Chapter 45: D Class Dungeon, Earth Bears
Noah already had a good idea how strong D Class monsters were after fighting a bunch of them over the ten days. He took out the bag filled with books and took out three enhancers: two were the same called Light Blade (Silver), one was Sonic Edge (Gold).
[Light Blade (Silver: Increases the speed and slightly increasing the sharpness of your blade]
[Sonic Edge [Gold]: Increases speed and damage of the blade. Adds an unnoticeable high-speed vibration to the blade allowing cut through defences better]
He had contemplated giving Alice Sonic Edge but decided he would use it. Learning all three enhancers his Sword Mastery reached D Class.

Noah took out a bag filled with his necessities which held the Black Estoc. He held the sword waving it around. It had gotten much faster he waved at a tree. The sword passed through the tree as if it wasn't there, Noah couldn't feel any resistance. The tree fell to the ground as the place where the tree was cut was stained black because of corrupting wound.
The staff was tied to his back while Black Wind was around his arm with a strap. He now wore the Black Estoc on the left side of his waist.
He looked at his status page.

His attributes had slightly increased due to the Solo clear achievement but it could only give a maximum of 5 attributes, which he had gotten. He didn't use the bonus attributes since he didn't need them at the moment.
Firearm Mastery had reached D Class in the ten days. He also looked at the other new skills he gained.

He took a deep breath put away his status page and entered the cave.

Compared to the dungeons he had gone to before this one was much larger. He felt that the mana inside the dungeon was also denser as he walked in. F Class and E Class also had denser mana than the outside world but there wasn't a noticeable difference like in the D Class dungeon.
Finally, the cave opened to an incredibly large cavern. So large he couldn't see an end from where he was standing.
Holding Black Wind with hands, Noah crept forward. His mind was alert and his eyes looking around systematically for monsters. Not seeing any monsters, he came to a stop in front of a large boulder. The boulder lightly shook causing Noah to leap back and pull up his gun. The boulder unravelled to form a bear type monster made of rocks and dirt.

He pulled the trigger of his rifle retreating, as the bear ran towards him roaring and smashing its rocky claws onto the ground. Seeing Noah was gaining distance away from it, the bear slammed both claws together to the ground. The ground shook and sent a strong pulse out from it through the ground to him.
The attack was sudden, Noah he wasn't able to escape as his foot touch the ground launching him back. His body wrapped up as his arms crossed to defend his front.
Sensing something wrong, he turned his body in the air and loosed the Levitation Staff from his back, activating Levitation. The staff being pushed back along with rose up and came to a stop. Under him, the place he was supposed to land on had spikes of stone jut out.
Standing on the staff Noah had it move around as he shot Mana Bullets at the Earth Bear. The enhancer Strengthen Mana Bullet made the damage a level higher. He wasn't able to break its defence but he was leaving sizzle marks on its armour.
The bear seeing its attack fail, spit out towards Noah. A rock was cannoned out at him. A Mana Screen formed and shattered almost instantly but it gave Noah enough time to Flash Step away.
He killed the first bear and came down to rest. In this dungeon, he had to make sure not to fight more than one of them together. At the moment almost half of his mana had been completely used in just fighting one of them.
The Earth Bear had the highest defence he had seen in a monster but also had incredibly low speed. It had barely moved during the fight mostly staying in the spot.
Getting up again, Noah looked for another earth bear. He shot at it from a distance and lured it towards himself. Then slowly killed it. He then followed this strategy and reached the Dungeon Lord's lair.

