Plot : Harry Potter goes to Hogwarts as normal, but on the way there he runs into a vampire, though he doesn't know that. Fred and George tell Ron about a vampire at Hogwarts, but he believes they were just joking around. This is what would happen if there was a vampire in Hogwarts, who is one year older than the famous Harry Potter, that could do magic. OC
Chapter 0
On Halloween Night in the Year of 1979
A child was born in a castle found on the top of a mountain in Scotland.
This child was special in ways that no other could compare.
This was a child with special parents.
Special abilities.
Special tastes.
He was a special kind of creature.
He was a vampire.
Born to Dracula and Carmilla two of the oldest, most powerful and feared vampires ever. Or at least to muggles they are. To the magical world they are a shining example of why vampires shouldn't be feared.
Their real names are Dracule and Serene Juvatich. The only vampires to ever produce a child together through natural processes.
This allowed the child to be born with the ability to use magic, control his 'rabid form' and change the course of history itself.
But this would only be in twelve years. For now, he is a baby being loved by his parents.
This was the birth of Alucard Juvatich, the Magic Vampire.
Chapter 1
Twelve Years Later
September 1st, Kings Cross Station
A pale boy with combed back jet black hair stares as an odd family passes him. This family is made up of two overly large males, definitely father and son, a tall thin woman with too much neck, the mother, and a small boy of around eleven.
This boy looked nothing like the rest of the family. He was pale with jet black hair, much like his observer's, and clothes that were multiple sizes too big. Most importantly this small boy had a scar hidden underneath his hair. A lightning bolt scar.
Alucard grins. Well seems like Mr. Potter is finally coming to Hogwarts. Alucard listens to Harry's conversation from halfway across the station using his super hearing.
"Well, there you are, boy. Platform nine - platform ten. Your platform should be somewhere in the middle, but they don't seem to have built it yet, do they?" Alucard chuckles to himself getting a look from his father, Dracule Juvatich better known as Dracula. "Have a good term." Alucard notices the Weasley's arriving at the station as Harry talks to a station guard.
Fred and George leap out of their car and rush to grab some trolleys. On their way back to their family they notice Alucard and give him a wave. He returns it before the boys continue on to their family to help them unpack.
"I'm going to get going Father." Alucard says to his father. Dracule smiles and spreads his arm out gesturing for a hug which Alucard gladly gives. After giving his father the hug he turns and grabs his trunk lifts it, effortlessly, off the floor then walks towards platform Nine and Three-Quarters following after the Weasleys.
"The station is packed with Muggles, of course." Alucard hears Mrs. Weasley say as he sees Harry whip around having apparently also heard. He sees Harry start following the Weasleys.
"Now, what's the platform number?" Mrs. Weasley asks.
"Nine and three-quarters!" The only other female of the family responds. "Mum, can't I go..."
"You're not old enough, Ginny, now be quiet." Seems a little harsh in Alucard's opinion. "All right, Percy, you go first." Percy walks forward and passes through the barrier. As he does Alucard senses the magic act up a little signaling the illusion that hides the barrier pass from muggles activating. Alucard watches Harry staring as Fred and George also pass through the barrier before he goes towards what was left of the Weasley family.
"Excuse me." Harry says.
"Hullo, dear." Mrs. Weasley responds. "First time at Hogwarts? Ron's new, too." She says pointing at the youngest male. Ron was tall, thin and covered in freckles.
Mrs. Weasley instructs Harry on how to get onto the platform and once he begins his run for the barrier Alucard walks up next to her.
"Nice job on not breaking the Statue of Secrecy." Alucard says sarcastically. "You were heard and followed by someone who could easily have been a normal. Then on top of that you instantly told them about how to access the platform and about Hogwarts." Alucard says to Mrs. Weasley. Mrs. Weasley flushes brightly in embarrassment when she realises he is right. "Be careful next time. You are lucky he was actually one of us." She nods in understanding.
"I'll keep that in mind."
"Good. Now then Good morning! How are you" Alucard says smiling. Mrs. Weasley smiles in return as does Ron and Ginny.
"Oh, we are alright I suppose. Just had a rough morning, what with everyone rushing about up and down the stairs." Alucard nods sympathetically he had been to the Weasley's house. It wasn't the largest place.
"I can get that. Dad and I nearly ran into each other at the bottom of our stairs." Mrs. Weasley flinches slightly. Two sprinting vampires colliding would have been painful for all involved.
"Well, you better get on your way. It's nearly time for the train to leave." Alucard looks at his watch and nods before blurring away followed by the rest of the Weasleys going through the barrier.
Reappearing on a crowded platform Alucard looks to his right and sees the Hogwarts Express, a scarlet steam train that has black accents. He smiles to himself.
"It's good to be back." He says to himself as he walks through the crowd towards the train. He idly listens to the chatter around the platform as he walks.
"Gran, I've lost my toad again."
"Oh, Neville."
"Give us a look, Lee, go on."
"Crabbe, Goyle get onto the train!"
Alucard reaches the end of the train as he listens to Fred and George helping Harry get his trunk into the train. He then chuckles as he hears the twins discover Harry's identity.
