Chapter 23: Chapter 23 You're aborting that child
Luna saw the woman going and she had no option but to tell her about her pregnancy just maybe she would let her see him. "Miss please. I-Iam pregnant,"she said and Rebecca stood before slowly turning behind and looked at her. "And so?" she asked. "It's his. He's the father. Please let me see him," Luna pleaded again. On hearing this, she came closer to her and said," Say it again." Luna said," I'm carrying Graham's child. It's three weeks." Rebecca looked at her as she narrowed her eyes and finally said," You think you can fool me? A lowly person like you being pregnant with my son's child! We have seen those tricks already." "Please believe me I am not lying. We could have a DNA test for proof. He's the only man I've ever- "Stop right there. So you were there sitting and after knowing what has happened you thought he would die.You've decided to come lie to us that you're having his child so that you could have your share of the inheritance." Luna sobbed and said," I would never think of him like that. I love him so- "Don't. If you are wise, you should leave now before I put you behind bars for trespassing and trust me you can rot there." With that, Rebecca went back inside in search for Vikram.
Vikram was watching his buddy who was lying lifeless on the bed remembering all moments they shared when he heard a tap on his shoulder,"Follow me. We need to talk." And he followed her. When they reached the corridor she said,"There's a woman outside claiming to be pregnant with Graham's child. Do you know her?" Vikram's eyes widened in shock and he suspected who the woman could be and reaching outside his suspicions were right when he saw Luna sitting down on the balcony floor.
He came back to Rebecca and said," Yes Mrs. Cullen. I honestly think she's not lying. I saw her in Graham's Villa and she spent there a night. Graham was also going to meet her today after the match. He seemed serious about her." He decided to tell the truth. Rebecca realized that it may not have been a fling as she earlier thought. She asked,"Does Graham know about it?" He shook his head indicating a no then she said," Good. Go and tell her to wait for me there." Vikram went outside and helped Luna to get up and asked,"You were Miss?" "Luna Peyton is my name. Can you please take me to Graham just for a second?" Before he could say anything, Rebecca was back with a cheque book and a pen and asked Vikram to leave them alone. When he did she said, "I believe you Miss?" Luna felt happy that finally she was going to see him. "Luna. Luna Peyton," she replied enthusiastically. "Yes Luna. It might be his child but we both know that he would never accept it. Graham has a fiancee and we were already in their wedding preparations so immediately he wakes up the wedding is proceeding. Name any amount of money you want and I will give it to you. But you're aborting that child. He is never taking responsibility."
Luna's cheeks were stained with tears once again and she said,"I don't want any money and I would never abort my child. I only want to see him please. That is all I ask of you. I will leave after that I promise." Rebecca just signed a reasonable amount of money and threw the cheque on the floor not wasting her time on her. She went to Vikram and told him," Make sure she takes that cheque and aborts that child. But most importantly, don't tell anyone. It's only you and me who know about it and if I hear it anywhere else, you know what I'm capable of doing. And also tell her to keep her mouth shut if she still wants to live." After making sure she has left,
Vikram went to Luna and talked to her, " Miss Luna, let me tell you this. To Graham, you were not just anyone, you were special. It was not a one night stand. He couldn't stop thinking about you. He wanted to come to Sun City but I insisted on him first finishing the match. So we were coming to see you today. He had lots of things to tell you." Luna couldn't believe it. "R-really?" she asked. "Yes. Now listen, take that cheque and go. About the pregnancy do what you want. But as Graham's friend I would advise you not to abort it. But still, the decision is made by you after all it's your body. But you should leave and go back to Sun City. They will hunt and get you if you stay here and they'll make sure that you lose that baby or even your life, so leave. You will tell him yourself when he wakes up. If you're planning on keeping that child, you need that money for daily expenses. It's pretty much and it will help you a great deal."
Luna thought about his words and decided to take the cheque with her. She looked at him and said" Thank you for letting me know about this. But I would never abort my child. Can you take my number and inform me when he wakes up?" "I'm sorry Miss Luna but for safety purposes I'm afraid we can't communicate at all." Luna nodded and said," I understand. I will leave now. Thank you for everything Mr Vikram." Vikram knew what Rebecca Cullen was capable of so he didn't want to take any risks.
It really hurt Luna leaving without seeing him but she had to take his warning seriously because he knew them more than she did. She walked on the streets all cold and trembling. The rain had stopped but it was cold outside. She walked along the dark street all alone but all she could think of were the words Vikram told her. She was very happy. She promised herself to raise their child and wait for him whenever he will wake up. She entered the nearest motel she could find and removed the wet clothes then soaked herself in a warm bath to get some warmth.
