Chapter 73: Chapter 73 - Obstruction
Wanting to talk more with Fang Yuan, Jia Li invited him to dine with her to which he agreed.
After speaking in detail with Jia Li and asking her about the type of Gu which are in demand now, Fang Yuan decided to leave. Jia Li had asked him to bring the Gu he had refined with him tomorrow so that she could check it out.
Fang Yuan agreed and left her tent with five bags of primeval stones which he got from selling the Mudskin Toad, after which he returned to his room with Mo Meili and the rest who helped him to carry the bags. Once they placed the bags and the two rocks on Fang Yuan's bed he had them return to their houses as it was already quite late.
Once he was alone in his room, Fang Yuan thought about what had just happened.
'Strange. That was really strange. What did the heck happen to Jia Jin Sheng? And why is the person who is leading the caravan Jia Gui and not Jia Fu? From what I remember Jia Fu and Jia Jin Sheng were in the same group. And Jia Fu and Jia Gui were competing for the assets of their family and the role of the clan leader.'
'For some reason, the one who came to trade with Gu Yue Clan this time around is Jia Gui and not Jia Fu. That's the only possibility I can think of. But why? Why did the events change?'
'Well, it doesn't matter too much. I had planned to form a business relationship with someone from the Jia Clan, it doesn't matter too much if the person with whom I form that relationship changes. Just that Jia Jin Sheng would have been easier to manipulate and I would have been able to get more resources out of him that's all.'
Since he had no idea how these events changed, Fang Yuan decided not to waste his time thinking about them and focus on what he had to do next.
Knowing that the merchant caravan will arrive soon Fang Yuan had been refining a few Gu worms intending to use them to get in contact with Jia Jin Sheng, using them he would help alleviate his situation and form a friendly relationship, thereby building a good and positive relationship with him, which he would further develop to exploit him in the future.
'I refined Gu worms thinking that I would be selling them to Jia Jin Sheng. But it turned out that now I will have to sell them to Jia Li.'
Thinking about how the person he was preparing to do business with suddenly changed and how he will have to do his best to make some changes to his approach which he had put so much effort into Fang Yuan had a headache.
'It can't be helped. I need to sell this refined Gu to her no matter what or else I will face quite a big loss. Let this be a lesson, so that in the future when I prepare for a situation I will make some backup plans otherwise I will possibly end up with enormous losses.'
As there was nothing he could do but accept the current situation, Fang Yuan began preparing for the meeting the next day before going off to sleep.

After the morning training with the girls. Fang Yuan washed up and got ready for his meeting with Jia Li. He picked up a sample of all the Gu worms that he had refined and took it with him.
'Haa… I really hope everything goes well.' Fang Yuan thought as he left his room and walked in the direction of the caravan.
"Fang Yuan!!"
Fang Yuan stopped when he heard someone calling him from behind and turned around only to see that the one who was calling out to him turned out to be Mo Yan.
Mo Yan and another female Gu Master who appeared to be her friend were standing there. If Fang Yuan had to guess then it was likely that they were waiting there for him.
'Damn!!' Fang Yuan couldn't help but curse in his mind.
"Where are you going?" Mo Yan asked when she was close enough.
"To the caravan." Fang Yuan answered.
"Good. Then let's go together." Mo Yan said as she caught Fang Yuan's hand and pulled him along.
"*Ahem* Mo Yan I have some personal business to attend to. So you go on ahead I will catch up with you later." Fang Yuan said as he pulled his hand out of her grasp.
"What personal business? What is it that you can't tell me? After all, you and I are already lovers." Mo Yan said, she purposely raised her voice while saying the last sentence, attracting the attention of the people nearby. After which she wrapped her arms around Fang Yuan's neck and lightly kissed his lips before separating and holding his hands again.
"Oh look it's Fang Yuan and Mo Yan."
"I heard that Mo Yan was deeply moved when she heard of Fang Yuan's heroic deeds. As such the first thing she did when she returned from her mission was immediately go look for Fang Yuan to declare her feelings to him."
"Those two are made for each other."
It took everything in his power to keep his face from scrunching up when he heard the words of Mo Yan and the villagers nearby.
'FUCK! While I knew that forming such a relationship with Mo Yan will draw Mo Clan's attention I didn't think they would place so much importance on me or could it that it's not Mo Clan but Mo Yan herself who's more interested in me? Fuck I think I have messed up this time.' Fang Yuan cursed in his mind, as he felt Mo Yan increase her strength used to hold his hand.
