Chapter 2: Mael Albus Grindewald.

Inside a tiny bedroom is a kid stuffing what little belongings he has in a bag. The bed room is quite bare and rundown. The kid has shoulder-length curly pale blonde hair. He has two mismatched eyes, his left is an eery pale blue while his right is a beautiful emerald green. He's wearing a long white sweater, baggy black pants and tattered black shoes. His ratty attire does nothing to hide his cute face. That's why he always gets treated better by the nuns running the orphanage then the other children.

The nuns can't help but give him anything he asks for. His charming personality combined with his adorable face is too much for the nuns to handle, especially the younger ones. The kids name is Mael Albus Grindewald.

While Mael was packing his door is suddenly pushed open. Mael wasn't startled and just continued packing.

An older woman in nuns clothing walks in, her name is Abigail.

Sister Abigail looks at Mael surprised to see him packing. He wasn't told that he'd be leaving today, so how did he know that he needs to pack.

She decides that he probably overheard them speaking and decide to pack his things.

"Mael!" She calls out to him.

"Yes sister Abigail?" Mael says in French.

"A man named Albus Dumbledore came to pick you up. He was friend of your grandfather's." Abigail informs him.

"Thanks for letting me know sister, I'm ready to go." Mael says excitedly and picks up his rugsack.

"We're really going to miss you here Mael." Abigail admits. Everyone at the orphanage kids and nuns have grown to love Mael becsuse of his his caring and kind personality.

"I'll miss you too sister." Male hugs Abigail. Abigail doesn't hesitate to hug him back.

After a few seconds they break apart.

"Let's go, Mr Dumbledore is waiting downstairs." She gestures towards the stairs.

Mael and Abigail walk downstairs. As they reach the bottom of the stairs Mael is immediately assaulted by the other orphans. All of them are crying, begging him not to go.

Eventually Mael's able to calm the orphans down with promises to visit them again in the future. Mael then greets the other nuns and thanks them for all their hard work looking after him and everyone else.

After saying his goodbyes Mael and Abigail walk outside, where the head nun Elise is talking to a tall thin old man with half-moon glasses.

Dumbledore as if sensing Mael instantly turns towards the boy and examines him.

Dumbledore's stunned for a few seconds as a young Grindewald's image overlaps with the child standing in front of him. Dumbledore has no doubt that this is Grindewalds grandson, the resemblance is undeniable. There's only small difference. Like Grindewald's left iris is blue, while the childs is green. However their right iris is exactly the same color. The childs face also looks sharper and more serious, giving him an air of nobility. Grindewald had more laxed features, that made him seem playful and friendly.

Dumbledore finally breaks out of his stupor and smiles at Mael.

Mael can't help but think his smile resembles that of a loving grandfather looking at their darling grandson, but he knows Dumbledore has only ever loved one person in his life, and that was Mael's grandfather Grindewald.

Wondering how Mael knows about his grandfather Grindewald and his former lover Dumbledore? Well since Mael was born he's had the ability to see into the future... and the past. For years Mael has been absorbing information from the past. While Mael can see very far into the past, the furthest he's ever seen into the future is a day.

Mael doesn't control what he sees, Like the time he saw an old Helga Hufflepuff taking a bath, he nearly threw up what he ate for breakfast that day. Unfortunately that image still haunts him to this day. Sometimes when he closes his eyes, he still sees her her saggy tits swaying low to the ground as she walked over to the tub, not to mention she even mas.... Mael stops his thoughts and decides to shift his focus on the old man next to him... Albus Dumbledore.

"Hello Mael." Dumbledore greets in a soft grandfatherly tone.

"Hello." Mael greets quietly. "It's nice to meet you in person Professor Dumbledore." Mael says politely, but quickly realizes he accidently slipped up and gave away information. Mael keeps his calm however and keeps on smiling.

But Dumbledore noticed Mael's slip. Dumbledore was curious to know how as to how Mael knew he was a professor, he never told any of the sisters about his profession. Inmeadiately Dumbledore suspects that he may have some of his grandfather's talents, namely being able to see glimpses of the future, but he'll have to question the boy later.

"Is everything in order my dear?" Dumbledore asks sister Elise a woman that looks as ancient as him even though she isn't close to his age.

"Yes Mr Dumbledore, everything's in order. Mael is officially your grandson." Sister Elise answers.

"Wonderfull!" Dumbledore exclaims excitedly.

Sister Elise then turns to Mael with a sad smile on her face. She places her hand on his forhead. "We'll miss you here Mael." A clear fondness in her voice as she speaks.

"I'll miss you all aswell sister." Mael says sincerely. Even though he's smiling everyone can there's a hint of sorrow hidden within that smile.

Mael loved living here, but he knows that staying here wouldn't be good for his future.

"Be a good boy for Mr Dumbledore, Mael." Sister Elise orders playfully.

"I always am sister." Mael says playfully.

Sister Elise rolls her eyes, knowing that's not true.

After their goodbyes, Albus and Mael leave the orphanage.

"Tell me Mael, how did you know I was a professor." Dumbledore asks with a raised eyebrow.

Mael looks up at Dumbledore and decides to tell him the truth it isn't that big of a deal and he for some reason feels that he can trust Dumbledore. "I saw you coming yesterday and recognized you as Dumbledore, former professor and current headmaster at Hogwarts." Mael explains partial truths, he doesn't mention that he called him professor from seeing everyone around him always calling him professor, even when he became headmaster, so Mael just blurted that out by accident.

"Ahh so you know all about magic then?" Dumbledore asks.

"Yes, and I know you're the man who defeated my grandfather and locked him in prison." Mael says in a voice devoid of emotion.

"How do you feel about that?" Dumbledore asks, wondering if the boy now hates him.

Mael looks up at Dumbledore with a stony expression on his face. "What my grandfather did was horrible, he deserves to be punished for his crimes." Mael says, his voice dead serious.

"Well you aren't wrong, surely you must still resent the fact that it was I who imprisoned him." Dumbledore tries to get Mael to tell him his true feelings.

Mael shakes his head. "I can't get angry at you over someone I've never met."

What an interesting answer and I feel that he is telling the truth. Dumbledore thinks to himself intrigued by the child in front of him.

"Why not? He's your family isn't he?" Dumbledore decides to test him some more.

"The people in the orphanage are my family." Mael answers.

Dumbledore suddenly thinks of something interesting. "We'll be heading to Spinners end my boy."

"Okay." Mael already knew this was coming.

"Since you know about magic, you know about apparition right."

"Yes an advanced form of magic used to travel far distances." Mael confirms.

"Correct." Dumbledore says impressed. "Alright grab my arm and hold on tight."

Mael grabs his arm and the two inmeadiately dissapear into thin air.