"This is going to be an interesting year. I can already tell." He says to himself as he gets onto the train and stops listening to everyone's conversations. He enters the last compartment on the train and lifts his trunk into the overhang above the seats with one hand. He then settles himself down in his seat as he the train starts leaving.
Alucard uses his hearing to zero in on what is happening in Harry's compartment.
"Hey, Ron." So, Ron is in Harry's compartment and the twins are talking to him there.
"Mum said we have to look after you, but we want to go talk to the school's vampire. So, we will leave you here okay." Oh. So, the twins are coming here next.
'Sure. They aren't that annoying. I mean it could be worse.' As he thinks that his compartment door opens and a pale, blond kid walks in flanked by two large gorilla looking kids. All first years. 'Yippee! An entitled first year and his bodyguards/servants.' Alucard thinks sarcastically.
"Is Harry Potter in here? I heard he was going to be here today." The blond kid asks then states.
"No, he's not here. You can leave now." The blond kid snorts then walks off. Fred and George squeeze past them as they make their into his compartment.
"Hey Vamps! How is the sun treating you?" Fred quips.
"Really, Fred, is that the best you could come up with over the break?" Alucard asks in disbelief.
"Well the 'stakes' were high, and I think I soared." Alucard chuckles.
"Those two were a little better. I'll give you that." Fred whoops and high fives George. Then freezes.
"How can you tell I'm Fred?" Alucard grins.
"Easy. Fred has a darker blue eye colour and George has more freckles on his chin... and I can smell the difference."
"Oh. Forgot about the super senses." Alucard nods at George' assessment. He then hears a commotion at Harry's compartment.
"I'll be right back. Our local celebrity needs a bodyguard." The twins grin and Alucard blurs out of the compartment. Appearing behind Crabbe and Goyle, Alucard listens to what the Malfoy says.
"Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask who you are. My father told me all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles and more children than they can afford." Alucard decides this is where to step in.
"And my father told me all the Malfoys have a pole stuck up their arse, an ego the size of Hogwarts and an obsession with their father. So far he seems to be completely right." Alucard says freaking out all the occupants of the compartment. Malfoy is the first to recover.
"What did you say?" Alucard grins.
"You heard me." Malfoy's cheeks tinge pink.
"Who are you?" Alucard does a little bow.
"Alucard Juvatich, at your service." He announces with a grin. Malfoy and the gorillas pale considerably. They had heard about him it seems. Straightening up he says. "Maybe you should get going. There doesn't seem to be a need for you here anymore." Malfoy grunts and walks around Alucard to disappear down the corridor.
"Blimey that was cool." Ron says as Harry nods along.
"Are you a first year also?" Harry asks him. Alucard shakes his head.
"Nope just off Mr. Potter, second year." Harry and Ron look surprised.
"How did you..."
"I have very good hearing you'll come to find." Alucard says with a grin as he takes a seat and crosses his legs. "So, what houses do the first years want to be in hmmm?" Harry looks slightly uncomfortable while Ron answers.
"I want to be Gryffindor, like the rest of my family." Alucard nods the turns to Harry.
"And you?"
"I-I don't really know. I haven't been introduced to the wizarding world for long." Alucard shrugs then uncrosses his leg as he turns to Harry.
"That's fine I can give you a breakdown of the houses quickly if you want?" Harry nods.
"We'll go in alphabetical order starting with Gryffindor: This is the house of the brave, chivalrous and courageous. They are symbolized by a lion and their scarlet and gold colours. The houses motto is: 'Their daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart.
Next is Hufflepuff: This is the most accepting of the houses valuing fair-play, patience, loyalty, dedication and hard-work. They are symbolized by a badger and their yellow and black colours. Their house motto is: 'Those patient Hufflepuffs are true and unafraid of toil.'
Next Ravenclaw: This is the home of cleverness, wisdom and wit. They are symbolized by an eagle and their blue and bronze colours. Their house motto is: 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure.'
Finally, we have Slytherin: This is a house that values ambition, cunning and shrewdness above all. They are symbolized by a snake and their silver and green colours. Their motto is: 'Slytherin will help you on your way to greatness.'
And those are the houses. The sorting will decide which you will join."
"Oh. um. I think I would like to be in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor." Harry says. Ron snorts into his hand. Alucard sends him a withering look before turning to Harry.
"Those are good choices. To be fair they all are, but you know yourself best. I had to choose between all four. I got stuck there for like 10 minutes!" Alucard laughs.
"Which one did you choose in the end?" Harry and Ron ask together.
"I chose Gryffindor. Though there isn't much difference between the houses except common room locations and timetables as far as I can tell." Harry nods while Ron leans back.
"Then why are there houses?" Harry asks.
"There were four founders. I guess they wanted to be remembered somehow." Harry makes an 'Oh' face. "Well I better get going. Your brothers will be wondering where I went." Alucard tell Ron before exiting the compartment. "Oh yeah. Remember to change into your school robes soon." Alucard reminds before walking off.
The boys close the door then start changing when a thought occurs to Harry.
"Ron?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you get that kids name?" Ron frowns slightly thinking.
"No, I didn't. He said it to Malfoy to scare him off, so he must have an important family." Harry hums in thought
