Chapter 16: Assassination
[3 years later, Valley of Blues]
"Damn it! Even after raising my wisdom to this point, I still can't see their mana flow! What kind of unfathomable knowledge do these Dragons have?!"
<Don't worry, Master will reach there soon.>
"Sigh... so, which one first?"
<That's up to you Master.>
"Hmm... let's go with the 'Sleeping Cliffs' first then."
A masked boy disappeared from where he was and instantly appeared at a dark cliff, beside a sleeping Blue. Concealed by his dark hood and the night's cover, the boy formed a flame blade on his right hand without letting the mana go amock and alert the other sleeping dozing Blues.
He took a few muffled steps towards the creature's snoring neck before picking up the pace and elevating himself above the Blue's neck. When he was perpendicular to his target spot, his flame blade extended to the size of the enormous Dragon's neck.
(This will be painless...)
The blade sliced through the middle of the neck neatly, slitting it from its body silently.

Suddenly, the boy heard a slight groan from the neighbouring cliff. He quickly turned his head in mid-air to find Blue slightly opening its eyes and turning to the boy's victim.
The boy used Mana's Authority on himself to accelerate himself to the ground. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he disappeared and re-appeared in the air a few metres away from the Blue.
"It will be troublesome if you were to course a ruckus, so please shut up." the boy uttered under his breath, locking his gazes into the Blue's.
A large polearm made of pure lightning emerged in the boy's hand out of thin air and was thrown towards the Blue. The polearm pierced the Blue's vocals which disabled its voice.
"Gr..." the blue made vain struggles to call out its sleeping friends while writhing pain.
The boy landed and formed the flame blade, glaring into the Blue's soul.
Panicked, the Blue raised its tail and let it fall in hopes of making an alarm, but the tail froze in the air.
The Blue stared at its tail with confusion and then looked at the incoming boy. The boy had the eyes of someone who has killed hundreds, no thousands, shining in glorified gold. He was someone to be dealt with the utmost caution unless you do not care for your life.
As the boy closed in, the fear inside the Blue started to erupt. It began to crawl, forming distance between it and the boy.
"Let's end this."
The boy pointed the flame blade just below the Blue's neck and it extended. The Blue tried its best to voice for mercy but not a single sound came out of its gaping mouth.
"Rest in peace."
The boy flicked the flame blade upwards and severed the thing which was connected to the Blue's neck.
Schwing!
The head became listless with a little sizzling sound coming from the insides.

The boy looked around to see if everything was silent or not. Fortunately, it was silent.

Sou closed the frame and disappeared using his transcended speed and continued to assassinate the Blues of the 'Sleeping Cliffs' and then moved over to other locations of the valley, repeating his work.
<Good going Master! Though they are the weakest tribe of the Dragon race, a human can't slay this many of them. Master may be the first human to pull of such a feat!>

"So the pack leader is there huh..."

At the top of the cliff, a single Blue, incomparable to the others, stood silent, watching every single move Sou pulled off on its comrades.
