Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3

'You look ravishing in this dress Lisa,' Mrs. Guerra smiled.

'Thank you Mrs. Guerra.', I smiled back at her. I opened the front the door and saw a black limo was waiting for me there.

'Ms. Jordan', the driver opened the car's door. I got in. I was very nervous, scared. I didn't know who invited me and why does he want from me.

'I mean what's the point I'm just a mere writer', I said to myself. I was anxious, I keep tapping my feet on the car floor. I took out my phone from the purse and saw that there were so many texts from my secretary and my friends. I could feel the droplets of sweat creating on my forehead, I was feeling a strange thing in my stomach.

'Is this indigestion, oh no do I need to go to washroom', I panicked.

'Wtf is happening to me!! Alyssa stay calm don't let the anxiety take over, you got this", I clam myself down, 'how many turn, just stop already' I murmured. I took out couple of tissues out of the tissue box and wiped the sweat.

'Ms. Jordan we are almost there,' the driver said.

'Okay'.

I picked up the masque which was lying beside me and put it on. I saw a bottle of water on the car seat, I took it and gulped it down. I heaved a sighed, prepared myself to face whoever the fuck he was.

'Ms. Jordan we here', he got out of the car and opened the car door for me.

I got out of the car and I saw awestruck by the view, I was felling I was invited to a 18th century ball party. My heart was beating like it can burst any moment. I felt butterflies in my stomach, I write fiction stories, princess, royalty and these kind of theme of ball was very familiar to me but only in my mind , I never saw or felt anything like this before. I stood at the entrance admiring the view. I slowly stepped inside, the carpet was covered with rose petals, I was feeling like if I have entered in one of my story. Everyone were wearing masques and ravishing outfits like royals. I giggling inside like a little girl, it was my dream to attend a ball feeling like princess, I was very happy, I never felt like this in a while. I calm myself down , put a hand on my chest and took deep breaths. I walked inside. It was a big mansion, walls were graced with paintings of great artists of all the times. I was like a lost little girl, admiring the view .The way I was walking on it lead me to a big door, I knocked, the door man opened it for me. I stood there on the balcony watching everyone from there, everyone seemed so small from up there. I was looking at them and they were staring at me. I was feeling kind of awkward though.

I strolled downed from the stairs, everyone went again on chatting. I was at ease but then again I remind myself that I have a important thing to do. Find out who sent me all these. I could feel men lurking around me. I made my way towards a table and sat there called a serving boy and picked up a glass of white wine, I was so stressed and restless that I chugged down 4 or 5 glasses of wine. I needed some fresh air so I went to the balcony. I knew that I was in danger and I have a very low alcohol tolerance.

'I'm feeling nervous again, calm down,' I was sighing continuously and was trying to make myself understand.

I flopped on one of the chairs. I suddenly felt liked someone is pulling dress from behind, I turned around and saw a cute little girl was pulling my dress and looking at me.

'What happened?', I stood up from the chair and kneeled down front of her holding her hands.

'What happened? you got lost?', I asked her.

She nodded her side by side indicating a answer which is a no. She took my hand and said, 'Come with me he is expecting you'. She pointed towards the door. 'Come!! fast.'

She dragged me towards the door.

'Hey where are we going? Who asked for me?', my mind was full of questions. In order to find the answers I cooperated with her. She took me to the garden. She left my hand and looked at me. I took off my masques and kneeled down before her.

'Who told you to bring me here?', I asked her. She smiled.

'He said you to stay here.' She ran away, tried to stop her but no success because I can't run in this dress that's why I didn't tried. I picked up the masques from the ground and started to look for that person. I roamed around the garden, it was partly dark at the side and partly enlightened. I saw a bench there beside the fountain , I sat there waiting for him. I was feeling scared, and more I was scared about the necklace.

'Did you wait long?'. A deep manly voice startled me. I turned around and stood up from the bench immediately.

'My apologies. It looks like Vienna did her job neatly'.
