Standing silently in a readied position, she cautiously watched her surroundings as the worm's wall-like body wiggled about. It's beak blocking out a perfect triangle of the sun's rays, it stood atop the sand dune with a staggering height.

'Even if I could kill it from it's stomach, it's too long. It would probably take me too long to get to it...'

Camellia slowly bent down, making sure to make as little noise as possible she took off her half torn up shoe then carefully stood back up.

'It'll probably get impatient soon, I've gotta try something.'

'If it stays underground like that then it probably hates the sun, but here it is getting its back sunburnt just listening to the wind.

Though anyone would get annoyed being promised food only to fight for their life wouldn't you agree~?'

Throwing the shoe as far as she could to her right, she stood still ready to jump while waiting for the worm's reaction.

'Good, as soon as it hits the ground the worm should try and stab it, then I should have a bit of time to run, if not at least I figured something out.'

As the shoe slowly fell to the ground, she kept her sweat filled face pointed at the worm's beak while side-eying the shoe to know when it'll touch the ground.

'3... 2... 1-'

*BOOOSHHH*

In a split second, as soon as the shoe touched the ground, the worm's beak disappeared from in front of her. In the blink of an eye it had pierced exactly where the shoe had been, completely burrowing itself into the sand.

'Ha.... you've gotta be kidding me...'

*BOOSH BOOSH*

Having noticed the lack of prey, the worm's body started bashing crazily into the ground, rising high into the air like a skyscraper only to crash down, kicking up a sand storm in all directions.

'Not good! This was supposed to be a reward?!!'

'THAT'S WHY I FIXED THE HOUSE! This was the reward for the work!!!'

As the worm's body continued to flail about, the danger of the situation only grew more and more serious. The worm had been bashing it's wall-like body into the ground while slowly bringing it closer and closer to the center, trapping the lightly wounded Camellia in a cage of flesh.

As if she was hit by a stroke of genius she quickly got on one knee and put her hands on the ground below her.

As the worm's body got closer and closer to the center, the pink figure seemed to disappear. Her body being hidden from the sand being thrown in the air, while also having house sized walls of rampaging worm close in on her, it looked hopeless.

'MANIPULATE!'

As a large explosion of sand and small black flames ignited from the center of the walls, the worm quickly fled underground letting out an ear-piercing screech as a slim figure could be seen running away from the center holding... a pile of dirt?

***Wait, she's covered in mud!

'AHAHA!!! I ain't the Isekai-God for nothin' you fat worm!!!!'

***Amidst the sandstorm created by the worm, Camellia had managed to wet the sand at her feet, making her sink a few feet, she then dried the mud using a piece of thread from her clothes! After lighting the tread, the compacted sand's temperature raised waaayyy~ too quickly, causing it to explode!

'Libbo quick, tell me how to use Illusion flame! I don't got enough time or clothes to be making explosions like that!'

As the worm lifted itself from the sand once again, it seemed to scream out in agony and rage, before it started channeling in on the running loli.

Dropping to her knees, she quickly used a sleeve to dry the mud before plunging her hand through the now hardened and condensed sand.

*SCCREEE*

Hearing the small girl drop to the ground, the worm instantly started charging towards its target, disappearing like a flash only to-

-Only to be blown back by a sudden explosion of flames and sand! It was smaller compared to the last time, but it contained more flames that lightly burned its face as it flailed about in the air above her.

"*cough cough*"

'Damn, I have to be more careful next time, that explosion is no joke.'

Continuing on with this trend for a decent amount of time, she was left with cuts and scratches covering her face from the explosion's recoil along with a mere swimsuit's worth of clothes left, leaving her stomach exposed, full of cuts and scratches and small fluttering fabric hanging from her shoulder.

As her eyes shot open, a glint of black flame could be seen in their reflection. It seemed to turn her elegant brownish-pink eyes black and purple. As everything around her seemed to be consumed in black flames. It was all she could see, all she could feel.

'It... feels so real? It's not hot or anything, just warm... it feels comforting.'

As the worm raised from the sand once again, it's anger could be seen growing as it looked down on a small sea of flames. Feeling the overpowering heat even from where it stood.

To Camellia, the flames felt warm and comforting, as if it were simply surrounding her in a caring embrace. However, to the worm it was truly a flame capable of torching the 'un-burnable wood' to ashes. The scorching heat of the desert sun felt like a refreshing bowl of ice cream compared to the lava-like hell-scape that was the pitch-black, devoid of light demon's flame that protected his thought to be 'prey.'

Understanding the situation, Camellia quickly tried to imagine as if the flames were jumping at the worm. Just as she imaged, the flames leapt towards it like a blanket of fire, forcing the worm to hide once again in the sand, only to visibly escape, running away from the volcano of death's wrath.

"Heh! HAHA!!"

'I'M INVINCIBLE YOU HEAR?!!? I'm absolutely invinc-'

"Eh?"

Falling onto her back, she limply laid in place staring at the clear sky.

'Where'd the flames go?'
