2. Galatians 5:17 says that the desires of flesh and spirit opposed to each other.
Desires of flesh always lead us to death sometimes spiritual death, let us take an example of spiritual death, Adam and Eve disobeyed God's commandment so they hide themselves from God's presence and even though they were alive Bible predicts that God was searching them, this is called spiritual death.
Matthew 24:42 says awake in spirit, while we are in the desires of flesh, we couldn't awake in spirit. Both opposed each other so let us give importance to the spirit and flame flesh over the fire of the holy spirit.
Whoever has ears let them hear the spirit says,
Awake in spirit for the secret coming of JESUS
