Chapter 68: The Awakening: 13
Hela who never experienced a proper family in her life was happy. Today she slept in Victor's bed as she was tired from all the greetings and talks. Victor can only smile seeing this and went to sleep.
The next day, Hela went to hell for her new war preparation for conquering new planets.
While Thor, Loki, Hulk, Valkyrie, and others have reached Asgard to fight against the Hela. Instead, only saw the peaceful Asgard. Thor asked the guards. The guard mentioned the God of death and what happened in Asgard.
Thor – What she got married and now left Asgard. Father said Hela will be destruction for Asgard. What is happening?
Valkyrie was the most surprised one. Is Hela being that simple and what is with her getting married? But this confusion only lasted for one day until Thor got the information of Hela starting a war on a planet. He moved with Valkyrie and others to stop Hela. One the way they got attacked by the Thanos army while killing the Loki who betrayed Thanos. But Thor was left by the Thanos to die in space by Thanos.
Thanos got space stone from Loki. While he moved towards Asgard to destroy it. But was stopped by Hela who arrived with Victor's army. Because of the uncertainty in fighting Hela now, Thanos decided to kill Hela and destroy Asgard after he got other infinity stones. He retreated from the Asgard and went to find missing infinity stones. While Heimdall used his magical ability to transfer the defeated Hulk to earth to warn avengers. Thanos sends his army to find Hulk seeing the Bifrost bridge has sent someone to earth and also for time stone.
Later Tony's team is fighting the Chitauri army send by Thanos to find Hulk and infinity stones. But they also retreated under Tony's team from New York only to come back later with a larger force.
Under Victor's earlier instruction Tony decided to not follow them. But wait for them to come back to retrieve the mind stone, time stone in Wakanda. Tony's team moved towards Wakanda where Steve's team is now staying after the civil war.
While Thanos killed the collector and got other stones except for the mind, soul stone. Later using reality stone, he captured Gamora and sacrificed her for soul stone. Then, moved towards the earth by opening a portal for his army and started the war in Wakanda. Tony and Steve's team forgot their differences started their fight against the Thanos.
While the remaining members of Guardian of the Galaxy meet Thor. Under Thor's idea, they helped him make the ax called Storm breaker in the Nidavellir.
Then he was transported to the battle in Wakanda with other guardians of galaxy members using the Bifrost bridge. Thanos was still having a good fight against the Avengers when he arrived. Thor who was angry about the death of Loki used his Stormbreaker to fight against Thanos. But they were under pressure of Thanos increasing Chitauri army. The avengers are getting more injured and tired in a fight with Thanos and his generals.
When they were on the edge of defeat because of the overpowering Chitauri army a shadow portal opened. Hela with her army (Also some of Victors' army) came out of it.
Hela shot her knife towards Thanos and his spaceships. Under the explosion of Chitauri spaceships, the fight between Hela and Thanos is happening. Thanos used his infinity stones to hurt Hela severely. But the injured Hela was caught by Victor's shadow appeared out of nowhere.
Victor healed the injuries of Hela which was not healing because of the infinity stones effect within a second.
Thanos verifying Victor as an enemy ran towards him to kill him. Thanos even used the infinity stones to the full extent to kill Victor. But infinity stones had no effect on Victor to Thanos's surprise and Thanos instantly got bounded by shadow chains and his army was instantly slaughtered into his new shadow soldiers.
Victor – You should greet your fathers' best friends as an uncle. Instead, you greeted me with a fist. What a rude child? I should teach you properly instead of Mentor.
Thanos hearing his father's name was surprised. What my father had a friend I don't know of?
Victor snapped his finger the Thanos was bounded to shadow the illusion of how he died in the future under Thor's Stormbreaker and saw how the remaining people live in sadness while hated him for killing half the universe population randomly using infinity stones.
Seeing this Thanos ambition was overwhelmed with revenge for his future self. Only hatred remained in his heart now.
Victor disappeared with Hela and the army into the shadow portal. The shadow chains also started to disappear.
Thanos who was angry for his future self forgot his true ambition started to fight against the Avengers madly.
While Dr. Strange said to Tony and vision "The only one chance to kill the Thanos and stop the inevitable is here is here". Tony understanding that looked towards Steve who was standing with him.
Steve – Avenger assemble.
Tony - Our only chance to stop inevitable is here.
Avengers for the first time after civil acted as a team to defeat the Thanos army.
While the Hulk who was not obeying the Bruce came out with uncontrollable anger towards the Thanos.
Victor showed Bruce something that made him lost his control over anger. While avengers were focused on the Chitauri army. Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron man were fighting against the Thanos and his control suffered a backlash from infinity powers in the gauntlet.
Seeing backlash caused by infinity gauntlet, Thanos ordered a suicide attack on Avenger to the Chitauri army. Hulk who angry beat Thanos to the level he was unexpected and Thor used his Stormbreaker to severe Thanos head. Tony removed the stones from the gauntlet. Vision sacrificed himself removed his mind stone under Wanda's prying eyes. Tony used the infinity stones to erase the existence of Thanos and his army from history. Tony also destroyed the infinity stones while almost killed him before saved by the healing magic left by Victor before when he snapped. But Tony was left with a burning scar on his right hand.
After the victory, everyone started to take care of the injured and the people who have died in the war. Tony was bought back to heal the scars and bleeding in it.
Victor who watching all of it with Hela through the Hela can only sigh.
Hela – They won the war right. Why are still not happy?
Victor – This is just the beginning. Only in this reality Thanos died but in another.
Victor showed the shadow vision to Hela. They lost the war and they find a way to return everything to normal.
Victor – I can't intervene in the life of a mortal directly. I can only influence them to do something or manipulate them to do something. The victory and defeat are a continuous cycle in this universe. The next war will come for those who have entered the new era.
Victor left Hela in bed to bring her food. After dinner, Hela went to a night of sleep. Victor stood near the window watching the full moon in the sky thinking about something.
While Tony was with Thor.
Tony – Happy to meet your brother-in-law.
Thor – What is happening? Why did she help us? Why the shadow god intervenes in the fight but not helped us against Thanos?
Tony – But it seemed Sister-in-law was only fighting with Thanos for revenge against something not helping us. Victor can't intervene in mortal life directly that's why and also it is to not offend the other gods.
Thor – What do you mean by sister-in-law?
Tony – Oh! I forgot to mention the shadow god we met was my bestie, he lives a normal life on earth.
Tony showed him the pictures of Hela and Victor in newspapers.
Thor – What is she doing here on earth? Living a normal life.
Tony – I only know they got married under your father's request.
Thor – What my father?
Tony – Let's talk about something. We should prepare for the future and what if an army like Thanos Chitauri army comes to earth again.
With that next morning came orange sunlight.
Hela who waked up was surprised to see Victor sleeping near to her in the bed but didn't care about it. She went to change for the delicious breakfast in the morning.
After breakfast, Victor went to Hela and said "You want to do something different right?"
Hela - What do you mean?
Victor – I will bring you to another reality of the universe for you to conquer. I have already informed William and Meng Tian about our travel. Also, got approval.
With that Victor and Hela disappeared into a portal and appeared in a new land which was almost the same as the previous world but devastated by something. No living things can be seen.
