Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Fallen, The window less room.
I was having a dream...
In that dream I felt like I was yearning for something more than anything, and that no matter how much I struggled I would never get it.
In the end...my own obsession lead me to a twisted road that lead to darkness.
I woke up after that and found myself in a shabby room with only a bed and no windows.
The room was completely locked like a prison cell and on top of it I had a pair of golden bracelets and a collar that suppressed my energy and left me weak unable to use any power at all...
<Can my life be any...>she didn't finish that phrase and just jumped back on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling.
This world is the world of the game I used to play "Tales of Regulus". A world of sword, magic, magical beings, gods and some other supernatural creatures...
This world is a world where only the "Regulus" continent is the only place where life could exist.
The continent is a blessed land in a world full of darkness and evil, the blessed land is protected by a goddess called the goddess of sun "Sola".
By blessed I mean that this continent is the only place where light reaches and the reason of that is the "Sacred Barrier" that the first "Saint of Sola" created with the help of her hero and the followers of the sun.
The hero became the first emperor with the power he used to ward of evil and unify the land.
The saint became the empress with the power of creating the barrier and purifying the evil on the land as well as healing the injured and performing miracles.
The two of them got the loyalty of all their followers and created Regulus empire.
One of the followers was a man called Evan, who's ability were equal in the level of the saint and the hero. He was capable of manipulating Ice and snow at will and was a powerful swordmaster.
That man's descendants are the Evanson's duke family...my family in this world.
Every descendant is capable of awakening powerful ice magic called "The Winter"...
I am the daughter of the duke of Evanson...and I was born without the affinity of the winter, which made my family despise me ever since I was born.
<What a pathetic state...> she laughed it off with a bitter taste
I remember this character from the game...
The stupid girl who's fallen into depravity and awakened as a witch after being used by everyone around her...
The girl who was manipulated by some ancient evil and got herself killed by becoming a sacrifice to that evil's awakening.
Satiana is an antagonist, the prince's fiance and the girl who tries to destroy the world just to make everybody suffer the way she did.
Unlike the original game story...I have already fallen into depravity.
<Truly...what a pathetic state I am in right now...>
When people fall into depravity, they turn dark and awaken as "evil" beings.
In the game, there is original Satiana who awakens as a witch and gain power to use powerful abilities she could never get before.
Usually those who awaken as witches are people who didn't awaken as mages.
Mages are people who can use magic from within, they already have a Mana source inside of their bodies.
Witches are the same, but their source is simply put...dark. Meaning they awaken magical abilities after cursing at the world.
Its weird that if people in this world get depressed or angry they would turn "Dark" or "Evil"...They would gain power from their despair or grief, but it's a double edged sword. With the power ces consequences, the price to pay is having all your negative emotions heightened and draw the worst of your personality.
I can feel it...The rage, the overwhelming hatred I have for the people who locked me up in this room.
<Who am I even kidding...I am even talking to myself now! Charming~~~> She said before approaching the door and trying to open it.
<Hey!> she said before tapping on the door and trying to find a way out <Get me out of here this instant! This is a crime, LET ME OUT!> The girl took her anger on the door then began trashing the room.
Time passed and they didn't even bring a single meal.
With no window, it was impossible to know if it was day or night, and I was starting to get very hungry and thirsty.
Time went by and I ended up sleeping up...
Time went by and I didn't get any food or drinks for God knows how long. definitely more than four days at the very least!
I felt like I was dying inside of this room, that even though I got a chance in walking underneath the sun again would be once more taken from me.
I hate it...
Do they plan on starving me to death?
Should I try finding a way out? But how? I don't even know what kind of powers I had awaken after coming to this world AND falling into depravity.
In the game, there exist people who can use magic. Those people are called Mages, their power consist in manipulating a certain element among eight.
Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Dark, Light, Space, Life.
Basic elemental magic Wich are water fire earth and air, are pretty much common and many are capable of using them.
Light is an element that only a selected few in this world could use it, and by selected I mean the Emperial family and the saint.
Dark magic on the other hand is also a rare kind of magic that only a few awaken this element as mages...very few. It's usually an element that monsters have or bad guys have in the game. Like demons or witches for instance.
Space magic on the other hand Is something that people arent well versed in it. there are a few cases of people who have this element in the game but they don't know how to use it to it's full potential...
As for life magic...well thats something that only appears in healings spells and is usually used with another element at the same time. like how the saint use it with light to heal members in her party.
<I don't know what kind of power I have...moreover I am being tied with these golden shackles.>
I know these from the game...they are magic shackles. A tool to stop you from using magic...
If I remember correctly there was an illustration of this in the game...and that these shakes fonction on a trigonometric magic circle...
<Wait...How do I know that?> she said <How do I know what kind of magic that hey put in this?!>
It was wierd...as if the information was already in my head and it just came out alone when I thought about it...
I have been having this odd feeling since I was still inside the abyss...but I think I might have got some info about magic or some knowledge before coming to this world...
<If that's the case then I just need to try!>
I started thinking hard about the shackles, the magic that was used on them and most importantly how to break free!
I focused on that idea for hours...and didn't get anything of use.
I was feeling dizzy when I tried to stand up and just laid back on the bed and slept for another day.
