Chapter 4: What Are You Two Doing?!
Phillips Smith prepared a delicious macaroni with cheese for Baby while she was still sleeping. As soon as he finished preparing it, Baby woke up with a line of tears in her eyes. Her father rushed to her and used a wet tissue to wipe it off and then he hugged her. And while hugging her father, she said to him…
"Father?"
"Yes Baby"
"I'm not going...to do that job!"
*Sigh!*
Phillips Smith sighed deeply and then he said to Baby and stroked her.
"It's fine, baby. You can stay right here with father, hm?
I will go to Mr. Dane and explain to him. Don't you worry about a thing"
"But father, will he agree to it?"
"Why won't he?
He has to!
Don't think about that too much, hm?
I prepared one of your favorites. Come to the dining table and let father feed you. Oh, my Baby! I'm truly a blessed man!"
Baby smiled and then they walked to the dining room and pulled out their chairs and sat in them. Right there, Phillips Smith started feeding his daughter. It was really sweet.
"Take the last one, Baby?"
"I don't want more, father"
"I know, Baby. Just this one and we are done, yeah?"
"Ok…"
After eating, the father and daughter sat on the couch with Baby's head on his chest. Her father was busy stroking her hair lovingly with a smile on his face. They both sat there in that position for awhile until they heard a knock at the door. Baby stood up and was gripped by surprise. That visitor was the last person she expected to come look for her.
"Hello, Mr. Phillips"
"Sssir Dane?"
Both father and daughter were stunned. It was really one big surprise to have the almighty Diam come to their house that evening.

"Where is that girl?
This is past the hour that I asked her to meet me here.
Why is she not here yet?
What might be the problem?"
Diam was getting impatient right there in his office. He had stayed in waiting for Baby to come to his office as planned so they could go to his place together. After waiting for awhile, he decided to go to her place and see what the problem might be.
"Sir, Dane. The car is ready"
His chauffeur said to him.
"Okay! But we are not going home yet. We are going to Mr. Phillips's house"
"Yes sir"
And so, they left his office and straight to Phillips Smith's house.

"Why are you here, sir?"
All the while in that house, Diam did not stop looking at Baby which made Phillips Smith really uncomfortable. Diam glanced at the man and then he said…
"I should be the one questioning and not you?
Why didn't I see your daughter as agreed?
I had to come to you instead to see what was holding her"
"Umm...sir Dane?
We are truly sorry for the troubles. My daughter won't be doing that job you offered her anymore. We will work really hard and pay back"
"Haha…"
Diam laughed out loud and then gave a deadly glare to the father and daughter pair. That expression was very rare to see. He only made that face whenever he was really furious. They felt the chills and did not dare look at the man a second time.
"You should stop spouting nonsense and tell your daughter to get her luggage and go with me right now!!"
He barked at them. His beautiful green eyes became dark. It was like all their souls were being sucked out by him. Baby's father started shaking and immediately hugged Baby who was already shedding tears right there. Baby did not make a sound but the tears just could stop flowing.
"Baby?
My Baby?"
He called out to her sweetly while rubbing her back and she answered in a very low voice.
"Yes...father"
"You don't have to go with him if you don't want to. I will plead with him to let you go"
Diam creased his forehead when he heard what Baby's father had said and in the next second, he spoke with his deep voice.
"What are you two doing?!
Do you think I have time for this?!"
"I...we are sorry, sir Diam. My daughter…"
"Mr. Phillips?!
You know me well. Delays are one thing that I hate the most! Your daughter has already signed an irrevocable contract with me and my lawyer is keeping it safe!
Your daughter does not have any right whatsoever to refuse my orders! So, if you know what is good for you and your daughter, you better bring out her luggage and put it in my car in the next five minutes!
Unless you are ready to settle for a breached contract!"
Diam said those last words and left the sitting room. The father almost died right there after hearing what Diam had said. He did not expect that at all. He very well knows Diam and knows that a contract with him is like willing selling one's soul to the devil!
"Baby?
My sweet Baby?
Oh! This is not good at all, baby.
Why did you sign that without informing me first?"
Phillips Smith spoke to his daughter in the softest voice possible, while wiping off the tears from her eyes. Baby could not look at him.
"Father, I'm sorry.
*Sniffs*
I knew you wouldn't agree to it, that was why I didn't tell you. Please, forgive me, father"
"Sigh!... It's alright my child.
Don't cry, hm?
Mr. Diam is a nice man in his own way. He just doesn't like it when one has two months. You go with him and start first. I will try to see what I can do about releasing you"
"It's alright, father. Please, don't try anything. Just do your usual. I will try to work hard and pay off our debt"
"Ok, my child. You are blessed, my child!"
"Thank you, father"

After the hugging and crying, the father and child finally let go of each other and Baby entered into Diam's car and off they went. After a few minutes' ride, they arrived at the breathtaking environment. The sight was so beautiful.
"Come in, let me show you around!"
"Yes, sir Diam"
