Chapter 15: Chapter 15

Kaz was currently on the ground, covered in blood, with a broken arm and a nearly dead light in his eyes. This was his final fight with Korin. This was the fight that he was supposed to win because if he didn't it would crush both his pride and his motivation.

'Is this it? After all of that training, after all of that effort, I still can't accomplish such a measly task? It's just predicting movements! Master Korin has been teaching me for three years, he has already given me all of the building blocks needed to use this ability, and yet I still can't do it. I even knew what I needed to do the entire time! I paid attention to his every move, I memorized all of it, and even after a month of specific training for it, I still haven't even come close to obtaining it!' Kaz yelled in his mind, breaking a little as he lost consciousness and fell.

Korin stood across from Kaz, looking at his work with disappointment. He knew that he had pushed Kaz too far, and he stupidly believed that Kaz's healing power would let him overcome what is basically torture. He had thought that pushing someone with such powerful Yuki to their limit like this would let them surpass it and gain new power. Korin was disappointed in himself.

He was about to give up on this fight, for now, he figured that he should let Kaz rest and take a more calm approach next time. But, just then, he saw Kaz start glowing. It was a golden aura that surrounded him and slowly flowed around his body (like nen). It felt powerful, overwhelmingly powerful, to the point that Korin was having a little bit of trouble breathing, but Korin could tell at a glance that whatever this was, it wasn't Ki.

Kaz's body started rapidly healing and his Shoki spiked with power. By the time Korin had won this fight, Kaz's Yuki had already diminished back to normal and below that, with his mind in a state of panic (Meaning his Shoki was almost nonexistent) and his Chi completely drained. But now, not only his Shoki but also his Chi was rapidly coming back, with his Yuki returning to normal.

Korin was amazed by how quickly Kaz's body regenerated, as in less than ten seconds it was already back to its peak condition, and even a little bit stronger. (Saiyans aren't the only ones that get stronger after returning from near death, that's a human thing too, Saiyans are just better at it.)

Kaz then stood up and opened his eyes, showing his now golden irises. Kaz looked amazed for some reason as he looked around at everything. Korin was stunned and didn't move, not knowing how to react, but after a few seconds, the aura disappeared and eye color returned to normal.

"W-What just happened!?" Korin asked loudly, still a little shaken.

"I... I don't know. But," He looked up at Korin, "Let's continue our fight now before I lose focus. I'm not done yet, and I have to finish this!." Kaz said, immediately getting into a fighting stance.

"Wha-" Korin was going to say something, but stopped himself, deciding to ask later after feeling Kaz's Yuki return. 'Maybe he did push beyond his limit, let's see.'

After falling unconscious, time seemed to slow as Kaz thought. Yes, somehow, despite being fully unconscious, he was still thinking. But for some reason, Kaz felt off, like he wasn't thinking in his mind anymore. It was more like a black void, which was different from the white that Kaz always imagined his mind to look like.

He started to panic a little, thinking that he had died. But before he could panic anymore, he started to feel calm. He "turned" around and saw a golden light, one that was covering his body and seemed to be making him calm.

The light was radiating off of a single point. This point was some sort of golden light sphere, that was like a small, golden sun. It was expanding and contracting like a heart beat while rotating and emitting a powerful light.

Curious as anyone would be, Kaz got closer, intending to touch the strange, sun like light. You may be thinking that that is a terrible idea, but when your in a void with seemingly no way out and you're trapped there with a weird golden light ball, don't lie, your curiosity would get the better of you.

But, fortunately for Kaz, it wasn't a bad Idea at all. The closer Kaz got, the calmer he felt, making him feel like he was in a state of null. Eventually, when he was just a few feet away from the light, Kaz was completely calm, with absolutely nothing distracting him or effecting him. He slowly reached out, touching the orb with his finger.

Immediately, light filled his vision as everything turned golden. He felt weightless as he was forced back into consciousness, only to find himself on the ground. He quickly stood up, completely shaken by what he was seeing.

He couldn't see the floor! When he looked down, he saw straight through what he was standing on. What he saw below that was a ocean of golden energy. He quickly looked up, only to see two golden shapes far above him, and billions of tiny golden dots littering the sky, like stars, but there seemed to be more of them. And when he looked back down at himself and what was in front of him, he was even more confused.

When he looked at himself, he saw that his body was completely golden, including his Gi, and there seemed to be some sort of golden light radiating off of him. When he looked in front of him, he saw Korin, or at least what he thought was Korin. In front of him was the shape of Korin, but he was completely golden, just like everything else. Even his staff was golden!

'What the fuck?! What is this?' Kaz was about to ask Korin, but before he could, the gold energy disappeared and his vision returned to normal.

He looked around again, noticing the floor beneath him and roof above him were still there. He then looked back at Korin, who was also in a daze.

At the same time, an old green man suddenly shivered and looked down, feeling a strange power.

"Did you feel that Mr.Popo?" The green man asked with a worried tone.

