Age: 15
Class: 1A
Rank: 805/1000 ]
On the other side, was a logo and the words [KRAY Academy of Slayer] written on it.
'My name didn't change. Is this some kind of RPG game card?' the boy, Zane thought.
He then put down the card and picked up the bracelet. There is nothing special about the bracelet. As he moves the bracelet closer to his wrists, it uncoils and wraps around his wrists.
"What?!" Shocked by what happened, Zane let out and tried to take off the bracelet. Suddenly, the bracelet lit up, then a screen was projected in front of him.
[New Message! x 2 um] The bracelet notifies.
Still confused, he clicked on the text.
[Alan Holton (Teacher):
To all students on campus, please remain calm and stay in your rooms until further notice.]
[Dr. Isaac:
Text me when you wake up. I'll send someone to check up on you.]
After reading the messages, he pressed on the doctor's message.
"It's just like a phone!" He exclaimed as a keyboard appeared. He slowly typed [I'm awake] and pressed send.
'That's it?' he thought to himself and sat down on the bed.
A few minutes later, a nurse came in with some documents in her hand.
"How are you feeling?" She asked while she checked a monitor beside the bed.
"I'm fine but where am I?" He asked the nurse.
"Oh, you're in the infirmary. A wyvern appears and you are caught up in it. Thankfully it's just a slight injury."
"Wyvern? Is it a game or something? Oh! Are we filming a movie? But I don't remember signing up for something like that." Zane said.
"That's funny. It looks like you're all healed up, you can head to the main hall when you're ready. The entrance ceremony will start at 11. If there's any problem you can contact the doctor." She chuckled a little and then informed me.
"Ok.." Zane replied awkwardly. Then, the nurse left.
"That was weird. A wyvern? It's this a joke or maybe I got transported to another world. Ha." Zane said to himself. He then realised something.
"Maybe I am in an alternative universe." He said and looked at his wrist and poked it. A screen is projected in front of his arm.
'I'm not dreaming am I?' He thought and tried to scroll through the screen. 'It worked!'
On the screen are many applications. Zane clicked on an application with a magnifying glass icon.
"Yes, a search box." He exclaimed in excitement and typed in [Earth].
[Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known to harbour and support life.]
The result was expected. Zane then searched [wyvern].
[Wyvern is a winged two-legged monster with a barbed tail.

"I guess it's real. I'm in an alternate universe." His hands started to tremble but he continued to search [monster]
[Monsters refers to all species with mana stone as a heart.]
"Mana stone...could it be" he then typed [mana].
[Mana is the energy or power that permeates the universe. Anyone or anything can have mana. Mana can be used in magic, enhancing the body, as an energy source, etc.]
"That's interesting. Do I have mana?" He asked himself. As he was about to search for something, the bracelet vibrated.
[To all First-year students, please make your way to the main hall for the entrance ceremony. It will start in 15 minutes.]
"The main hall. Doesn't this thing have a GPS?" He then scrolls through the screen. " Found it!"
He pressed on the map application and two options popped up - [Academy] and [Normal].
'Academy must mean this place right?' With that in mind, Zane clicked on [academy] and searched [Main Hall].
Within seconds, the location is found and displayed on the screen. Zane then made his way to the hall.
As he arrives at the main hall, more than half of the hall is filled.
'I guess it's the right place' he then headed toward an empty seat and sat there. After sitting down, he went back to searching the web.
[Slayers are those who protect humanity against monsters]
[Slayer Academy is a place where slayers recruits are trained to be able to slay monsters effectively. ]
[Kray, Academy of Slayer. A well known International Slayer Academy, located in the sky of the Hadver Ocean. It is said that recruits of Kray have an 85% employment rate.]
After 10 minutes, the hall was filled and a middle-aged man walked up to the podium.
"I'm Alnord Graham, the principal of Kray. Welcome to Kray Academy of Slayers...." The man spoke.
"I hope all the recruits will strive to be the best. Thank you." The principal ended his speech.
After the principal's speech, we were told to go to our assigned classroom after lunch.
'That was boring. Now, to figure out whose body I'm in.' Zane begins scrolling through his bracelet as he walks to the cafeteria.
'Contacts. Found it. Now let's see.'
[Orphanage Director]
That was the only thing in the contacts.
'An orphan... On the bright side, I don't have to act like I know them.' Zane was slightly disappointed. He closed the screen.
After lunch, Zane went to his assigned classroom - 1A. As he reached the classroom, he pushed open the door.
