Chapter 179: I love you

"I never wanted to keep any secrets from you. I will always be an open book to you, my dear moon. I... I love you."

Esme's body jolted. She could feel the warmth in her hand fading. Aleister's hand was slipping from hers. 

"Don't hate me again. It took me so long to make you love me," his words sounded lower than a whisper.

I will hate you. I will hate you all over again if you ever leave me alone. And I will hate myself more if I hated you. 

You are more of me than myself. 

Her tears rolled down and Esme struggled to open her eyes but she was stuck in the memories he showed to her. Aleister could not use his powers because Marilyn had placed a curse on him when he was in his mother's womb. He would never be able to use his powers if she was nearby.

Esme was stunned by Marilyn's revelations but at one point, the woman's words stopped registering in her mind.
