Chapter 48: Chapter 45
Lucinda's POV
Today I found myself on a walk just soaking in the nature and buildings around me. I probably look like a maniac but I don't care with my wide smile and arms in the air.
I woke up this morning with the biggest smile on face. I don't think I've ever felt this happy in a long time and I couldn't be more well... Happier about it.
I always find myself feeling this way after hanging out with Donavan... Or even being in his presence for the shortest amount of time puts a smile on my face.
I've noticed that every time he's nervous he runs his fingers through his hair and chuckles dryly. Whenever he smiles... And not smirks... He has these little dimples that would always pop out and honestly their the cutest thing ever.
When he laughs it just brightens up the room and whenever he smiles at me I feel all special inside. With a big sigh I walk into Tia's Café.
"Lucy!"
The ever so cheerful staff of Tia's Café greet me upon my arrival. I do a little mock bow with a wide grin on my face.
"Hello beautiful people!"
I make my way towards a corner table and sit down. One of the waiters, who don't recognize, asks me what I'd like to order. Making the assumption that she's new I kindly tell her my order and she walks away.
Right after she leaves Dee sits on the table opposite me with a confused expression on his face. He looked me up and down accusingly and I just smiled at him.
"What got you all happy?"
"Can't I just be happy? Honestly it's quite enjoyable."
A look of scepticism swept across his face.
"You see... I'd only believe you if you weren't so allergic to happiness."
I let a giggle.
"Oh you..."
His eyebrows furrowed even more and I laugh. He waved his hand at me as a sign of dismissing my odd behavior and place his elbows on the table and rested his hands on his palms.
"I have something super important to tell you..."
I focused all of my attention on him just to show how invested I was in whatever he was going to tell me.
"What's up?"
"Like I said super important but it'll have to wait until we're with everyone. I just wanted to make sure you'll be there when it happens."
For the first time since the beginning of my day I scowled for the first time. How dare he do this to me?!
"I'm your best friend and you do this to me... You don't deserve me"
I huffed and threw my hair over my shoulder in a dramatic way. He smiled lightly and chuckled.
"By the way... The hair looks straight up fire."
"Really... I hadn't noticed."
"Oh please... You practically waltzed in Herr begging me to acknowledge the fact that you dyed your hair after being a coward for so long..."
I gasped like someone just took the last chocolate chip cookie even though I clearly stated it was mine.
"I am not a coward!"
"Yes you are- Ooo!"
"What?"
He pointed behind me and I followed his line of vision and saw Donavan approaching Tia's Xafé with an agitated look on his face. With the way he was walking I could tell that someone made him mad.
Diego's brows rose when he saw that Donny's hair was dyed in a similar fashion to mine and his eyebrows rose and he mouthed the words 'Tell me later' before abandoning me at the table.
I rolled my eyes and saw Donavan enter Tia's Café with his eyes frantically searching the place. His posture relaxed a bit when he saw me but still had a firmness to it. He stormed over to my table and sat down.
"Why weren't you at your house?"
Wow... No hi... Hello.
"Am I always supposed to be at my house?"
He glared at me and I found myself looking down like I just did something wrong.
"How else am I supposed to find you if you magically disappear?"
"Why didn't you just call me?"
He sighed and got and stood next to me and took my hand in his and proceeded to lead me out of the Café.
"Would you stop dragging me everywhere?"
He let go of my hand and found myself missing the small moment of contact but decided to get to the bottom of this outburstful behavior.
So like the brat I am I stood in front of him blocking his way and looked him in the eyes.
"What is wrong with you today?"
He quickly looked away and tried to side step me but I moved in that direction as well.
"Nothing... Now can we just go?"
"No... I'm not liking this energy from you. It's very clear that someone pissed you off and you need a release so today you're coming with me."
Before he could object I grabbed his hand for a change and began to lead him. He resisted a little bit but after he saw that I was determined he stopped fusing.
Once we finally got to where I wanted to take us we stopped in front of the two doors that lead to the entrance.
"Seriously... A gym?"
"Correction. This is a fighter club gym."
"So what are we doing here?"
"To lead out pent up aggression by hitting things..."
I proceeded to pull him through the doors. I greeted Mark at the front desk along with a couple of other guys who I haven't seen in while.
A few years ago Lucian had me take up self defense classes to protect myself since a lot of people were apparently out to get me and just having demon strength wasn't enough.
Something about demons being jealous that I got a chance to hang out with the crown prince and get a chance at being queen without working for it.
At first I didn't believe him but I got jumped but a group of demons not two weeks after my arrival in the human realm since apparently this is neutral territory and any acts of treason committed here technically don't count if you don't get caught.
I got a tank top and a pair of shorts for him and handed them to him to change while I did the same and told him to meet me on the mat in ten minutes.

I THINK I CURED MY WRITERS BLOCK... LIKE HOW THE FUCK IT HAPPENED I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA.
TODAY WHILE I WAS CHARGING MY PHONE I NOTICED THAT INSTEAD OF CHARGING IT WAS TAKING BATTERY POWER?!?!?
I ALMOST HAD A PANIC ATTACK BECAUSE I THOUGHT MY CHARGER WAS BROKEN BUT TURNS OUT THAT IT WAS SLIGHTLY DISCONNECTED AND I WAS USING MY PHONE AT THE TIME SO THE BATTERY JUST DECREASED.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE IF IT WAS BROKEN... I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DIED.
ANYWAY...
