Chapter 42: Arc Reactor and Mark-IV
Melissa P.O.V-
Oki had been in his workshop for three weeks, and he is still refusing to contact anyone, including papa and me. Even when heroes were dispatched last week whether someone is threatening him.
But the result turned out different.

Flashback-
"There are is nothing wrong, and the kid had been tinkering with stuff, he had also given a statement that not disturb him unless something unfamiliar happens." A cheetah woman says to me and walks towards papa for further reporting.

At least he could answer my calls, and what is he even tinkering.
*phone rings*
"Hello?"
"Melissa, get out of the area you are in right now!"
"Papa is something the mat-"
"Melissa, high electromagnetic radio waves have been found in Oki's lab and they are off the charts. Whatever he is building, it is something big and powerful, or his work might have failed. Get out of there right now!"
"But, Ok-"
"Melissa, listen to me, you know Oki won't be careless -..., wait, new plan, check out what is Oki doing. The radio waves seem to have died."
"I will check on him," I said with firm resolution.
Saying that I ran towards the secret entry that only Oki and I knew to enter his house.
I reached the backside of the building, went near the olive tree, and moved a cloth covering behind the tree. Doing that revealed a hole enough for a 4 or year old kid to walk freely. I crouch down and walk on my knees and follow the one path ahead. I soon reach a dead end, and only I know it wasn't a dead end.
I search for a button towards the right side, and after nearly 2 minutes of fiddling, I press a brick which was the button. The dead-end wall in front of me shook, then it slowly moved up.
After that, I soon saw a light which was the exit. I hopped out of the exit, but as I did that,
/Melissa, you are here!/
I heard April's voice.
"Waa! You scared me!"
/I am sorry, Oki had already predicted you would come through the secret exit, and so he told me to increase surveillance at the exit./
"Did he now?" I look around and see that everything looked the same, and nothing changed.
/Oki had ordered me to assist you to his workshop./
"Well, lead the way then."
We walk for about 2 minutes, and when we reach the workshop, the door automatically flings open.
All I could see around the room was black. Not even the outside light entered the room.
"April! Where is Oki?"
A hologram of a woman with beautiful curves and a super perfect body ratio with hip long hair forms in front of me. /He's here/
Then the hologram fades away bit by bit and the light it brought disappears. I always find it intrigued that Oki made such an A.I. in a year.
I look around, and I can't see anything, so I turn towards the usual place where the light switches would be. But then the entrance closes.
I was in pitch black dark now. I can't even see my hands in front of me.
"Oki! You there? Of course, you are, so stop playing games. Papa is worried about you."
Then I felt something passed near me, but it was fast.
Oki?
"Boo"
"Kyaahh!"
The lights turn on, and I see a black suit with a circle and the circumference glowing red at the chest. (Images here!)
"Oki?"
"Who do you think?" The suit talks.
"Oki! You scared me!" I see Oki taking his headgear off,
"Well, that was the point." He says that with his usual warm smile.
"Yeah, no points from me. So this is the new suit that you have been working on for 3 weeks? The only thing I can see is that you have trimmed things down and a shiny middle peace."
I look at my cousin's smug face saying, 'You have it all wrong.'
"Spill it out." I couldn't take his smug face.

General P.O.V-
"Well, for starters, this thing has thrusters, new 2.O Web shooters which are useless, and last but not the least... It has assistance for aim and calculations..." Oki lifts his arms up and bends down as if he had performed something great, and everyone is congratulating him, and he is taking it.
"So, what's new?" Melissa had a neutral face, "I don't see anything new... but for some odd reason, I feel like this glowing circle is what you have been working on all this time. Care to tell me."
"Well... that is the power source I built for the suit, it has enough power to last the suit for a month without a break, well if used thrusters frequently, it would last three days, I thought of adding a plasma blast on the palm of the suit, but it seems like I have to make a stabilizer to help me have a good stable balance when using thrusters and for that and also change the suit's design, I have to make few more adjustments, and I have new designs in mind if I want a suit for flying and attacking." Oki wears his headgear. 'Though the power should last for years, I have to keep these things secret.'
"I see, so what is the power source's source?" Melissa taps at the centre of the chest where the glowing red circle is.
"Well... I want it to be secret." Saying that, Oki walks out of the workshop with long strides and walks towards the basement.
"Hey, wait for me!" Melissa runs behind Oki to catch up.
In the basement, Oki stands at the centre while Melissa looks at him from the exit.
*Thruff*
Thrusters light up on Oki's hands and legs, Oki slowly lifts off the ground while also struggling to maintain balance.
*thump*
Due to miss adding a little more power to the thrusters, Oki hits the ceiling, and the thrusters turn off, and he falls down.
*Ting*
'Damn, using Kyber crystals has its perks, but this is too much energy. I have to control the power to the thrusters carefully.'
Oki stands up, and this time he floats at the same place, and after a minute, he starts moving around.
"Well, I would say this is a success. What do you think, Melissa?"
"Yeah, but how are just four thrusters strong enough for you to maintain balance?"
"I am a genius and a millionaire." Oki saying that, turns off his thrusters and falls down. 'Just need a billion, philanthropist and playboy... not sure I want the last one as I don't want- Not NOW OKI!'
"Well, I need some fresh air." Oki stands up and walks towards Melissa. "I will change and be back in a minute."
"Ok, let's eat at the new 'Might's Food'"
"Sure,"

Time passes smoothly without hurdles for two years.
"Oki, you ready!" David was wearing a white lab coat over his blue shirt and khaki pants. He looks at the gigantic circular reactor. (It occupies 650 Square meters, it is 50 meters tall, the inner core's circumference is 50 square meters. It's really big and if you guys want this to be changed if you think it is too big or small please feel free to express it.)
"Yeah, always am." Oki was wearing a black tuxedo. Saying that, Oki opens his car door and gets off the car.
Multiple flashlights poured on Oki and David as they slowly walked towards the reactor where many lab coats were.
'One step closer to Iron Man!'

This chapter was meant to show that (at least I wanted to) Oki has experimented a lot (Not blindly following things according to the knowledge he has got) and is doing things uniquely with Tony Stark's ideas.
Also a small help, I have decided ten out of thirteen quirks which are for the new group, and I am missing three more. I hope you could suggest some, and I don't mind if they are weak or OP just something is better than nothing, so I please ask of you for suggestions.
I hope you look forward to the following chapters, and I ask you to please tell me the areas where I have to change things. I am a newbie, and I wouldn't like to be one.
