"Miss Palermo, what exactly IS this Pokemon Showcase?"

Cayde's voice asked curiously as he could be seen sitting calmly inside of the very same limousine that Palermo was inside as he spoke to her. It hadn't been the first time he had ridden inside of a limousine, not at all. Cayde was sitting on the opposite side on the other end as he spoke with Palermo.

When she had approached him not too long ago, she had asked him to come along with her to see something. She was apparently very much impressed with his performance, and wanted to show him something called a Pokemon Showcase.

"Please, you can just call me Palermo." Palermo assured as she gave Cayde a small smile. "You said you were from Almia, so I'm not surprised you don't know. The Pokemon Showcase is basically a competition for performers and their pokemon, they try their best to appeal to the audience in hopes of advancing to the next stage. The competition is solely for females. You'll understand more through your own eyes."

"I see... But, why exactly did you decide to take me along to see it? I don't know if you noticed, but I'm not exactly a female." Cayde rose an eyebrow and asked. He understood that Palermo was apaprently vastly impressed with his previous performance, but why this? Palermo seemed amused by his question as she gave a small laugh.

"To a normal person, they wouldn't have noticed as well as I. However, through one performance of yours, I could see that you are a true performer. One that truly knows how to shine." Cayde just blinked his eyes at this in surprise at the response. "I wanted you to come along so I could hear your thoughts on these performers that we'll be seeing participate."

"So, you want me to basically comment on how well they performed?"

"Certainly."

"That's interesting, I guess I don't really mind..." Cayde shrugged. From what he had been told, the one they were going to was a Rookie Class Showcase, meaning that it wasn't the grand stage. Think of it similar to a preliminary of sorts. Basically, he was going to be seeing some inexperienced in the performer field.

He was rather interested to see what kind of performances they were going to be though. From what Palermo has told him, it is a showcase to show off BOTH pokemon and trainer, so that will be interesting. It didn't seem to be anything related to singing, so that also piqued his interest. What kind of performances will he see?

It didn't take long before the limo had arrived at the venue for the upcoming Pokemon Showcase, the building itself was round and had multiple entrances. When they arrived, they arrived at one of the more empty entrance sides as to not get too much attention.

As Cayde looked outside of the window towards the building, he was pretty impressed. For a rookie stage, it was a rather decent venue. It was nothing compared to the stages that he had performed on, but it was impressive in its own right.

Cayde made sure to take out his phone to take a few photos as Palermo watched with amusement. Cayde had managed to find that he also had his phone on his person, probably didn't notice it since he was too focused on the other things. However, the connection to his phone obviously wasn't working...

Though, he did at least have a bunch of his things saved onto his hpone through downloads and such. Such as videos of his previous performances for revision, learning past mistakes, etc. Luckily, his phone was similar to his headphones, which were still around his neck, in that it could be charged through solar power.

"Just ignore the reporters, follow me." Palermo voiced as Cayde just nodded. He was used to ignoring reporters entirely, they were honestly a real pain in the ass. He understood that they were trying to get some content, but it was really damn annoying. They were doing their job, that he could respect. But, it was still a pain.

As both of them got out of the limo, Cayde followed after Palermo as the numerous reporters were trying to get a scoop from her. Palermo just ignored them as Cayde did the same, not like he needed to as they didn't recognise him at all. He was very much pleased about this.

As Cayde followed her in, Palermo told him that they were going to be watching from the private booth that she always watches from during these showcases. The both of them continued their way through the private hallways towards the private spectator box.

When they arrived, Cayde looked around to see them in luxurious room with a large glass window on the other end of the room. Calmly walking over, he looked out to see that they were overlooking the entirety of the spectator seats as well as the stage.

"The performances will be starting very soon. Make yourself comfortable." Palermo voiced as Cayde just nodded his head with a smile. He took a seat on one of the couches that were placed near the viewing window as he stared down with an interested look in his eyes.

He could see that pretty much all of the seats were filled with people, all waiting for the show to start as they were all currently just waiting and conversing with one another while waiting for the time to strike. If he were to hazard a guess, the stadium held approximately one thousand or so people.

Palermo also took a seat on the couch in front of him as they both had small talk as they waited for the show to start, along with one of the staff members coming in with some drinks for them. They waited for quite a bit as Cayde was really getting bored at this point.

"Shouldn't it have started by now?" Cayde frowned as he was pretty sure thirty or so minutes had passed and there were no signs at all of the show starting. Palermo also seemed annoyed as she frowned heavily down towards the stage. She agreed completely with Cayde.

"Indeed..."

Cayde could see the audience was also starting to become rather restless themselves as a number of them appeared rather upset and were shifting around in their chairs, some trying to look around to see if there was any hint as to why there was a massive delay right now.

This was seriously a problem. If there was one common thing known for singers and more back in his world, it was that if there is a massive delay, it has an incredible negative effect on the audience. That effect on the audience will carry on to when the performances will start, and that isn't good...

Cayde's attention was soon caught by the ringing of Palermo's phone as he watched as she picked it up, he couldn't clearly hear who was on the other side, but he could at least make it out to be a male. He could also hear quite a bit of an accent on the person.

"Is something wrong?" Cayde asked with an eyebrow raised as Palermo ended the call and gave a sigh. Palermo nodded her head, causing Cayde to frown. This was already a bad impression for him, hopefully not all showcases were like this.

"It would seem that quite a number of the performers have yet to finished preparing, so they needed to delay the start of the showcase until they are." Palermo stated this with a big frown as he could tell she was quite upset about the turn of events as well. This wasn't at all good, if a performer doesn't have the responsibility to prepare themselves in time, they won't make it far...

Cayde, being probably the most popular idol back home, knew this very well as he always made sure to prepare himself fully more than hour in advance so he could get himself into the right mindset as well as to calm himself just in case of nerves and more. He eventually got over any stage fright, but he still prepared an hour in advance though.

He really couldn't sit here and watch this anymore...

"Palermo, tell the host of the showcase that we'll be having a pre-showcase performance. We need to lighten the mood of the audience immediately." Cayde voiced bluntly and seriously as he stood up and began walking out of the room, not bothering to listen if Palermo said anything back.

Palermo blinked in surprise as she watched him walk out of the room, though she soon smiled before picking up her phone again and quickly calling a number. She knew exactly what Cayde was going to be doing soon.

She was honestly excited.
