Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Stalling Time!!!
It's almost three months after Luffy met
Ace.Rin have been doing quest, practicing her Bo staff and collecting money. She have almost enough money to buy a paramecia type devil fruit but not a logia type devil fruit that she wanted... so she's going with plan B, ambushing and stalling time.
It's early in the morning, Rin packed the snacks that she prepared last night and goes to Mt. Corvo. She gives the snacks to one of the bandits and waited outside behind a tree with her Bo staff for Ace and Luffy to get out. When the two boys get out Rin start following Luffy from an appropriate distant to make sure Ace didn't see her. She have been doing the same thing for the past few days.
"Status." Rin whispered so Luffy didn't hear her.

' My status increased... probably because I've been following Luffy to the mountain... it was just yesterday that I got attacked by a boar, fighting it was a pain '
After checking her status she went back to looking out for Luffy.
= Few Minutes Later =
Luffy failed chasing after Ace and goes back to Dadan's shack.
' Another failure huh... ' Rin confirmed that today isn't the day Luffy arrive at Gray Terminal and goes back to the bar.
"Makino I'm back!!" said Rin while entering the bar.
"Welcome back! . . . Rin where have been going this few days?"
"Um... collecting some herbs as usual... " . . . ' I can't tell her the truth... '
*sigh* "Do you really have to?"
"...I don't have to but I want to..."
"... Fine just eat your lunch."
'phew...' . . . "Thanks for the food Makino!!"
= The Next Day =
Rin did the same thing as yesterday,woke up early, make snacks, packed the snacks, give it to the bandits and follow Luffy.
= Few Minutes Later =
"It's the end of the forest!!" Luffy said as he ran towards the end of the forest. "What is this place?"
"!!" hearing Luffy words Rin thought ' So it's today huh... I better keep an eye on him then... my clothing will make me suspicious... ' Rin ruffle her hair, put her jacket in the inventory system, change her shoes with cheap sandals and hide her Bo staff under her shirt. After she finished changing her looks she followed Luffy as close as possible.
A while later Luffy saw Ace went into the forest in between Mt. Corvo and Gray Terminal and followed him. Luffy see Ace up on a tree and heard Ace and Sabo's conversation. He screamed causing Ace and Sabo to be aware of his presence. Ace and Sabo went down the tree, hit Luffy's head and tie him up. Ace and Sabo talked a little then Ace said something.
"We gotta kill him."
"Alright let's do it." Sabo agrees.
"PFFT-!!" Hearing Luffy's future brothers says they wanted to kill him makes Rin wanna laugh.
Hearing a sound Ace turn around and ask "Who's ther-"
"WHAT!?!?" Luffy screamed. He then start begging to not kill him.
Ace and Sabo panicked by his screamed.
A little later Sabo heard someone's coming. Ace untie Luffy and hide behind some bushes. Hearing this Rin hides herself deeper into the forest.The Bluejam crew member came and take Luffy away. Ace and Sabo go and climb the tree to moves their treasures.
' Welp that's my cue... it's already evening and Luffy will be saved by sunset... I'm guessing a little more than an hour... ' Rin thinks as she follows Porchemy (Bluejam crew member).
When she arrives at where Luffy were captured at she stay a little farther and wait for the right moment. She can't win against a strong pirate and if Luffy isn't injured at all Ace won't acknowledge Luffy...
' I'll wait till the third punch... '
*BAM!!!*
' First one is a hammer, it won't even tickle Luffy. '
*POW!*

.
"It Hurts!!! I'm Scared!!! Help Me!!!" Screamed Luffy
' I'm sorry Luffy... ' Rin said in her mind while closing her eyes shut.
*POW!!!*
On the second punch some thugs get out of the place to search for Ace and Sabo.
' Argh!! I can't just wait for the third punch!!! ' Rin thought as she rush into the place after unfolding her Bo staff.
"Stop right there!!"
"!!" Porchemy turns around and see Rin "What do you want kid!!"
Rin pointed her Bo staff at Luffy and said "Let that boy go!!". . .' Dang it!! This is scarier than I thought. '
Luffy look towards Rin and screamed "RIN!!!"
"You're that brat's friend, that means you must know Ace too." said Porchemy while walking towards Rin.
Rin look at Porchemy and said "So what if I do?"
Without warning Porchemy lunch towards Rin. Rin takes a step back and turn her body to the side to dodge it. Porchemy turns his feet so he could once again lunch himself towards Rin. Seeing that she cannot dodge, Rin use her Bo staff to hit the wall on her side to push herself away from him.
' I need to dodge as much as possible. One hit from those spiky glove could give me major injuries. '
"You should stop dodging! It'll be less painful!!" yelled Porchemy.
"Only crazy people would stop dodging!!" Rin said while dodging.
"If you're not gonna fight just die!!"
"Sorry not interested! I'm here to save that idiot over there."
= One Hour Later =
"huff.. huff.." Rin gasping for air.
"You look tired kid, just give up and DIE!!"
"huff.. Die? huff.. Sorry but like I said... not interested." Rin said with a smirk. ' It's almost sunset... just a little more... '
"Rin!! Run!! You can't fight anymore!!" yelled Luffy.
"Sorry.. huff... but I'm.. huff... staying."
Once again Porchemy tried to punch Rin while lunching at her. Rin tried to dodge but miss her step and fell. Porchemy's punch hit Rin's left shoulder.
"UGH!!!" screamed Rin.
"RIN!!" yelled Luffy.
"... I'm okay Luffy..." said Rin while holding her bleeding shoulder.
"You're dead meat now." Porchemy said while picking up Rin.
Rin tried to resist but got thrown across the room before she could fight back.
*BAM*
*cough* *cough* "Damn it!!"
Porchemy takes off his gloves and pick up his sword.
Rin tried stands up despite the pain she's feeling but she couldn't pick up her legs. 'Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! I need an idea!!'
*BASH*
The wall suddenly broke down. Appearing from the crashed wall is Ace and Sabo.
Upon seeing them Rin smiled to herself and whisper "They're late..."
