Chapter 20: Wasted the chance
"And what if I did?"
raising his eyebrows he utters stepping more closer
"So you did?"
With a bitter smile on her face, she Anna speaks as she didn't expected this
"And what if I did not?"
Hearing him Anna looked up at him as he was standing just a few steps away.
"I'm not here to play! with you, give me an answer!"
Standing up from the couch she utters with her calm voice
"I'm not playing!" stepping another step closer Zain proceed
"Please! I just want to know, is my job still valid or not?" looking directly into his eye Anna said
"I also want..... to know something!" looking back in her dark orbs Zain utter.
"what?" tilting her head to the side Anna replied not sure about what he wants to know.
"Not now, but sometime else!" nodding his head Zain wasted a big chance to get her utter every answer he wants from her, maybe he was thinking something else in his mind.
"my job?" asking with her empty voice as she could not bear standing here anymore.
"you're not fired, just..... your seat has changed!" Zain replied wasting no time as he looks at her unhealthy state
"where!... where do I have to go?" Anna utter as her chest was going up and down once again, her breathing got unstable
"huh! what?" not understanding her Zain asked
"I said what seat? where do I have to sit?" with her voice a little louder than before Anna utter, she just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
"Are you ok?!" stepping more closer Zain proceed to see her struggling with her breathing
"I'm ok! just tell me what I asked!" placing her one hand in the air gesturing him to stop, where he stands, she asked with a firm voice
"your cabin now, it's on the same floor, the 2nd floor, in the third-row cabin BA"
doing the same as what she said he utter the name of her cabin as he stands still.
"thank you!" saying that Anna barge out of his office
while he was just standing there, without blinking, as he didn't understand what just happened,
"what is she?!" blinking his eyes while tilting his head he asked himself once again...
walking in the hallway everything went as Anna tried to find her cabin, her vision was going black to normal back and forth, standing beside a wall, she puts her right hand on it for support.
"excuse me! are you ok?" a guy who looked the same age as her boss asked
"yea!" not being in her mind Anna put her left hand up gesturing the guy to hold, she replied with her closed eyes
"um, you want help?" holding her hand as she asked the guy utter concern.
"cabin BA" opening her eyes she couldn't saw his face clearly as her vision was blurry
"oh, that's the same cabin as mine! come with me!" saying that the guy helped her in the way
"here this is the only seat no one's using so maybe it's yours! by the way, do you want to see the doctor? I don't think you're fine!" making Anna sit at her place he starts talking nonstop, maybe he is a talkative person
"I'm OK! thank you" Anna simply utter not being too friendly, as the last time she was friendly to Sarah, and what she did was unacceptable.
"I think you should drink some water! wait here I would get it for you!" Anna looked at him frowning as he made his way out to get water for her, closing her eyes she put her head down on her desk and took some deep breaths, she tried to calm her heart down once again
"here" after a while that talkative guy came back putting the water bottle on her desk, he sat down on the chair beside her.
seeing her not getting up as get head was still laying on the desk, he was about to touch her shoulder to wake her up but before him doing it, picking up her head she sat straight on her chair, picking up the water bottle she gulps down whole in one go,
"were you that thirsty?" raising his eyebrows he asked making Anna looks at him weirdly
"i- I mean you want more?" realizing his words he changed his question.
"no" looking back in the front she sees a laptop placed on the desk with some files placed beside it.
looking at the files made her realize that these are the same files she worked on, maybe when she was on leave someone else took over on her place, but now that she is back, she is going to continue from where she stopped.
while looking at the side she saw a new neighbor, she same talkative guy who helped her~
