Chapter 18: A new experience
Anna felt alive as if a part of her was missing for a long time and she finally was about to find it just because of this little girl, she felt peaceful
These three days were meant everything to Anna, she felt alive, living with a baby who's just four years old was an unexplainable experience for Anna,
However there was no clue of her mother, she was still missing or should I say Maria was still missing
Leaving Marin in a kindergarten not too far away from her apartment, she went to the police station once again, just to get some information about her mother
"Any update?"
Seated in front of the police officer Anna asked with her serious face
"No not yet, the thing is.... we checked everywhere near the place where she lived, but her mother has already sold her house!"
Explaining the real situation the officer utter, everything sounded so suspicious, building so many questions in her head
"And? where is she now!?
Being curious Anna asked as the anger rushed into her veins, she just wanted that woman in front of her so she could ask her, how dare she let a little girl and that's her own daughter leave like that
"Yesterday we got to know that...she has left the country! after selling everything which belonged to her in this place"
As soon as the officer continued putting facts into words Anna's blood started to boil, she was so furious at this point every part of her body was burning in rage, she was getting mad and mad with every word of the officer
"And what about her daughter?" with her frowned eyebrows Anna asked with serious expressions
"I don't think she's her daughter!" officer put his thoughts out, as far as he knows through his experience, he can tell, that woman who called herself Maria's mother wasn't really her real mother
"Then what?" tilting her head to the side Anna again let her words out, now what? what would they do?
"As we know now, she wasn't a good person! I mean she was into drug dealings and that is the reason behind her sudden step!"
The officer exposed the real identity of Maria's mother, was she her real mother? or not? no one knows
"And what now! what about that girl, she is only 4 years old!" standing up from her chair Anna utter with anger filled in her voice
"Calm down ma'am! it's not our fault!"
the officer said as he got irritated by Anna's behavior, as the officer thought she's overreacting while Anna who was just worried about Maria's feature, didn't realize where she was standing and who she was talking to,
"I'm sorry" taking a deep breath as she sat down again "now what do I do?" Anna proceed
"If you want you can send her to an orphanage or if you want you can take her custody!" nodding to what the officer said Anna stood up and left without saying a word.

Standing outside the kindergarten, Anna gave a thought to whatever the officer said

Taking a deep breath Anna tried to calm down as her mind was now stuck in the storm of thoughts, she closed her eyes
and felt a sudden cold wave of wind hitting on her face
"Annaaaaaa" coming back to reality Anna opened her eyes after hearing the soft voice of an innocent little girl named Maria, who was now alone, her mother left her behind without giving a second thought of what would happen to her daughter.
Anna wanted to cry so bad, she was melting for this kid.
"How was your day?" Anna said bending down to Maria's level
"I made new friends today" hearing a chuckle left from Anna's lips thinking of the word *friends* made her laugh, Maria was the total opposite of Anna.
"Let's go!" putting a smile on her face Anna utter
"When will mama come back?" Maria asked innocently, not knowing the person she called her mother, she was not her mother she was a monster for throwing her daughter into this painful world all alone.
"Why mama? am I not enough? I'm your friend right?"
Making Maria sit on her bike Anna asked in a sweet manner which was rear to this world but not to Maria
"But you are not my mama?" making a little pout on her lips Maria utter
"Your mama will not come, never!"
Anna utter with her cold voice as Maria was asking for her mother again and again,
she didn't want to give any fake hopes to her, she didn't want her to wait for her fake mother all her life, telling her the truth was the best she could think of right now
"What are you saying?" cries can be heard in her voice, Maria asked
Without a word Anna also hopped on her bike, ready to go
The foggy weather didn't help her teary eyes, keeping the speed low she rides her bike not wanting to get in any more accidents~
When you see tears in her eyes, you see it's not about the wins or the losses, It's about the opportunities

Getting ready for another day of her job after one week she's going back and it was a hard task, going back to the same place after a long period of these days
In these past days, Anna has applied for Maria's custody, she didn't want that little girl to be left alone in this big fake world of humans
In these days Maria has made a place in Anna's life and her heart which only felt happy with this little kid, in Anna's eyes she was the only light in her eyes, every time she smiles makes Anna's heart melt more,
And the warmth in Anna's heart which was growing was only for Maria and no one else
