Chapter 5: Time Difference

Time goes on. The girl forgets the time that keeps on passing.

It could be said that her presence in the Louvre museum was the one who forgot the actual time she had set earlier. Moreover, the young man she had just met was her tour guide while she was at the museum.

"Thanks, Ed. I thought you were a good guide," Gladys politely complimented Edmond.

Edmond, who felt praised, of course, felt a little proud of it.

With a broad smile, Edmond ventured to invite Gladys to meet him at the next meeting if Gladys allowed it.

"Hmm, of course, hopefully, we can meet again," Gladys said enthusiastically without thinking about the real meaning of Edmond's words.

She didn't realize in the slightest that Edmond was a little attracted to Gladys, who was open and, as it is

After that, Gladys said goodbye to Edmond, while waving her hand away from Edmond.

Edmond could not refuse Gladys' words, but he could only reply to wave his hand.

Gladys, who stepped out of the Louvre Museum, just realized that she might have been there for a long time.

Gladys reflexively looked at the equalizing clock wrapped around her hand.

"Gosh! I've been here a long time, but wait..."

Gladys blinked in confusion. Because after she checked the clock it was now 5:00 pm, which means it had been an hour and a half from the hour she last saw, which at that time Gladys remembered well that she should only have half an hour, but why is she still in the same dimension and was more than an hour from the provision Endrew made.

"This is weird? Could it be that Dad is prolonging the time? But it doesn't seem possible. Dad's not that kind of person, the only thing that's possible..."

Gladys hung her mouth as she covered her mouth.

She was really surprised by the crazy thought that might really be happening right now.

'Time difference! If that happens, then how long will I be here? Arghh ... what if more than one day? I don't have a home here,' Gladys monologued in her mind as she bit her nails.

Unknowingly, Gladys, who was confused, was busy massaging her forehead slowly.

She was indeed happy to have a long time there more than what her father had promised, it's just that on the other hand, she had not prepared properly what she should have prepared, for that if she arrived there for days, then what happened was not something that pleasure for Gladys, but misery.

'I should have re-examined the clock and estimated it.' Gladys regretted it in her mind.

Don't want to get too caught up in unresolved thoughts. Gladys chose to continue her journey without a destination.

But of course, Gladys wasn't without planning at all.

She has recorded how many hours she spent there, and she tries to remember the date and the like clearly because, after that, she will compare it with the memory she has.

She remembered that in Paris, she still had a distant relative of her father, so if Gladys' prediction was correct that she would spend a long time there, then she could not help but ask her father's relation for help.

She hoped her father's relation wouldn't suspect her.

That was all she hoped for!

***

An ash-haired youth seemed to enter his penthouse, which was quite majestic in one of the 5-star hotels.

His footsteps seemed calm towards one of the favorite rooms in the penthouse.

Screech!

A large curtain that covered the wall of the room he was going to he just opened.

It wasn't the pure white wall that he could see behind the curtain, but rather an entangled thread that if anyone who didn't understand what he meant would say that what he saw was just a tangled thread.

"In 2050, the case should end here ... at 19.00, I must stop it on time, Mr. Aloys Colyn," the young man whispered as he looked at the clock.

After that, the young man chose to improve himself to change his clothes and prepare what he needed for his mission which had not been fully successful so far.

Sometimes the logarithms that he has learned have errors and unexpected things from what he learns and prepares.

Wait...

Who is that young man really? And what mission is he actually working on? Why use logarithms? Is he a traveler like Gladys, who uses time travel so that he is there right now?

But...

Why did he have a penthouse and other things?

The sound of the shower splashing against his hair and body slowly relaxes his body than before.

The young man closed his eyes while enjoying his free time before he returned to his mission, and that mission was the reason he was there.

After he felt he had cleaned himself enough, he chose to get out of there and put on his clothes.

.

.

"The time is right," the young man whispered as he pursed his lips at the clock perched on his wrist.

The young man with ash hair and black clothes took his backpack and exited the penthouse.

Some of the staff there looked respectful towards him but didn't bother what he was doing, only a short greeting by the staff there, as if they were subservient to the young man.

A metallic black sports car was parked in the lobby of the hotel.

If inside the hotel, the young man still met some staff, but not in front of the hotel.

In the hotel lobby, or instead the front guard at the hotel, all he met was a robot who half looked like a human, came to greet and help the young man.

"Thank you, Annette," the young man greeted the robot.

"Your welcome, sir A-"

Before Annette could finish her sentence, the young man quickly shook his head to code the robot named Annette, not to mention his name.

"Bye, Annette," said the young man as he waved his hand.

"Ugh, how is it, it's already night here, and it's almost 19:00, that means I've been here for almost 6 hours!" Gladys screamed excitedly and was quite frustrated.

"Ah, wait… August 9th? Didn't Dad say it was uncle Aloys who should have come to the house but didn't come because he was on business in Paris at the time? Ah, I have to find the house," said Gladys, who had just remembered her father's friend who was in the country.

With the tools she carried in her backpack, she tried to find out about Aloys. The friend of the father she meant is not just an ordinary person.

Rather than a researcher for that, Gladys believes she can find her address with the bit of expertise she has.

"I got it!"

After getting the address, she needed Gladys immediately rushed there.

"Wait for me, uncle. I hope my intuition and memory are correct, and uncle is in Paris."
