Chapter 2: TWO.
IRIS'S POV.
So far, my life had been perfect. Elise had not been
around most of the time since he turned 18. He was busy learning the act of war, governance,economy, and what ever have you.
As an hier to the thrown of Amelot, he had a lot to learn. He followed my father traveling all year long. It Had began to get boring for me.
But I understood. He was king to be. I've always knew that he wouldn't be around all the time. But then,events took on a sudden turn. a turn that changed my entire life completely..........
(FATHERS CHAMBER)
FATHER : it can't be. How could He! After all the warning I had given him. How could he be careless enough to have slottered the traders from Maledoth!
MOTHER: calm down my king. He said he thought them spies. You cannot blame Marcel completely. He has served this kingdom faithfully for ages!
FATHER : Yet he shouldn't have made such a mistake! Now king Francis is waging a war against Amelot. What I'm I to do?
MOTHER : you must find a way to make peace with them. You know that Maledoth has a great army and are very powerful! You must do something my Lord!
And with that,I retreated to my chamber with a lot of things going on in my mind.
My 19th birthday was just a month away and I remember how my father had agreed to take me to the great monastery at Maledoth.
Maledoth was a six hour ride from Amelot and I'd be so excited to make that journey for I had heard great tails about the witch market 30 minutes from Maledoth and the enchanted flower garden that could grant wishes and had fairys living in it.
And now, old Marcel had to make the mistake of taking two traders from Maledoth for spies and slaying them in public!
I was more concerned about my poor old father and my darling brother than my shattered fantasy.
What is going to happen? Could it be,that father will be killed in this war and we will be taken as slaves to Maledoth?? Oh no!