"Kami, why are you asking me if I can sense something when your the one with the god powers. Besides, there's nothing to worry about, we are only being shown reacting right now so that the author can show the main guys power, so don't get all scared like a little bitch." The black man said while watering a flower.

"What are you talking about?" Kami asked, obviously confused.

"Ha, nothing you'll understand." Popo replied and started watering his other flowers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Korin charged at Kaz, and Kaz got ready to use Seikuken, but before he could, he thought something. 'He's about to use two consecutive afterimages and then he will kick me in my side. I don't have time to dodge or deflect it, so Ill have to block.'

Korin then went to kick him in the stomach, but left an afterimage to kick his back, but he changed it again, leaving an afterimage behind Kaz and going to kick his side. But, Kaz was prepared and caught Korin's leg, lifting him up and punching him in the stomach.

Kaz then jumped and kicked Korin even higher, before twisting to the side and narrowly dodging another kick from Korin. Korin was going to turn around and attack again, but then he saw Kaz standing there, holding the water jug.

'What the hell? How did he beat me that fast? We barely fought at all before he was able to take it! I guess he finally learnt it then.' Korin thought as he smiled a little.

Meanwhile, Kaz's thoughts were completely different. 'Holy shit! Did I just predict his movements? What the hell is this? Why can I do that so easily now? I should have at least taken a little time to get that good at it, but no, instead I just magically got the power after touching that gold thing. Jesus, with this much plot armor I might as well be a fan fiction protagonist.'

He then then froze for a moment and looked back on his life so far. 'Shit, I actually might be in a fanfiction right now. What, did the author just get tired of writing this arc, so he gave me some bullshit powerup so he could start writing the next one? What kind of bullshit is that?'

He would have continued with his delusional thoughts, but before he could a rock fell on his head, making him forget what he was thinking about. They had been fighting at high intensity for over a month now, so the tower being a little ruined at the top and braking a little makes sense right?

"Well kid, it looks like you did it." While kaz was still trying to remember what he was thinking about, Korin came in and started talking.

"Y-Yeah, I guess I did?" He replied, a little unsure.

"Ah, don't sound so uncertain. You did it! Either by luck, skill, or whatever that gold thing was, you put in the effort and you did it, so cut yourself a little slack and be happy about it." Korin told him, patting him on the back and smiling.

"Um, sure? I guess you're right, no matter how it happened, I still put in the effort and got the skill in the end." Kaz said, obviously trying to convince himself to let it go.

"Right? It doesn't matter. Now here, take this, I don't know if that power of yours healed you all the way and restored you stamina fully, so to be sure, eat this." Korin said as he handed Kaz a senzu bean.

"Ah, thank you!" Kaz said in excitement. He hadn't eaten a senzu since he got here as he always just used his Ki to heal himself and never had a need for it. He immediately put the bean in his mouth and started chewing, but was a little disappointed.

'The taste is a little bland.' He thought to himself and swallowed, and immediately he felt a hundred times better. His Ki exploded out and his body lost all fatigue, making Kaz feel more energized then he ever had in his life.

"Whoa kid, I guess you hadn't recovered all the way. With the Ki I'm feeling right now, it would seem that you are a little stronger then me already, and I have improved since you got here. That's quite the achievement. And you haven't even drank the water yet!" Korin immediately felt proud upon feeling his students new power.

"Stronger then you? Already? But how? The training I did shouldn't be enough to make me that strong this fast. What's going on? Do I have plot armo-"

"You should drink the water now, but make sure you only take a little at first to make sure your healing powers will work on it." Korin interrupted him, a little to excited to see the effects of the ultra divine water on a human.

Kaz sighed as he forgot what he was about to say. "Your right, lets see if it works!" Kaz then opened the jug and took a small sip. He immediately felt pain all over his body, but the second it appeared, it also disappeared as his aura surrounded him. He also felt his power increase a little.

"How do you feel, does your power work on it?" Korin asked after noticing Kaz get a little stronger.

"Yeah, I'm fine, it looks like my power really does work on it." Kaz replied, with both a little excitement, and a little hesitation.

"Alright then, drink the rest. And don't give me that look, I know that you want to earn your own power and all that, but you have been working for three years to get this, so don't think for a second that you haven't earned this." Korin reassured him and Kaz nodded.

Kaz then took a deep breath, braced himself, and chugged the entire thing. The pain set in before he could even finish it all and he almost started choking, but he power through and swallowed it all. He then dropped the vase and fell on his knees, sweating profusely.

'HAAAAAAAAAAAA" He yelled in pain as a grey aura erupted around him, doing its best to push the pain down, but the effects were miniscule. His Ki wasn't strong enough to suppress the power of this much Ultra Divine Water. But, as this was happening, his Ki and body were both growing in strength at tremendous speed.

And as the strength of his Ki grew, its ability to suppress the pain of the Water also grew. Slowly, over the course of a few hours, his Ki started overpowering the water. After four hours passed, his Ki was finally strong enough to completely suppress its power, and the water started showing its full effects.

Kaz stopped sweating and stood up, with both of them staring at his aura in astonishment at this new power.
