Chapter 2: YUGTO 2: Devil's Time [Part I: Pringles]

[Vanilla's POV]

I crouched down a little to grab the paper. I raised an eyebrow, reading what's written on it.

"12:00 NN is the devil time!

You ONLY have 2 hours left

To HIDE!

Now GO!"

"Hide my butt" I muttered to myself, folding the paper into half and sliding it inside my backpack. Where should I go now? I look around and spotted the garden. Should I go there? Nah, maybe next time. I let out a sigh as I remembered something disgusting. I keep walking while searching for this school abandoned places. Tbh, there's a lot to go to.

"Yin told me that there is a hidden ladder at the end of the alley" I continue walking at this boring hallway and I think it was really abandoned since I can't see any students here except for me of course. "I think this is it?" I said to myself, spotting a steady looking ladder covered with rust. "Let's see what is up there!" I sarcastically said, climbing up carefully. When I reached the top nothing special caught my eye. As I expected but then I saw a name tag. "It looks old and dusty" I commented as I blew some air around the name tag. As the letters gets visible, I finally see the name. Irene Bayer. That's what it say.

"Irene Bayer" I said the name again. Should I throw it? Nah~ I'll keep it for a while just in case someone finds time to look for it. At my stay in this abandoned rooftop. I tried to appreciate the whole view of this school but nothing really impresses me. Everything seems pretty normal. Students are just above average and the teachers? Well, they're not even helpful if I may say. "How about checking my schedule first?" I face palm myself as I remembered I didn't got the chance to asks Julia about that since Tristan showed up and messes things up a little bit. I put the name tag inside my backpack's secret pocket and climbed down the rusted ladder carefully. I dusted my hands off once I reached the ground. "Way to find my way back to the student council" I muttered. I walk through the same hallway and turned right to find the same spot we separated. I walk straight seeing the oak doo--

"Yah! I told you to hide!" An unfamiliar girl said gripping on my arm tightly. She drags me somewhere very quickly. I'm confused but I didn't complained. I just let her. Maybe cuz I'm tired? But that doesn't make any sense. "Let's hide in here for a while" she said opening a small room then pushes me inside. She turned on the not so helpful bulb and locked the door securely. I watches her rummaging in her bag. She offered me a can of pringles then forcefully handled it to me since I'm just looking at her confused.

"What are we doing here?" I asked curiously. She covered my mouth and moved closer to me. Suddenly, she turned off the bulb and the dark engulfs us completely. I'm about to complain when she tightens her palm over my lips.

"Did you find her already?"

"Someone told me she's just passing through the hallways"

"Which hallway?"

"I don't know. Let's just split up and find her"

"Yeah~ before anyone else does!"

"HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!"

I raised an eyebrow, feeling a little scared hearing those girls talking just outside this room and they're fucking searching for me! I can also feel my forehead slowly covered with popcorn sweats. I closed my eyes tightly hearing footsteps walking away. The girl beside me sigh in relief turning on the bulb again. "They will torture you once they see you!" She informed me, now eating her pringles. I am still scared to come out of this room but I have to. I don't want to be stuck in here with a can of pringles. I won't survive with that!

"Why would they do that?" I asked, calming myself. She bite another piece of her pringles and gaze at me. "Cuz they want to" she answered still eating. I nodded my head in response and eat the pringles she gave me. I guess it has been half an hour now since we hide here. She already finished her pringles, so did I. She checks the time on her wristwatch then suddenly smile at me. "Lets go somewhere else before they found you" she said holding my hand. Once we got off the room, we ran in a long hallway and turned right exiting through an old broken door. I roamed my eyes around the area and everything are so old, used and broken. Not a shocking thing, I may say.

"This is the old parking lot right?" I asked roaming around. She just nodded her head and sit on one of the broken chairs. I just hope she won't fa--"Aww! My butt!?" She winced in pain, sitting on the dirty ground instead. I shake my head and offered her my hand, she took it gladly dusting off her skirt. "That chair was obviously broken. Why you still sit though?" I curiously asked, doing my thing, and looking for some thing catchy. I raised an eyebrow when she suddenly giggles. "Something funny?" I asked again then she nodded her head, smiling widely. This girl is surely weird.

"I just remembered someone" she answered, still smiling at me. I just nodded my head and walk further. "Are we going to get weapons here or something?" I innocently asked, earning a smile from her again. This girl is really weird. "Silly~ nope. I'm just accompanying you till the devil hour is over" she said, smiling more. "And why would you do that?" I threw her another question. She pout for a while and pointed her index finger towards my direction. "I don't want to see you get hurt" she stated, smiling like a three year old child.

Honestly speaking it did caught me off guard and even made me blush but another thing really confuses me. Why is she so concerned about me?
