Chapter 3: 3. Black Syringe
The masked man approached the table with a sinister look in his eyes. As the masked man got closer Oliver said,"Master that syringe is dangerous, you might regain your original appearance or you might turn into a demon". When Leo heard this he started trying to break through the restraints. The masked man saw this and laughed,"This is payback for blowing my hand off and those restraints are made to hold back King-Level warriors". Star explained,"Master you are currently the lowest rank of serf-Level". The masked man continued his approach despite Leo's best effort to break free. The masked man hit a button on the side of the table and it began to stand up. After the table stood up the masked man disappeared. A little while later there was a sharp stabbing pain in Leo's back. When Leo saw the masked man again the white room began to sound an alarm.

The alarms continued to sound for many minutes, so long that Leo forgot when they started. Suddenly he felt his body surge with strength followed by Oliver saying,"Congratulations Master you have managed to retain your sanity, regain most of your original appearance, and broke through to mid-serf level". After Oliver finished speaking the restraints released and Leo fell from the table. When he hit the ground he was astounded by the fact that his hair had suddenly grown to around waist length and then turned from black to brown, Leo's original hair color, and then it turned silver. After this he felt an extreme pain in his back between his shoulders. After the pain stopped he looked up and noticed that he was completely surrounded by a bunch of warriors.
They weren't quite what Leo was expecting, in that they didn't look like they fought a lot. The looked more like well trained soldiers over people with actual combat experience. As he stood up one of the warriors drew their weapon and said,"Stop Demon". Leo was confused by the warrior's words said,"Demon", and asked,"You talking about me"? The warrior immediately took a step back and as he did so the rest of the circle.
The masked man then made his way through the crowd and announced,"Congratulations Subject 984908 you are the first to survive the experiment. We will now commence Super Human Trial 1 in accordance with Earth Union Code. The first trial is to determine the maximum healing potential of your body". With that he motioned to the warriors and they held Leo down and proceeded to cut off one of his fingers. Everyone was surprised when the warrior's knife broke instead of cutting Leo's finger. This was when one of the warriors stepped forward and dropped his Knight-Rank Claymore on Leo's right wrist. As the claymore fell it cleanly severed Leo's wrist and buried itself into the floor. As Leo's wrist began to bleed, it stopped bleeding and then a new hand began to regrow from the stump. Soon he had a new hand and the masked man noted that the regeneration process of a simple structure took 15 minutes as a baseline. The same warrior picked up his claymore and lopped of Leo's right wrist again. The masked man made note that there was not a significant decrease in the amount of time. This trial continued for many days until Leo was able to regenerate grey matter in less than an hour.
