Chapter 24: Chapter 24: The Something Between Us!

The next morning, Lilian was wake up early. In fact, she couldn't sleep well because she knew she was at Brent's house and she was still not used to it. She decided to leave that place as soon as possible before Brent wakes up.

She slowly opens the door and she peeps a little to see if anyone were outside there. When she sees there is nothing and clear, she slowly makes her walk move and suddenly...! She fell because her feet tripped over something under the floor.

''Aaahh!'' She screams out. When she looks down, she was shocked to see Brent was lying down there on the floor.

''Senior...?!''

Brent was startled too. He wakes up while rubbing his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see Lilian was sitting on his legs. Both two of them were looking at each other for a while. Lilian was smiling awkwardly toward him.

''What are you doing, Lilian?''

''I-I...Err...Um...I fell down...then...I-I do not know that you were here, too...!''

''Oh...I might fall asleep here.'' He said while squeezing out his head.

''What?? Senior, are you sleeping here all night? Why? Why are you sleeping here?''

''I just worried that you might need something or you feel uncomfortable.''

''Huh? Uhm...'' She was speechless. She didn't expect that Brent took care of her for that night. She feels insecure last night, but...he just thinking about me and worried about me. She thoughts.

''So...are you want to leave now? Do you have a class this morning? We can ride together to the campus because I have class this morning.''

''Err... it's okay. I don't have class this morning. My class is in the evening. I can go later.''

''Oh, okay. Sure.''

''Um...okay.'' She said while still dazing. Without realizing it, she still sitting on his legs, and Brent just waits for her to get up.

''Lilian...?''

''Mm...?''

''Are you plan to seat on my legs forever?''

''Huh?? What??'' She was shocked and she quickly gets up from him. ''Senior, sorry...I-I...I didnt realize it. I'm sorry...!''

''It's okay, but I think...my legs feel numb right now.''

''I...I help you get up!'' She held out her hand towards him.

He chuckling. ''I'm just kidding! Don't worry, My legs are stronger. Anyway, I can let you sitting on my legs forever...if you want to...!'' He then whispering to her.

She was startled. ''Err...I...I leave first, senior! See you later!'' She immediately runs away from there because of the embarrassment. He just smirked after she left from there.

Around two o'clock, I already arrived at the campus. My class will be started at three o'clock today and I still have an hour before I go attend my class. I decide to wait at the cafeteria for a while. I wish that Lexi and Andrew were with me at this time, but unfortunately, both of them were busy with their classes and their assignments too.

While waiting there, I kill my time by reading a novel book. I was in my own world when I focus on reading the book. Sometimes, I was laughing and sometimes I was smiling by myself.

All of sudden, there was someone coming toward me and casually seat beside me. I was aware of that but I still want to finish my story on that page. After that, I was shocked to see Daniel was seating next to me.

''Daniel...? When did you arrive?''

''I have arrived in one minute and 35 seconds before. I just saw you really focus on reading so...I just wait for you.''

''Oh, yeah? Literally, I know that someone took a seat beside me but I was just too focus on my book. I'm sorry.''

''No worries. I'm okay. So, do you have a plan after class? Would you have dinner with me tonight?'' Daniel suddenly asking her.

''Err...Uhm...I don't know. Actually, I...!''

All of sudden, Brent and the others have appeared there too. I just hope that they will be headed toward me and save me from this awkward invitation right now. I just don't know how to discard him. In fact, I was surprised when he suddenly wants to ask me out.

At that moment, my eyes were fixed on Brent's eyes. I just hope that they will come here and he will help me out. Then, I pretend to say it again out loud so that Brent can hear it too.

''Lilian? What do you say?''

''Uh? What? You said that you want to ask me out tonight?'' I said out loud while taking a glimpse at Brent. From my side view, I can see that they were coming toward me. I feel relief.

''Yeah, can we?'' Daniel keeps asking.

''Lilian! Don't forget that your dad asks us to go back together later. I will come to your house for dinner tonight.'' Brent comes closer to their table and said that out loud.

At that time, I was shocked to hear him saying that. I didn't expect that he will say that out loud and the worst thing is all of the students at the cafeteria were heard that. They were whispering to each other while giving us the suspicious look.

