Chapter 37: 37. Inter-school competition 2
They got inside and made their way to the classroom. After getting in, they saw the teacher was standing on the podium with 1 guy already in front of him.
During the previous month, some of the people were replaced in the Special class. One guy, even tried to challenge Alex for the seat but was severely beaten down by his new techniques and the added refinement in dodging attacks.
Something to note is that the top 10 seat holders can only be challenged by people from the special and class and not other normal classes. So unlike other students of this class, who face one challenge a day regularly.
The top 10 people are actually quite free. Robin was also able to successfully get the fifth seat in the special class and Hinata tried multiple times but the guy with shield and spear was her natural nemesis.
She just couldn't effectively go through his defence and he had grown even stronger since with new techniques. Guess, he wanted revenge from Alex for last time.
Currently, Alex was at 1st place, Alice at 2nd, Robin at 3rd, Liam Fox at 4th and Ye Lian at 5th place. All of them had secured themselves as the strongest of the year. Hinata was at 6th place actually but she could beat Liam and was unwilling to compete with her friends. So she was going to stay at that place for a while.
"Ah, the rest of the participants are here". The teacher smiled as he welcomed Alex's party into the class.
"Good morning teacher". Alex and the others greeted back as they stood beside Liam in front of the teacher.
Hinata just stood beside Alex without intending to go back to her seat. She didn't want to feel left out of the group.
"The inter-school competition will begin in the afternoon and the whole class will be going there to watch. The top 5 will participate in the tournament whole the rest of the class is there to take notes and watch". The teacher announced.
Then he carefully instructed the 5 in front of him except Hinata, who was just there. He explained some rules of the match and so on.
There was also a group fight against the other school, which didn't really change the position of the school but it was a competition in which seven people participate.
Ao Hinata will be able to participate in this competition with them. Hinata had a wide smile on her face after she heard of this news.
The rules were relatively simple. You cannot kill an opponent, a bit of a serious injury was okay as it could be recovered by the healers. Stepping out of the ring or fainting was considered a loss as well.
Rest of the small rules weren't anything important as no one really cared about them but the teacher told them anyway as it was his duty.
"Okay class, follow along. We will be going to the vehicles and attend the competition". The teacher clapped his hands and led Alex and the others out of the class.
They formed a line behind him and started walking towards the parking lot to get on the school vehicle that was only used for official reasons.
They were making plans for the team match as they continued on their way to the vehicle. "Liam and I will be at the front while Robin, Ye Lian and Hinata will take any chance from the side to inflict damage. Alice will control the flow with her guns and Orion, you will come to support anyone in trouble".
Alex planned and instructed everyone. All of them listened attentively and nodded to confirm that they understood clearly.
Soon they reached the bus and boarded one by one. It was quite spacious as there were three seats in The middle with the side walk empty for passage.
Hinata and Alice sat beside Alex as Ye Lian and Robin sat on the seats in front of Alex. The chairs were like those in a train, where six people could face each other.
"Can I sit here?" Orion asked as he saw an empty seat beside Ye Lian as she was sitting in the middle seat.
"No!" Alex denied without even thinking about it. He was okay being friends and all but he wouldn't let him sit so close to his girl, no way.
"Okay". Orion said dejectedly as he went to look for another seat, probably near Michael as that was the only other friend that he had.
They all chatted at as they talked about all kinds of things going on. The girls talked about the gifts that Alex gave them happily.
Robin on the side had a small smile as she read the book, Alex gave her and quipped in between when she felt like it.
The atmosphere was harmonious as they just enjoyed the talk and waited to reach their destination.
It took about an hour after various checks and confirmations to reach the stadium. The bus drove straight in without stopping into the stadium.
The stadium was big and only made for the true elites of today's society. Only powerful evolvers/fighters or officials could attend this event in the base city.
It was a form of entertainment and a way of making connections with the future generation for them. So they take this opportunity quite importantly.
They can have some of these children join their faction and gain geniuses that could be pillars of society and also help their organisation in the future.
Everything done is for gaining higher benefits and trying to see what their competitors have gained from this event.
The stadium had private rooms for watching the matches between the students. Everyday, matches were held here for Primary, Middle and High school.
Alex got off the bus along with the girls and looked around the stadium as they entered the venue. There was a contestants area, where their school name was written.
So they took their seats and got comfortable to wait for the competition to begin.
