Chapter 11: Ponyville - part 3.
As they were walking towards a fountain in the nearby park where the bird choir was supposed to be having a rehearsal, they spotted two familiar figures having a heated discussion with a certain yellow mare that had a beautiful pink mane.
As they approached, Starfall called out to the Dragon who appeared to be... flexing their muscles?
"Hey Spike! You two having fun?"
Spike turned towards his 'parents' and waved to them in greetings.
"Hey Starfall! Twilight! We were just speaking with Fluttershy about her Bird Choir's readiness for the Celebration. Everything seems to be going great and Phoebe almost got herself dragged as a new member." He pointed back with his claw towards where, on the perch beside the normal Birds, there was also one large White Phoenix singing much louder than the other birds.
Her voice was much better than your regular bird's but she was singing completely out of tune with the others and appeared to be having a hard time adjusting.
Starfall laughed.
"Seems like you will need to take a few lessons before you can sing in a group Phoebe. Until then, your Solo play is certainly enough." He said.
"Oh yes! She has such a beautiful voice! It's such a shame that she won't be able to perform tonight!" Exclaimed Fluttershy with her voice barely above a whisper but clearly full of emotions.
The two ponies turned to her and decided to introduce themselves...or at least tried to, because Fluttershy instantly became, well...shy.
Starfall turned to Spike.
"Can you introduce us?" He asked.
"Spike nodded and said.
"This is Fluttershy, she's responsible for the music during the Celebration. Fluttershy, this is Starfall Blueblood and Twilight Sparkle, They are the Ponies I was telling you about earlier." He said and Fluttershy nodded to them in greetings shyly.
"Hi... I'm Fluttershy...Nice to meet you." She whispered.
Starfall had to admit that she was the definition of cuteness. He smiled at her and she blushed while returning the smile lightly.
"So...If everything is alright, then we should probably go back to the Library. Spike, Phoebe. Do you want to stay here with Fluttershy or are you going back with us?" Asked Twilight.
"Oh it's alright, we also were just about to go looking for you! Let's go!" relied Spike while Phoebe jumped into the air and landed on his back.
"L-library?! Oh I'll walk you back then!" Said The Yellow Pegasus and Starfall had a suspicion that she had a reason other than just being nice and something lingered at the edge of his memory.
He should have looked into his old notes about the future, before coming here. People tend to forget little details after so much time have passed. 'Meh, it's probably nothing important...' He thought.

'So That's what it was...' Thought Starfall as he looked at all the ponies that came for the surprise party that Pinkie created. Twilight was swooped by the momentum of the Pink Party Pony as she gave her a cupcake laced with hot sauce and he watched with amusement as his childhood friend run to the bathroom to flush out the taste with cold water. Fun fact... it was her fist time in the library so instead of a bathroom the first room she walked into was a broom closet.
"And what about you! Were you surprised? Were ya? Were ya?' Inquired the overexcited Pinkie Pie.
He really needed to check her magic for any abnormalities as some of the things she did sometimes should not have been actually possible...
"Oh yes! I felt that something was about to happen, but I totally didn't expect a surprise Party! I'm really flattered that you did something like this for us Pinkie." Said Starfall truthfully. He really forgot about that part, maybe because the day was quiet different from how it happened in the show or maybe because the last time he watched the first episode was a year before his Reincarnation into Equestria...
"That's great! I really love making Ponies happy, and I just couldn't help myself when I saw two new ponies in Ponyville! Please enjoy the party and let's become the bestestestes of friends!" She Exclaimed.
Starfall laughed and ruffled her wild cotton candy-like mane, surprisingly making her blush.
"I'm sure we will Pinkie, I'm sure we will..."

The party was a blast just like Starfall expected. Pinkie Pie is clearly very proficient in what she does, and it was easy to tell that she was having as much fun as the Ponies in attendance.
