Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Raccoon village
Shikamaru woke up in a large-sized room that he did not recognize, he realized that he had blacked out again and was most likely taken to Elder Shiroi's house, or maybe Kurogami's house, too bad he could not remember much of what happened.
The only thing he could still recall is activating his shadow powers and using them to subdue Kurogami, but he didn't remember anything after that, he hoped that he hadn't caused any harm to Kurogami.
He stood up from the bed he was laying in and looked around the room, there was a door on the left side of the room, a closet, a small table with a chair, and another door.
Shikamaru checked both doors one of which led to a bathroom and one led to a hallway.
Shikamaru didn't know how long he had been here so he wanted to return to the Anbu dorms as quickly as possible, he didn't want to experience the commander's anger since he had seen what happens to others when they anger the commander.
He walked around for a couple of minutes before finally finding the exit of the building, and what he saw greatly surprised him, he found himself to be in a giant village, he could see giant mountains surrounding the village and one giant building in the middle of the village.
What surprised him the most though were the numerous raccoons running around the village.
"Are you surprised?" Shikamaru heard Elder Shiroi's voice from behind him and smiled.
"Of course, who wouldn't like a village full of raccoons?"
The raccoons that heard Shikamaru smiled proudly knowing that their summoner liked them.
Shikamaru then turned to face Elder Shiroi "But Elder Shiroi I'm gonna need to ask you to bring me back since I don't want the commander to be angry at me."
Elder Shiroi smiled at me "Don't worry, you have already been asleep for a whole day so it won't matter if you are a bit later, now, you will be meeting Little Daichi and he will test you and after that, you may leave if you wish to do so."
Shikamaru wondered who this Little Daichi was and despaired internally about what would happen when he went back to the Anbu dorms.
Elder Shiroi and Shikamaru started walking towards the center of the village during which they passed many types of raccoons some of which were walking around with various types of weapons.
After walking around for 25 minutes they reached a large round building that had the kanji for 'raccoon' on it.
Elder Shiroi and Shikamaru entered the building which was guarded by two very fat raccoons who held giant spears almost three times the size of their body, both of the guards nodded respectfully at Elder Shiroi who nodded back at them.
Before they could enter though a loud voice interrupted them "Wait for me!" It was Kurogami who was running after them.
Elder Shiroi frowned and said with a threatening voice "Kurogami, what have I told you about being respectful in public?"
Kurogami seemed to be frightened to death as he immediately started profusely apologizing to Elder Shiroi.
After Kurogami got scolded by Elder Shiroi and laughed at by Shikamaru they finally entered the building.
The building on the inside looked quite luxurious and they passed many rooms while they were walking through the halls of the building, eventually, they reached the end of the hall where two large doors were located, two more guards stood next to the doors.
The guards upon seeing Elder Shiroi immediately opened the doors.
Shikamaru would, until the end of his life, remember the aura that was coming from the room.
A malicious and oppressive feeling started pressuring down on Shikamaru, it was very much like during his fight with Itachi where Itachi used killing intent except this time it felt like the second Shikamaru took a step forward he would be killed a thousand times.
Luckily for Shikamaru, this pressure only lasted for a second before it completely disappeared.
Shikamaru fell to his knees, panting and profusely sweating, after around a minute he had managed to recover albeit only slightly.
Shikamaru managed to steel his will and stood back up and entered the room with a determined expression, there he was yet again surprised.
He was truly amazed at the different types of raccoons that existed, the raccoon that was sitting in front of a table was built like a mountain, its muscles looked like they had muscles and it had numerous scars on its body, the most gnarly looking scar was on its face running through its left eye ending just before its mouth, it looked like it had been caused serrated blade.
The raccoon looked at Shikamaru and with a deep baritone voice spoke to him "Good, at least our summoner isn't a wimp, while you are weak I guarantee to you that I will whip you into shape before the end of the year, now, you will go back to your realm and tell the person who has been training you that you will be gone till the end of the year, I expect you to be here by tomorrow.
And with that Shikamaru lost consciousness.
Elder Shiroi simply smiled mysteriously and chuckled "It seems you are quite fond of our new summoner, I shall bring him back to his realm and after that, we can discuss his training regime."

Sorry for not updating for so long, couldn't really find the motivation to write my fanfiction, but I did get started on writing my own novel, not releasing it yet though since I want to stack a bunch of chapters before I release it.
