Chapter 2: chapter 1: Virgil's Awakening
The shadowy figure approaches to statue holding a chalice of blood the figure begins to pour it down the statues throat through the open mouth. the statue small cracks begin to form around the statues chest right arm first and slowly began to spread out to the rest of its body as each chunk of a stone chips away it revealing flesh no longer Stone. but his right arm began to ache he felt them in Spain as chunks of skin began to tear and fall off until the last Stone piece is Shed off of his body. he screamed dropping to his knees and curling like he is trying to protect something from being destroyed as the looks of his right arm change the palm and last two digits of each finger glow red, which is connected to red streaks that runs along the back of the forarm that is also connected to a vaguely trigram shaped glowing patch on the back of the hand. The back of the hand and the backside of the arm is covered in black hide that leads up to an extended elbow. On the front side of the forearm are navy blue streaks only a few minutes pass and it seems like an eternity of pain had finally subsides. his breathing extremely heavy as he hears a woman's voice speak to him
"rise so you may know what has happened during your long slumber"
Virgil did not know what was going on all he remembers last was being stabbed in the chest by his brother Dante. his eyes grew with a angry hateful deep sapphire blue he punches the ground with his right on again and again without him realizing it he was cracking the floor under him every time he hit the floor with his fist new cracks appeared he began to scream again but not with pain but rage the rage. subsided rather quickly then it was replaced with wondering what happened with his brother was he destroyed? Or was he successful in his mission?. He looked up to see the woman's face her red crimson eyes long black hair that was seemingly pulled in a ponytail her pale skin with tattoo markings that's seemingly created the symbol of a MorningStar. her face was cold no life could be seen it no emotion either he spoke to her after what seemed to be an eternity of just looking at her
"who are you and what has happened with my brother?"
The girl's expression did not change as a virtual site begin to focus to what normally he could see I know this is she was wearing which seemed to be a modified version Knight of the bloody veil uniform that they typically would give to initiate's before they have took in their vows he would wonder how did she have those clothes or was she just a looter picking at the bones of this once great temple. Virgil tries his best to stand but his body seems to be more sleep than awake a second voice commands Virgil heard from the dark the man's voice was deep like you expect someone who have been through puberty already but it had a sound of wisdom like he has seen much and even his voice reflects it
"hahaha well if this is supposed to be the rebellion savior I think we're fuck!!"
the woman turn back to where the voice was came from
"oh shut up Reginald he was trained by the original bloody veil all we have going for us is literally what we learn from books"
the man's voice swimmingly got closer Virgil could see his face and he look like a child perhaps he was turned as a child or he's a midget Virgil look down at him as the small man would speak
"come on Annabelle I've say we've done pretty good without this old bastard with us"
Virgil katella ready he wasn't going to like this guy he spoke up
"okay shut the hell up midget or I'll dribble you like a basketball and then slam dunk your ass back to your grave"
the girl who was called Annabelle started to laugh extremely hard the small man looked angrily but then took a step back I spoke up again
"okay now tell me what the hell is been happening while I'm asleep girl"
the girl slowly start to stop laughing and cleared her throat as she spoke
"well you been asleep for the last 150 years or at least that's what the memories of the blood say"
this caught Virgil's attention he looked around seeing how old everything looked. how ruined it was he was slightly glad The Grandmaster wasn't alive just because of how bad everything look.
" well crap The grandmaster surly is going to kick my ass if he was alive anyway"
both of them laughed a bit I guess they also have a hard-ass boss the girl Annabelle spoke up again.
"okay so could you tell me your name?"
I looked at her calmly. I spoke with a firm tone and I could already feel my body and voice has aged.
"it's Virgil sangheili"
both their faces if they were alive would be turning pretty damn pale judging from the reactions Virgil can tell his brother has done something bad
"what the hell has my brother got himself into?"
They both looked at each other. realizing I had no clue on what my brother had done.
"you've been asleep for the last 150 years. so I guess you don't know yet your brother rules the world as the vampire King he hasn't been a good ruler he's been cruel to humans and we the rebellion teamed up with humans to overthrow him"
Virgil start to laugh almost psychotically
"you're better off trying to turn me back to Stone then kicking my brother's ass"
he could barely speak as he continued laughing both the two looked mad very mad Virgil look them in the eyes with his deep sapphire blue eyes he spoke
"you two look fairly young do you even know what it means to kill a vampire when it comes to siblings?"
The two of them had a look of anger and now look confusion the girls spoke.
"the same as it always means to kill a another vampire you want them dead"
Virgil look angry the first time they could see before that instant he was calm and very charismatic.
"sorry girly but when it comes to siblings it's the ultimate show of affection the ultimate show of love to free them from this hell that is the vampiric existence we are already dead we vampires our hearts do not beat we do not need air humans are the only one between vampires and humans that are alive because what is already dead cannot die again not so easily as a living creature"
both of them seem to look confused at Virgil's words virtual looked around as he spoke
"my brother turned me to Stone because he did not want to free me from this hell of a existence he wanted to condemn me to keep my mind active in that stone prison unable to do anything. he drank every drop of the Queen's blood and without a doubt that changed him because he used to be so kind You two may not believe it but my brother was the kindest vampire you could ever meet only second to The grandmaster who had lived around the time when the queen still walk this Earth. You two barely look more than a hundred years old judging from your eyes I doubt you Annabelle was it. has even lived as a vampire more than 50 and this midget maybe more than a hundred barely. I have lived as a vampire before I was turned to stone around 80 years combining what time I was in that's Stone prison for 230 now. but as I look back at it I'm honestly impressed with my brother he could barely hurt a fly without feeling bad but now you're telling me that my brother is now of the world ruler and is cruel to every human being. if I don't see it for myself I'm definitely not going to be believing that."
the two of them just looking at Virgil as he spoke a spectracal arm appeared about four times bigger than his arm he noticed this and he took a swing at one of the pillars knocking it clean from it's braced position and there is a bit roof collapsing from the lack of support
"well me on the other hand I was a bastard even before my brother turn evil. my brother was the only one I would never harm."
