Chapter 15 - Traumatic experience
Jewel was walking home from their short gathering when she saw someone blocking her way.
Right now, she was in the part where the lights are dim, the same place where she first meets Lavor. But the problem was that the person ahead of her was clearly not Lavor.
The person has a bigger build than Lavor, he's wearing a black hooded jacket so she can't clearly see the face of the person.
Looking at the person, she doesn't felt right. It is as if the person standing there was waiting for her.
She grown and step back, but she also saw the man started walking towards her.
She can't help feeling nervous and decided to walk back to the raid she was walking earlier.
She walked and walked faster.
But when she looked back, she also saw the man also started walking faster following her.
She can't help but felt nervous.
She started running but then saw the person also started running following her.
She now then realized that the person was indeed there for her. He was waiting for her.
But before she could run farther away, the person already catches up to her.
"Where do you think you're going?" It was a scary voice from a man.
The man holds her right arm tightly.
"What do you want from me?" Jewel asked trying to act tough.
She was trying to pull her arm from the man's hold but it was useless as the man was holding her very tightly that it was already going numb.
"It's not like I want to do this to a small girl such as yourself. But I have already received the payment and what's need to be done has to be done."
Jewel was shocked when she heard this, there's actually someone who wants something to happen to her.
But she had no time to think of who was the person behind this because the man already pulled her closer to him.
She tried to struggle again but it was futile because the man was much bigger and stronger than her.
"Stay away from me!" She shouts near the man's ear and stomped on his feet. This time, she struggles so hard that she could almost escape.
Almost, but it was not enough.
He caught her again then she was suddenly pushed to the nearby wall. Before she could react to anything, the man was already in front of her. Raising both her hand, he holds them above her head.
His face then slowly get close to her that she could already clearly see his face.
"What a fiery girl?" He said while staring at her.
The man looks like in his forties. His eyes were bloodshot as if he was on drugs. There's also scars of a wound on his face from across his eyes to his cheek. This only makes him look even scarier.
Then he suddenly smiled at Jewel, his face was so close that she could clearly see those yellow and blackening teeth, maybe because of too much smocking.
She can't help feeling disgusted seeing it. She felt even more disgusted when he started talking and the smell of his mouth flow to her.
"Well, this job was not that bad either, seeing that your so beautiful. Your skin is so smooth." The man said while looking at her as if he was looking at his prey.
Then she noticed the man stared at her lips. She felt goosebumps thinking what the man would do.
" Those lips look as fresh as cherries. I wonder if it tastes the same way as to how it looks."
She was indeed not wrong, and she was so shocked and scared while hearing it.
She then saw the man's face getting closer to her. As if he really planning on kissing her.
Seeing the face getting closer and closer to her, she felt so scared that she immediately tightly shut her mouth, shut her eyes, and face the other side.
But she didn't expect that she would feel a lick on her neck instead.
While she managed to escape and secured her lips but she didn't expect to exposed her neck.
"Well, your neck was also not so bad. You smell so good." She then heard the man said this and lick her neck even more.
She shivered feeling the lick on her neck.
She felt so disgusted and scared.
She was so scared that bad memories seem to come back, a happening in the past that was hidden deep deep inside her mind started to emerge.
The memories from her high school days.
How she was almost raped.
How the man tops her, how his disgusting hand roams on her body. How he took off her clothes one by one.
She felt so disgusted, helpless, and scared.
But must of all, she felt so angry.
After all, that person was one of the people she treated as a friend.
This was why she doesn't trust men except for her brother.
No matter how much they say about 'love' or how much they confess their love to you but do they really meant what they're saying, or what they really wanted was only your body?
Then she suddenly felt her body being freed.
Without anyone holding her, she immediately s to the ground.
When she looked where the man has gone, she saw him knocked out on the ground.
And when she looked to the place where the man was earlier, she saw Lavor in a punching pose. It seems liked Lavor was knocked out on the ground in one punch.
Seeing this, she can't help but felt relieved. Her body goes smooth as if all her strength left her body.
Seeing her liked this, Lavor worriedly gets closer to her.
But before he could get close enough, Jewel suddenly moved back on instinct. Her body was shivering without her control.
She was traumatized once again.
Today's experience added to her past experience made her emotions jumbled up. And her body can't help but shivered.
Seeing her reaction, Lavor was shocked again. Seeing this girl who likes to act tough was now acting like a weak girl. He felt helpless once again.
He can't help but felt worried about this sharp tongue girl.
So instead of getting closer, he moved back.
Far but not far enough and closer but not close enough.
He stayed in a position not so close yet not so far either.
" It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you. Everythings going to be alright. You'll be alright. Trust me, please." In a calm voice and gentle smile, Lavor said to Jewel while reaching out his hand to her.
He was trying to let her calm down through this.
He wants her to calm down with his help.
Since she was afraid and don't want to be touched. He didn't force her.
He knows that what happened today made her traumatized. But they can't just stay here forever.
Since it's like that, he decided to let her decide on her own. Reaching out was so that she could make a decision. Aside from that, he also wants her to immediately overcome her trauma.
It is like that, but what he really wants to get from this situation, what he really wants to have was her trust.
He wants her to trust in him.
Then he was shocked to find Jewel reaching out her hands to him.
