Chapter 2: SHADOW OF DEATH
"How could you kill Lena?! She is… she is…"
I can feel it, this guy is being frightened by me but he built all his courage for a single punch that might end his own life. His cries are sincere and sad that my heart could tear but I wonder why. Why am I smiling right now?
"Ah! Lena, if my memory serves me right, that ugly bitch confessed to me the other day, I am so disgusted that it made me throw up." I wonder why I am saying these words I am not meant to. "Looking at her ugly face bawling while I am stabbing her feels quite nice though. Her lovey-dovey face turned into instant despair; I could do nothing but laugh. That bitch's life serves as a payment for confessing to me, otherwise I would never even lay a hand to an ugly bitch like that." I wonder why I can't stop saying these things. I can barely hear myself nor feel my surroundings.

After the intervention of Teivel, I immediately left the classroom. In that same instant I feel like my body has suddenly been released, I know that I am the one controlling my body in the first place but the anger and hatred that I felt in the classroom was gone. It doesn't feel like hypnotization, it is more like my emotion has been controlled instead of my mind.
I rushed back to the classroom to apologize for what I did but more strange things happened. There is no sign of the fight that just happened a few moments ago and everyone is in their proper seats. What is even stranger is that both Arnold and Lena were included when I say everyone.
"Oy, it's not like you to be so late Ori, did you hit on a girl on the way here?"
"Eh?" Just what in the world is happening?
"Don't 'eh?' me. It's almost eight y'know? Hurry up and take a seat." It is the normal Arnold but it is impossible for this to happen. I carried him to the infirmary a few hours ago. If I go there, I can definitely see him.
Running with all my might, in order to prove that I am right, I rushed into the infirmary. There I saw the same staff that treated Arnold talking calmly with a man that resembles Teivel. His face and hair is neat and is not wearing glasses. "Hey there student, you should not run in the hallways. You might get hurt. Don't be like this idiot here!"
"H-hello! I mean, good morning Orion."
"Eh!" Now that I look up closely, he is the same height and has the same body build. "Could it be that you really are Teivel?"
"Eh, y-yes. I am indeed Teivel. Do-do you need something from me Orion?" He is stuttering less now than when he was at the classroom. No, how could he even be here? I remember he is the classroom earlier. I tried to remember more when I enter the classroom the second time but the memory seems fuzzy and I could not tell whether he is there or not.
"Ah, no. I am just here for some medicine for headache."
"A-are you sure you're alright?! Should I heal you?"
"Don't touch me garbage!" Teivel is about to touch me with his right hand but I brushed it off. He then backed off and moved further.
"I-I'm sorry!"
Teivel then run away from the infirmary. Later, as I go back in the classroom, there are not a single soul lingering but a sudden loud noise bothered me. It is the sound of screams of terror. A corpse has been found inside the men's bathroom. It is impaled by numerous ice-impales and has been frozen with the expression of despair. There and then I realized something, only one person in the academy can do this cruel display of power. The sole Ice Element user that is hailed as genius even by elder generations, it is no other than me, Orion Stofford, and the unfortunate victim that I have killed is no other than my own classmate that has just transferred here, the third son of the Ellis noble family, Teivel.
"Ha-hahaha! How could I laugh in this situation? This is truly exhilarating. It's fun."