When she was finally rid of the hot sauce in her mouth, Twilight returned to the party and joined Starfall in the discussion Starfall had with Doctor Whoves. As it turns out, the guy was not actually The Doctor, but he was still a guy fairly proficient in knowledge about time, technology and many other subject. Starfall found him a very pleasant company who he decided to meet later, if only to talk about science. The guy was really fun if a little clumsy.
Twilight seeing that she was not in the topic, decided to go and chat with Fluttershy who was hiding in the corner together with Phoebe. Spike was already tucked to bed as he was exhausted from running around the entire village all day.
Then, Starfall left Doctor Whoves to his own devices and turned to chat with the other ponies in attendance.
Ditzy Doo, who Ponies of Ponyville usually call Derpy albeit not in a derogatory manner, was an interesting Pony.
She suffered an accident in her childhood that permanently damaged her depth perception, but despite all this she still decided to pursue a carrier as a mail-mare.
Starfall liked her sense of humor and the fact that she wasn't ashamed or self conscious about her condition.
Mr and Mrs Cake were a nice couple that clearly loved each other by the way they were behaving. They were actually much younger than Starfall expected, only being about ten years older than Starfall himself.
They promised to treat him with their best cupcake that won't be laced with any type of hot sauce and Starfall had to give it to the two bakers. They knew how to attract new customers!
The party ended With Starfall and Twilight socializing with Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy in the game of 'Pin the tail to the Mule'.
He could have easily won the game with the use of his Mage Sight, that could help him with deducing the direction, but that would be cheating.
In the end Rainbow Dash won by pinning the tail perfectly in the right spot while Starfall came out the close second by nailing the poor mule on the forehead. It was far from where it was supposed to go but all the others had their tails sticking out of the wall around the painting or laying in the bowl of punch...Don't ask how Pinkie did it, but afterwards no one wanted to drink that punch, because as it turns out, she made those tails from hair collected from a manedresser two streets away...
When the party was over, the girls proposed to help Pinkie pie and the two residents in cleaning up the mess to which they happily agreed.
Twilight surprised everyone with how easily she could clean using her magic and she blushed saying that her mother taught her a few tricks about it.
Pinkie pie was a cleaning tornado, as she run around dusting the floor with her own Mane, which caused Rarity to faint in horror at least two times.
Starfall had fun teasing her about it as her fainting very often happened close to him, making him catch her in the process. He suspected that she was doing it on purpose...
Applejack was the most effective right after Twilight and Starfall with their magic while Rainbow Dash was constantly being distracted by a certain phoenix that found herself a new perch atop her rainbow mane.
Fluttershy would often giggle while observing Phoebe's antics, but otherwise she was also cleaning the mess in her own pace which honestly was pretty slow even for her. She must have been really exhausted as Starfall could see the small bangs under her eyes.
When everything was finally clean, Twilight proposed that they stay over tonight, as it was already pretty late and the Summer Sun Celebration was happening in the morning. The girls agreed and Starfall showed off by transforming the floor into a comfy mattress.
Everyone stayed up for a little while longer before finally going to sleep.
Pinkie Pie proposed a game of truth or dare but the ponies were too exhausted so the game was postponed for their next get together.
Twilight was worried that it might be a long time before that happens but Starfall reminded her that there was such a nifty little thing like teleportation, and even if she was yet to completely grasp the ability, he was already using the Spell for a couple of years. Add to it his larger than normal reserves of magic and you get an easy three jumps way from Canterlot straight to Ponyville.
She must have really taken a liking to those girls as his idea prompted Twilight to give him a kiss on the cheek in gratitude, followed by a lot of teasing ooohs and ahhhs originating from the other girls and an amused trill from Phoebe.
They woke up a few hours later to take care of their last duties or just go towards the town hall where the Summer Sun Celebration was taking place...
Starfall send a last glance at the moon, that was still visible in the middle of the night sky. He felt a chill run through his body as the Moon appeared to be empty. The Mare on the Moon was gone...
