Mr. Meyer had just backed up from the stall after closing the stone cellar door on the surface. He saw the situation outside and frowned.
There was a giant metallic object about a mile away.
The shiny silver object was waiting for the last bit of the electromagnetic barrier to vanish. Mr. Meyer's team was surrounding a man with long black hair while gathering their weapons; a layer of metallic-looking bows was aimed at the incoming craft.
Beyond the barrier, large metallic personnel carriers were arriving alongside a few more of the metal crafts that looked like an upside-down soup bowl.
"Leave this to me. Take the prisoner with you," said Mr. Meyer referring to the black-haired man. Mr. Meyer's eyes were piercing the black-haired man's figure; a frightening calm was visible. "Report immediately. They need to know," said Mr. Meyer while unsheathing a large metallic sword from behind his back, the sword looked like a medieval sword similar to those knights used during the old wars; a series of runes could be clearly seen on it.
"But sir…" Said the young woman that was holding down the head of the black-haired man.
"It's an order" Mr. Meyer's expression was unmoving.
The young woman hesitated for a second; suddenly, resolution filled her face. She stood up, and with a strong move, pulled the black-haired man with her. "Let's go, everyone, to the escape routes" said the woman. Her sweet complexion was altered, and a fierce look filled her eyes. "Jordan, take the prisoner to the kitchen with me. Everyone else goes to the designated escape routes."
Mr. Meyer was looking stern while the rest of his crew started to retire; he knew that this day might come. What he didn't know was that the person coordinating the attack was well aware of his predicament.
A tall woman dressed in red and dark blue uniform was standing in the ship; she was looking at a large screen, her eyes were fixed on Mr. Meyer.
"Captain, we have visual on the target," seriously stated a young man while looking at a holographic representation of the field.
"Get me to that man," stated the tall woman.
The young man nodded and followed by issuing a series of commands to the remaining personnel. The cabin was packed with around 30 people dressed in matching red and blue uniforms.
"I finally got you," thought the tall woman to herself while still fixated on the monitor showing Mr. Meyer.
On the field, the small crew under Mr. Meyer's command rapidly moved towards paddocks behind the main house. A few seconds later, a loud sound was heard. Most of the team had escaped.
Inside the main house the young woman looked thru the window towards the field. A group of 10 people was surrounding Mr. Meyer while still standing on the same spot she left him.
"May the divine providence guide you," silently said the young woman; she then cut her hand with a sharp knife. Her right hand started bleeding while her left hand was holding the captured spy.
"Solum irus vacan nor Slirak tum," said the woman with a mechanized voice. If no one had seen it, it would be hard to believe that this young woman was the one muttering the incantation.
Suddenly a series of symbols surrounded the three of them. A moment later, they were gone.
Mr. Meyer had thrown his sword on the floor and kneeled on the field with his hands behind his head. He was suddenly surrounded and held at gunpoint. In front of him, the large silver ship was slowly hovering. The buzzing continued, and a door at the bottom of the vessel slowly opened.
Out of the door came a platform; it looked fragile, almost as a thin aluminum foil sheet. The incredibly slim platform touched ground only about 15 feet in front of Mr. Meyer. Out of the ship's opening came two figures and rapidly assumed guarding positions at each side of the platform. They were dressed in similar uniforms to the rest of the people surrounding Mr. Meyer but these ones were more decorated, apparently made with a heavier material and matched with a chest piece and helmet.
Behind them came two more figures, one of them was clearly a woman. Her tall figure looked imposing against the light emitted from the inside of the ship. Her long steps seemed perfect; it was as if the whole world would have stopped just to let her walk down the platform.
Mr. Meyer immediately recognized the woman. A sinking feeling filled his stomach. "HER?! This is the least I needed." Mr. Meyer had his eyes fixed on the woman when he suddenly caught sight of the other being on the platform behind her.
There was a smaller humanoid figure behind the woman, and as it came out of the ship, more of its shape was evident. An elongated snout with a few uneven teeth framed a face with large reptilian eyes. The humanoid creature walked with his back slightly hunched, a long white robe covered its body, its face had a set of heavy scales around the mouth and over the eyes. Many small thorn-like protrusions covered what could be described as the eyebrow. Two red stripes were visible at each side of its face, and on each side of his lower jaw hanged a scaled protuberance of skin with a few more thorn-shaped scales and two large black circular shapes.
He tried to disguise his surprise, but the creature caught his view, a small smile crept his toothy maw, but it disappeared as fast as it showed.
"You can be hard to locate," said the woman with an iced tone.
"And you certainly have a weird taste for companions," said Mr. Meyer with his deep voice while looking at the scaled creature at her side.
"I've had worse," said the woman with a faked smile. "Where is the child?" It seemed like she didn't want to extend the conversation.
"Obviously not here," said Mr. Meyer with a smile.
"Theeere is no tiiime for thissss," hissed the reptilian next to the woman. "Zaaaamiiira bring your friiiiiiend to the sssssship, we neeeeed to fiiiind the child" then it turned around and walked back to the ship.
