Chapter 160: Taking Off

"Alexis, what's the rush that you want to leave for Celine so soon?" Melissa asked with a voice that hinted of sadness.

Alexis was packing her belongings in several suitcases because she was moving to Celine tomorrow. And she answered while folding a t-shirt, "Mom, I have to leave for Celine sooner or later. And I want to join the base as soon as I am settled in the Blaze mansion. They have already planned so many missions for me and I don't want to disappoint them, especially the Colonel."

Melissa's lips curved downwards because it didn't look like she could do anything to stop Alexis from leaving. 

Alexis's gaze fell on her sad mother and she drooped her shoulders, defeated by that expression. She sat beside her mother on the bed and tried to cheer her up. "Mom, it's not like Celine is that far. I mean it is far but you and dad can always come and visit me there."
