Chapter 68 Abominations
Continuing, Blonsky walked up to the terrified Dr. Sterns with a sinister expression and yelled, "Turn me into the Hulk! Don't say you can't do it because if you do, you'll die."
Dr. Sterns swallowed nervously, sizing up Blonsky, and said, "You're different from ordinary people. Perhaps I can actually do it, but this experiment is very dangerous. If something goes wrong, you might turn into a monster."
"I don't care about becoming a monster; I only care about having power."
Blonsky shouted madly. Then, he had an idea and said to the four enhanced soldiers behind him, "I won't force you; you can decide for yourselves."
"Captain, we also want the same power as the Hulk."
The four enhanced soldiers shouted simultaneously, their bodies enhanced by the super-soldier serum, driving them to extremity and madness.
Blonsky nodded in satisfaction, then shouted at Dr. Stern, "Start now!"
"Alright."
Dr. Sterns dared not object and had the five of them lie on the beds. He then injected them with Hulk's (impure) blood and exposed them to gamma radiation.
Ah!
Amidst the green light, all five of them screamed in agony. Their robust bodies quickly expanded and changed color, even tearing their clothes apart.
Not long after, five nearly three-meter tall, yellow-green, bald monsters with extended spinal bones appeared in the laboratory, causing Dr. Sterns to fall in shock.
Blonsky and the other four, who had turned into monsters, didn't express anger. Instead, they felt the violent power coursing through their bodies and burst into laughter. This was the invincible strength they desired.
The five Abominations were officially born.
"New York indeed has all sorts of monsters."
Howard couldn't help but exclaim. Frank made up his mind—he would move away. After this incident, he would definitely move away. This place was not fit for human habitation.
Dr. Sterns was frightened. As he crawled backward, he shouted, "Perhaps I can help you revert back..."
Blonsky felt annoyed and casually threw a punch at Dr. Stern. Dr. Stern's eyes were filled with despair; he was done for.
Just then, Dr. Sterns appeared on a floating platform out of thin air, followed by a humanoid flame in front of him, saying, "Give me your soul, serve me, and I'll spare your life."
Dr. Sterns was taken aback and cautiously asked, "Who are you?"
"I am the Demon King, also your future boss, Dr. Stern. Don't waste time; make a contract with me."
Andrew said, "The safety, fame, and wealth you desire—I can grant them all."
After saying that, a contract appeared in front of Dr. Stern. He hesitated for a moment but ultimately chose to sign it. The reason was simple: he feared death and was very fond of fame and wealth.
Andrew wasn't surprised by Dr. Stern's choice and sent him out of the consciousness space with a wave of his hand.
Shortly after, Blonsky's fist hit Dr. Stern's chest, causing him to fly out and crash into a cabinet with a bang. However, he wasn't dead; he only suffered a large gash on his forehead—Andrew's power was protecting him.
Andrew drank his tea contentedly and said, "The Rebirth Hell will soon have a new genius."
"You mean the doctor? He'll do."
Howard said. Dr. Sterns was indeed a genius, but he can't be compared to him and Trask, they were in a different league.
Andrew shook his head and said, "I'm not talking about him."
Howard didn't understand. At that moment, a bottle containing Hulk's blood fell off the laboratory cabinet, and some fresh blood dripped onto Dr. Stern's forehead wound.
Infused with Hulk's blood, Dr. Stern's head began to enlarge, but he didn't feel any pain. Instead, he had a look of ecstasy on his face.
"I'm talking about him."
Andrew said, as Dr. Stern, infected by Hulk's blood, would transform into the Leader—the main antagonist of the next Hulk movie. Unfortunately, due to the failure of "The Incredible Hulk" at the box office, the Leader completely lost the opportunity to appear.
After becoming the Leader, Dr. Stern's intelligence would significantly increase, which was the reason why Andrew personally signed a contract with him.
"A regular genius turned into a super-genius. I've hit the jackpot."
Andrew chuckled and sent the future Leader into the Rebirth Hell. After this disaster ended, he would meet with him.
"You guys can begin."
Then, Andrew nodded at Howard and Frank, waving his hand to send them to the air ship.
At the same time, the five Abominations couldn't contain their rage any longer and jumped down from the building. As the soldiers noticed them, they immediately surrounded the monsters.
In the next moment, screams and roars resounded continuously as a disaster officially descended.
"General, there are massive monsters at Grayburn Academy."
On an armed helicopter, General Ross received a panicked call from a soldier. He glanced back at Dr. Banner and asked, "Are you sure you're not mistaken? Hulk is on the helicopter."
"I'm not… Ah!"
The soldier's words were cut off in the middle of sentence, losing contact. General Ross quickly asked other soldiers to transmit the images to the helicopter's screen. As they saw the scene, he and Dr. Banner were astonished.
On Broadway Avenue, five huge monsters were at war with the military and police or rather, massacring them single-handedly.
One of the monsters completely ignored the bullets shot at it, flipping over a police car with one hand, causing the car to roll and explode, flames and black smoke billowing into the sky.
Another monster jumped with force onto an armored vehicle, flattening the soldiers and the vehicle.
The remaining monsters laughed heartily, recklessly slaughtering the military and police. The street was filled with blood, bodies, and flames as countless people screamed and fled.
Prosperous Broadway Avenue turned into a battlefield of blood and fire, and to make matters worse, the disaster was rapidly spreading to other areas.
"Five Hulks? How is that possible?"
General Ross was shocked. After a moment of thought, he shouted, "Turn back, and get S.H.I.E.L.D.'s assistance. Norman, you're responsible for restraining one of the monsters."
"Alright."
Norman gritted his teeth, donned his battle armor, and activated the flying device to leave the helicopter, flying towards Grayburn Academy. Whether he could become a superhero or not depended on this moment.
"It's all my fault; I shouldn't have sent the blood."
Dr. Banner clenched his fists, feeling guilty. At this moment, he thought of the blood in his arms, hesitating.
On the other side, Natasha scolded, "I knew something would go wrong. Logan, you restrain one monster. Barton, coordinate everything, and the rest of you follow me to restrain the remaining monsters."
"Hung"
Wolverine grunted in response, jumping from the second floor to the street, rushing toward one of the Abominations.
"These things are getting harder and harder to deal with. Should I retire early?"
Hawkeye on the rooftop shook his head, pulling back his bow and aiming at one of the Abominations.
The remaining agents followed Natasha to the battlefield. Despite the danger, this was their mission, wasn't it?
