Chapter 12: Stupid Host-System duo

"Your chosen one is going to be a mother. Congratulations Master!" Beth's overly sarcastic voice sounded like he was really happy for everyone, for the woman, for his master, for the wolf tribe leader and yes for himself because he was enjoying every moment.

Silence was the only response he got from Damian who was turning his back to Beth.

"Yoo hooo…master?!" Beth was seriously itching to tease him but getting no response was such a turn off. Round he went and stood before his master only to fly into rage realizing the situation.

"He is gone." Beth laughed as he gritted his teeth. "And he just promised me that he won't interfere."

"Strip." The domineering voice of the fox tribe leader filled the chamber. It looked like a princess chamber but that was to be expected since she was the leader of such a powerful beast man clan.

Seeing the figure before her unmoving she commanded once again, "Strip or do I have to do that myself?"

'I would love to strip myself but the situation and place doesn't seem too convenient.' Max thought inside his head as he looked at seductive fox woman in front of him. He had not forgot their true mission. Still the captive was unmoving.

"Are you disobeying me, the Leader of mightiest fox clan in the world?" She stood up her aura even dangerous than before.

"Now this is a problem." Max mumbled as he watched her advancing towards him.

<But you look excited Host.> the system rolled its eye as it heard the contradictory statement of its host.

"I will never trouble our lovely leader." He maintained his composure as he stepped towards the fox leader wiping the heavy makeup revealing a charming face.

"You...." are not a female. That was what she was going to say but her mouth was completely blocked by his hand who dashed towards her not letting her complete her words. Seeing the zooming face, even she was flustered and lost her cool which was enough for him to take control.

"Shhhh!" He whispered in her ears making them flinch. In his heart he thanked his flirty womanizer friend. Without wanting he had already mastered the art of flirting.

Meanwhile Mina was struggling to free herself from the clutches of the wolf. "The name is Ray." The wolf beast man spoke as he looked at the woman trying to break free.

"Ray or what not, let me go this instant." Mina huffed and puffed her cheeks turning red with embarrassment, anger or heat it was unknown but yes, she looked even more attractive.

"You stupid wolf, did you forget there is a war going on and your tribesman are dying??" Mina tried to divert his attention but he was only focused on her.

"Fuzzy, this man is a beast." Mina meant he was wild and untamed.

[Host you are correct. He is a beast man.] Although the host was captive since there was no malicious intent from the wolf, it had stayed quiet. In fact it was enjoying the scene before it.

Mina who was hoping to hear something assuring or even a word of sympathy: "........"

[What??]

"Lightning strike" Mina shouted loudly as a large lightning ball fell on the wolf who was totally not expecting this.

A burnt smell filled the room.

[Lightning strike used.]

For the first time she was glad of the title Roast master.

Mina jumped away from the wolf as fast as she could.

The wolf had sensed danger so he had covered his body in shield but it was still penetrated by the lightning. He gnarled his fangs as his eyes took another dangerous change.

The system which has been enjoying the scene suddenly sensed the enmity coming from the beast man in front of them.

[Host careful. He is dangerous at the moment.]

"He had been dangerous from the beginning." Mina felt explicably irritated with the system. It had a lot to learn.

"A female not only dared to disobey me but even had the courage to hurt me." He looked at his scorched arm. Sensing the danger Mina immediately took a fighting stance as she prepared for the fight.

[Host what's with that stance?]

[You use bow and arrow remember??] Now it was the turn of system to look at the host with helplessness.

'Oh, right.' Mina felt a little ashamed as she remembered her weapon. She summoned them and they appeared as soon as she summoned them. She placed the arrow holder on her shoulder and pointed one of them at the man before her. It was probably best to call him wolf as he was slowly covering his body with wolf fur.

"Getting a rebellious prey once in a while is not bad." The wolf was confident in its power and superiority.

"Attack first, I am giving you a handicap." The beast man stood there calmly with his hands folded. Honestly, it made him look even more domineering.

"Forget about that. I have even a better suggestion. Want to hear me, Ray?" Mina kept her bow down when she spoke with him.

"Oh you do?" Ray looked amused. This woman was getting more interesting,

[You do????] Forget about the wolf even the system was surprised. 'Intelligence and strategy is my fortitude and even I don't have a better solution so how could host come with a better plan?'

Mina twitched her eyebrow at the remarks Fuzzy was making inside her head.

"Watch and see how professional strategist handle things."

"You know I have come here for something, right?"

The wolf nodded in acknowledgement. "And you want something from me."

'It's not something, I want all of you.' He thought as he nodded to her words.

"Then let's make a bet."

"What bet?"

[Yes what bet??]

Two questions were thrown at her at once. "If I win the match, you have to promise to do something as long as I ask it."

"And if I win??" The wolf eyed her suspiciously.

"I am all yours." Mina calmly said as if she was bargaining for vegetable in night markets.

"Ha ha ha ha…very well. I was not expecting this. Interesting, very interesting." Ray laughed as he wiped his eye. Ever since the war had started he hadn't been able to relax himself but today he was having fun even with the female standing six feet away from him.

This happiness and feeling of content was even more satisfactory than the pleasures of flesh and war.

He could easily sense the state and emotion of anyone and he knew the female was actually trembling under that cool composure.

"So what is the match?"

"To make it fair we will both decide 1-1 match each and one by a lucky draw so who wins two games out of three is the winner." Mina explained.

'Please say yes, fall for it.' Mina sent barrage of prayers to the god.

"Ok."

"Huh??" Mina couldn't believe her ears. He actually agreed to her. She really wished she was not hearing things.

"I don't like to repeat myself." He went back to his human form as he sat on a chair.

After thinking a while she said, "I want to have a chess match with you." Mina was totally confident in her skill so she was sure to win the first round.

"Sure."

Within five minutes she was completely destroyed by the wolf. "Looks like I won." He smirked happily looking at the dejected Mina. He felt happier winning the match than when he had his coronation.

Even with the help of system she was a total noob in front of him.

"The second match, what do you want?" Mina was not the type to back down after a failure. She had 30 years of experience as an independent woman.

"Let's have a eating contest." The wolf smiled at Mina.

Afraid he will change his mind she immediately agreed. Her body had been upgraded but she still needed food and she hadn't eaten for around two days. She suddenly felt hungry when she remembered her stomach was hungry.

Foods of all kind were served on the table which was aromatic and appealing. As soon as the bell rang Mina dived straight into the food eating whatever came to her sight. She was a foodie who never wasted good food and on top of it she was hungry to death. Her body needed more energy than before so she realized eating food was even better.

When the bell rang indicating the time was up Mina finally looked at the other competitor aka the wolf who had a smiling face.

It was empty. Yes it was totally empty. All the food was gone and not even a crumb was left behind. All the plates were empty. The chefs looked at the empty table from where the food enough for their all soldier for a day had disappeared within an hour.
