Chapter 40: Chapter 40: Who?
=Few Days Later=
Somewhere at the sea in North Blue,
"Hey, system..." Rin said.
[Yes?]
"I really want a crew..." Rin said.
[Then get one.]
"I can't." Rin answered.
[And why can't you?]
Rin sighed. "Because except for the characters that Luffy trust in the anime, I can't trust anyone. This is a world where you can't just trust anyone." Rin said frustratedly.
[Then why did you said you want a crew?]
Rin look at the screen floating besides her. "I was just complaining to you." Rin sighed. "I use to complains like this to my little sister but right now she's not here." She quietly mumbles.
[What did you just said?]
"No, nevermind. Forget what I said. I'm going to sleep." Rin said.
[Wait! You need to set the course of the ship first!!]
"What for? I don't have anywhere I want to go right now... drifting away on the sea isn't bad once in a while." Rin said.
[But you might head straight into a storm! No, that might be better than accidentally sailing into the calm belt!!!]
"Geez... you worry too much. It'll be fine." Rin said.
[How would you know that?!]
Rin shrugged and went inside her room.
[Seriously...]
=Few Hours Later=
Rin yawned after waking up and went outside her room.
She looks at the sky, smile and said "See, everything's fine."
[...]
"Oh, and there's an island nearby. I'm gonna go take a look. You don't mind, right?" Rin asked.
[Suit yourself...]
Rin chuckled before turning the ship towards the island. She dropped anchor and hop onto the island.
"Seems like an uninhabited island..." Rin said while looking around.
[What do you want to do here?]
"Hmm... I'm just gonna walk around the island to see if there's anybody here." Rin said before going into the forest.
[I beg you, please be careful...]
"Yeah, I know." Rin said.
=Hours Later=
"There's nothing. Not even a wild animal" Rin said. "Hmm..."
[What are you thinking?]
"You know... I haven't been able to focus on any Haki training and I got a lot of time... so... I was wondering if I should start my Haki training on this island." Rin said.
[But you don't even know how to awaken your Haki so how exactly are you going to do that.]
"You'll help me, of course!" Rin said excitedly.
[... Fine...]
At first, she tried to follow Rayleigh's Haki training methods but she realized it doesn't work for people who hasn't awaken their Haki yet, so she tried everything she can think of to awaken her Haki. She tried to get through an obstacle course that she make using her devil fruit ability while blindfolded, she tried to punch some small trees until it breaks, she even tried to scare fishes just by staring at it in a distant.
=Weeks Later=
Early in the morning.
Rin woke up and gets down from the treehouse that she make using her power. She purposely make it look like the treehouse Ace, Sabo and Luffy made. She went to the shore to train.
Rin yawned and said "Hey system, open my statu-"
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" suddenly a scream could be heard from a person that is falling from the sky.
*THUD!!!* the person fells on the sand which causes the sand to flys around and block Rin's view.
'Jumanji 2?!' Rin thought. 'Wait, no. This is One Piece not Jumanji.' She re-thinks.
"System, I just saw a person fell, right?" Rin whispered.
[Unfortunately, yes.]
Rin took a deep breath and calm herself down.
"H-hello?" Rin stuttered.
"Ow..."
'That thing's alive!!! How?! It just fell from sky!!!' Rin thought.
Rin took another deep breath and ask "A-are you okay?" She still can't see the full figure of that person because of the sand flying around.
"Huh? Who's there?!" said the mysterious person.
'Wait...' Rin thought.
The sand flying around finally went down and the appearance of the mysterious person is getting clearer.
"A... Akiko?!?!" Rin screamed with shock.
"Mori... na...?" said the mysterious person.
