Deidara was grinning from the side, and he was just as excited. Kisame frowned at Obito and said harshly, "Shut up, new boy!"
Itachi ignored them, looking at Pain, and asked, "So how are we going to wage war? Also, I don't think we're strong enough to go up against all the ninja villages."
Itachi wanted to learn some useful information for his beloved village more than anything, so he asked.

Itachi said while looking at Kisame beside him, "I have important personal matters to attend to before meeting."
Kisame said with a chuckle, "Of course it's the most natural feeling to want to continue your lineage before the war. Don't forget to spread your seed to as many women as possible."
Itachi nodded in approval without correcting his misunderstanding, and then his body vanished into crows.
The reason why Pain changed his decision was the secret manipulations of Obito and Zetsu. Obito had talked to him continuously for a while, making him think that gathering all the tailed beasts in battle was the best plan.
