Chapter 3: Are you okay?
Danny celebrated wildly after that victory and stood up from his chair all while throwing his headphone down, producing a loud thud sound that shook the table. Joseph recoiled away from Danny in shock due to the sudden celebration, in doing so, he accidentally knocked onto the curious onlooker. She was astonished and slipped backwards but managed to get a grip from a arm that extended out extremely quickly. "Are you okay?" Joseph asked. She replied : "Yes, I'm fine". She quickly got a hold of herself and introduced herself. "I'm Sera, sorry for standing behind you like that." Josephs' eyes widened in shock for a spilt second, losing his calm temperament. He snapped back to reality and regained control of his emotions that almost ran rampant and continued coldly : "So what are you doing behind me?".
"Isn't this where you introduce yourself? and offer me some words to apologize?". Danny watched the scene unfold as Sera grew flustered by the sharp tone that Joseph replied with. "I do not talk to people who invade my personal space." The onlookers and Danny were confused and thought that he might actually be mentally ill at this point. "You are an attention seeker, choosing to interfere others with your beauty, which I assume is your only redeeming point as a woman" The atmosphere grew cold, the onlookers realized that he might not be alright and went right back to gaming.
Sera felt very insulted and is visibly fuming from his words. "Alright alright, we still have a few more rounds to go in game , please excuse my friend's behavior." Danny quickly diffused the flames and put his headphone back on. Joseph followed suit and continued on with the game.
Danny felt odd about this whole encounter, normally he would probe more but the round is about to start and they have to setup tactically. They played together for a total of 6 rounds afterwards , in 'All Fight', the first to 5 rounds win in a 5v5 setting. They of course got destroyed due to the inexperience of Joseph and also despite the show of mechanics he displayed earlier, Joseph could not replicate that moment again. Danny left a positive impression on Joseph at this time, despite losing his temper several times, he never got furious at Joseph who was his friend.
"She might have accidentally stood there." Danny remarked after their gaming session, "Plus, she was insanely hot don't you think so?" An array of questions came barging down upon Joseph like raining bullets. "She is the Iron Queen." Joseph replied with eyes that tell of hatred. Danny stared at Joseph with curiosity before asking "From the hottest FPS game 5 years ago, Strike Two?" Danny questioned , with a face of disbelief.
"She dominated the entire FPS scene along with her duo partner Dark Knight, they both became legends that will be remembered forever." Danny added, Joseph could only nod his head to his answer.