Meanwhile, I can see that Senior Grey, Stefan, and Darren just laughing behind Brent. They were teasing me and I really felt embarrassed at that time.

''Uh...Uhm...okay. I will call you when my class finishes later.'' I replied with a trembling voice.

''Okay. I will wait for you.'' Brent said then he and the others left from there.

''So...you have a plan tonight? Can I assume that your answer was NO?''

''Uhm...Daniel, I'm sorry.''

''No. It's okay. We can have dinner together next time. After all, we still have many times after this.''

''Err...yeah. Lets us go, our class will start shortly.

''Let's go!''

After a few hours, Lilian's class was over. She excitedly walks away from the class because she knows that Brent was waiting for her. She can't wait to meet him. At that time, Daniel keeps his eyes on her.

''Lilian! Are you leaving now?'' Daniel ask.

''Yes. Bye, Daniel. See you tomorrow!''

''Okay, Bye!''

After she left, Daniel made a call to someone. He feels a little resentful. He just said to someone on the phone that tonight's plan was canceled. He just said that their prey was gone once again. He just makes the red eyes because he feels angry.

He actually almost used his power toward Lilian just now but, he can't because there were other students in there too.

Afterward, Lilian and Brent were going back together. As usual, Lilian will be in silence when she is alone with Brent in the car. She takes a glimpse at him while he focuses on his driving. She wants to talk with him but she was scared to disturb him when he driving.

''It's okay, you can talk to me. Even though I didnt look at you, I still can listen to you.''

''Err...actually...I want to say thank you for earlier.''

''Thank you? What I'm doing?''

''Didn't you just help me to discard Daniel's invitation before? He want to ask me out but...I don't want.''

''Oh. I see. I didn't help you. Your dad really has sent me a message and told me to have dinner together tonight.''

''What?? Are you serious? But he didn't tell me?'' She said while checking on her cell phone. But, it turns out that her dad has sent a message to her about that. She just didn't read it yet.

''Uhm...I just read it now.'' She said in a disappointed voice. She slowly feels upset because she thought that he helped her earlier and she also thought that he will be jealous about that. But...it turns out was different from what she thinking.

Brent noticed that she was silent again. He smirked. He actually knows what her thinking right now. ''So, why you didn't want to go out with Daniel just now?''

''I don't want.'' She replied shortly.

''Why?''

''I said I don't want.''

''It must have a reason, right?''

''I don't want because I want to go out with the person I like! I don't want to ruin my first outing with someone just like that!'' She suddenly said in anger and raise her voice.

Brent was startled. He thinks that this is the first time he heard her raise her voice like that. Then, he pulled his car on the roadside for a while. Lilian was startled too. She didn't mean to yell at him but she feels upset because of him.

''Se-senior...why are we stop here?''

''Lilian? Are you mad about something? Or...did you mad at me?''

''Uh? Uhm...No! I...I just feel tired. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...!''

''Lilian...did we have something untold between us?''

''What?? Why are you saying that?''

''Because I'm confused. I'm not the person that easily understands someone but...I just doing something to someone that I intended to. I...I was...!''

''Senior...Truly...you make me feel confused too!''

At that moment, both of them were staring at each other for a while. Both of them were speechless. Lilian's heart was beating too fast at that time because the way Brent look at her is so different.

For a moment, she looked into his eyes deeply. She feels that she was drowning in his gazing. She wants to speak out but her mouth was felt locked. Brent didn't realize that he was using his power to makes Lilian confess her feelings. He didnt realize it because his heart literally captivated by her.

All of a sudden...! Brent's cell phone was ringing. Both of them were startled. He quickly answers the call. After getting the call, he quickly continues his drive at a high speed. Lilian was wondering who is calling him which is make him look a little tense.

''Senior...where are we going?''

''Lilian, I'm sorry. But I have to go to the other places first. Do you mind?''

''Err...I don't mind. It's okay. If that is urgent, we can be headed toward there first.''

Lilian was tried to control her fright when he drives faster. She just sitting quietly beside him and didnt dare to ask him anything. In the blink of an eye, she just watches that Brent can change his facial expression and his feelings too.
