Chapter 140: Solo

  The two faces on the hologram screen near Sensei made Tess's heart turn. They had the same brown eyes as Allan, the Syb-victim she met the day before. She didn't like that he was so much on her mind along with Petra and Jeremy. What if that meant he was dead too?

Allan had one glove that could summon a sword to cut through anything, but it didn't put her mind to rest about him. She had good intentions when she gave him the glove, but what would he be able to do with it? He wouldn't be able to lift the sword. The lie she told Lanse about giving it to him to aid in his suicide, sounded true. Indeed, being a good girl was hard. 

Sensei's voice cut through the buzz in her head.
