Chapter 1: The Four Classes
Thousands of years ago the gates of hell were unlatched letting loose thousands of demons into the the mortal realm. They massacred everyone human in their way, this led to the great demon war which eventually cut down the world's population to a mere fraction of what it once was.
In just a year about 1/3 of the humans living were devoured, raped, or were made as slaves.
No human weaponry could faze them as they continued to spread throughout the world, destroying cities, countries and eventually ending several civilizations.
It was not until later did the humans have a chance to fight back. Their followers took it as a blessing, while science folk just took it as natural selection and it was just a mutation that happened to prolong their stay on this planet.
Humans started to manifest four distinctly unique abilities obtained at birth.
The first group of people had been given tremendous strength and speed that couldn't be rivaled by any demon. These individuals would be paired with a sword and shield, fighting in the frontlines.
The second was a peculiar set of skills that could summon elemental-based creatures. These creatures would range from summoning wolves to a full-fledged dragon. They would usually transmute their magic through instruments, calling upon their minions through playing them.
The third where very few individuals had acquired, it was the ability to either harness power from the sun or the moon to aid them to emit reinforcement and offensive spells. Their magic could even be used to diminish the strength of their enemies making them particularly feared.
The final was the ability to heal. They're also given several minor skills that would allow them to produce illusions and other miscellaneous spells.
These individuals with varying abilities were classed into different roles.
Warriors
Summoners
Priests
Healers
They ranked them into a hierarchy. The highest being the priest's followed by the warriors and summoners and finally the healers.
Priests considered themselves as the holiest as they were presumed to be the direct link to god and by right deserved to be the leaders in every institute. They would govern as the head of every department in any organizational-based entity. Not everyone agreed with it especially the warriors but it has been set in stone since the early times therefore it was hardly challenged in court.
The Warriors and Summoners are considered the military, they are the ones fighting the reminiscence of demons that still lurk from the early times. The majority use attack magic by either yielding weapons or summoning creature that inflict high amounts of damage. They not only have high damage magic but egos as damaging as well.
And finally the bottom of the hierarchy. The healers were once known as the backup shields in the early fight against demons. It was because their magic could only help heal the others and not kill the demons themselves.
Healers are separated from the rest at birth and are also schooled separately. There are a few healers considered to have highest prowess amongst them all. They are allowed into government but only as minor ministers and really have no say. Many arugements were brought within their community about their minute power within the system but it never got far as it was shut down by those with higher authority.
There are also those who don't have powers or who just choose not to participate in any of the battles.
They just work to make a living whilst helping build our country. They keep the country going and make up the vast majority of our population.

I am Orchid. I am a healer.
That's about all there is to know about me. Amongst even healers, my family are in the lower bracket of society.
I attend school to learn the art of healing, we learn a lot from charms to making poisonous roses.
I plan to join the army after school as a healer. That's just what I have been told to do actually, many of u just settle to go into the military, I mean the ones who come from poorer families in our society. it's not as if it has been a dream of mine to be killed during battle.
I'd actually rather just have a shop and sell some love charms on the street.
I am not exceptionally hard-working but not a slob either, I am not at the top of my class but I am not the worst. I am just there neither good nor bad but that's good for me.
I can already do some basic incantations that can heal small wounds. So you could say that I am meeting the minimum requirement.
As healers, our magic uses the natural energy around us to heal. So I find it pretty cool.We believe in transforming the energy around us into other forms, something like input into an output, therefore creating a cycle the only problem is that we have lots of incantations that come with our magic so you can imagine the size of our textbooks.