The giant bear roared and slammed its arms to the ground. Floating on the staff Noah wasn't affected but he still felt the vibrations the entire room shook.
The Mother Earth Bear's red eyes locked onto him. It clapped its hands together, seeing Noah floating.
Gravitational Zone!
Noah who was about to shoot felt his weight get increase and a strong force pulled him towards the ground. The staff lost its ability as he fell, slamming into the ground sending a cloud of dust into the air. The force of attraction held him down on his kneeling. Its strength so strong he couldn't break free.
The mother earth bear released the hold of gravity as it separated its hands but immediately slammed down casting another ability.
Earth Coffin!
The ground on the sides of Noah rose as if trying to flatten him between them. The grasp of the earth was released so Noah Flash Stepped back as the two earth walls shut like a sarcophagus.
Going around it, Noah jumped back onto his Levitation Staff, shooting from Black Wind.
The Mother Earth Bear stamped its foot sending rocks flying up and sending them his way. Noah had the staff move to avoid them and shot back with bullets.
The Mother Earth Bear roared in annoyance as Noah weaved through her attacks. She clapped her hands again but this time having both hands pointing in the opposite direction.
Reverse Gravitation!
The force of gravitation reversed as he was now pulled towards the ceiling. The sudden change had him fall off Levitation Staff. He looked at the roof of the cave covered in sharp stalactites. Then at the Mother Earth Bear.
The Mother Earth Bear stood stuck to the ground, now standing on the ceiling from Noah's perspective shot rocks at him.
The Levitation Staff shot down as three rocks hit the ceiling hiding what happened in the dust that rose.
Noah shot out, standing on the Levitation Staff. He had cast Defense Up and letting the staff reach in time allowing him to Flash Step out of the way of the rocks. Noah shot at the Mother Earth Bear, he now had to fight with his perspective upside down.
Only his gravitational force had changed, which made the use of the Levitation Staff awkward. Going up was having the Staff go down and so on. Because of Blessed Mind, he was able to get used to the change immediately and continue combat.
He had to stay in range combat now since it would be too difficult to fight in close combat only using the Levitation Staff as a platform.
He whizzed around stalactites, leaving bursts of dust as he used them to block the attacks of the bear. While he also shot back.
The Mother Earth Bear started casting a spell.
It was its first skill that actually had a cast time. Black Wind Burst! The black bullet smashed into the bear unbalancing and causing the skill to cancel. It started casting again after balancing itself.
This small gap in time allowed Noah to apply Speed Boost which he had finished casting on himself, followed by Death's Dance and Cold Mind. Then he Flash Stepped the entire distance between him and the Mother Earth Bear, switching weapons as he took out the Estoc from its sheath and moved Black Wind to his left hand.
He flew past leaving a large wound causing the Bear to cry in pain. The effect of Reverse Gravitation wore off as well. Noah landed on the ground ignoring the Levitation Staff. He Flash Stepped near to the bear leaving another wound.
The momentum builds as he ground the bear's defence down. The Mother Earth Bear roared as it was about to use another attack however it was too late.
Flash Stepping onto its head, Noah jumped off and turned around while he pointed Black Wind in his left hand at the Bear. In the slowed-down world of Cold Mind, he pulled the trigger multiple times, shooting 20 rounds in less than a second.
It the effect Rapid Shpts that allowed him to shoot so many bullets so quickly, with Critical Hit Eyes showing him the weak points, the bullets pierced into the bears body together.
THUD!
The Bear fell to its knees. Then Boom! It entire body collapsed onto the ground.

Noah looked at the loot that had dropped. Silver coins, four books and two pieces of equipment.
The books had two skills and two enhancers.

Send out waves of vibration through the earth launching enemies back.
Cooldown: 5 minutes

A heavy arrow made of stone that when hits a target explodes. Single use item.
[Gravitational Staff] (E Class)
A staff made of stone has the power to alter the gravitational force in a certain area.

75% increase in earth magic damage
30% decrease in mana usage
Active Skill: [Gravitational Zone]
Control the gravitational pull in a selected area. The staff cannot be moved when skill is active.
Cooldown: 2 hours
Noah tied the staff to his back. He didn't equip but wanted to keep it for its skill, the Gravitational Zone skill the bear had a left a strong impression. As for everything else, he kept them away.
