Chapter 58: Suspicious

Lila rubbed his shoulders knowing this guilt was eating away at him. "Two victims is not what Old Fox would have wanted. You not being there at the time was perhaps the only thing that brought him joy in his final moment." 

"You're probably right?" Shaun sighed as he looked at the spot where the body was found. It was then Lila recalled something.

"It's funny Shaun because I could have sworn you had arrived that night," She said.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Shaun stopped in his tracks when those words were spoken. Lila didn't think much of it before recounting what she had heard, "I heard two distinct voices. One sounded no other than you, he said, 'You're a funny old man, and then another which was elderly  'You're time has come Fox.' Afterwards, the place went up in flames."
