Chapter 149: Monster spark

After hearing the scream in Tess's voice, her teammates didn't run full speed towards the cavern it came from. They stopped and summoned their swords. The echo faded through their twitching ears.

"Did Tess yell to watch out for the Elites?" Zack gasped in terror. 

Szedra's stomach growled in the silence. They didn't need any other sign that bad things were about to happen. She felt her pouch to reassure them she still had the fragment, but then hated the fact. 

Lanse gritted his teeth. That was one of those times he wished their assumption was wrong. His mind had long forgotten about the Elites the closer he got to Tess. They were about to bump right into them but thank goodness for Tess's loudmouth. 

"Let's get this over with." Lanse went full speed towards the cavern. 

Zino could outrun him but kept at his side.
