Chapter 88: Chapter 87

Syn stayed until the sun was already setting. After seeing the skies turning orange, he stood up from his seat and prepared to leave.

But then, right when he was just about to leave, the lady caretaker of Cale came to join the funeral.

Upon seeing Syn's unfamiliar face, the lady flinched and kept her distance. Chess noticed how she was uncomfortable. Syn also saw her tremble, however, none of them was considerate enough for the lady.

In fact, Syn even decided to stay a bit longer upon the arrival of the caretaker.

He sat back down on the chair and stared at her intensely. The lady caretaker couldn't even raise her head.

To her, Syn feels a lot more intimidating than Chess.

It's almost as if she was suffocating especially when Chess left the both of them to get some snacks.

"Cale hired you?" Syn suddenly spoke.

The lady flinched again before nodding her head repeatedly.
