Chapter 33: CHAPTER # 33

'No, no, no!!! How can I forget this?! How stupid of me!!!' I cursed myself while running towards the Niam mansion.

'Twenty fifth! How can you forget this day, Sabrina?! The day when everything went downhill! The day that every year brought nightmares for Sabrina! The day she lost her everything! How can you?!' I just kept running and running, kept cursing myself until my house was finally in sight.

"Sabrina!!! Stop for God's sake!!!" Knox shouted as he was running behind Sabrina this whole time, not knowing what was going on. Grandpa Flyn was also behind them since he got worried by Sabrina's unusual behavior.

'Please be home! Please be home!' I kept praying as I ran inside our main gate startling the guards on duty.

"MOM!!! DAD!!!! SHANE!!! MR. BUTLER! FANNIE!...ANYBODY!!!" I shouted as I entered our mansion. I looked around and found a few maids startled by my sudden outburst. I ran towards them.

"Where are they?! Mom and Dad, where are they?" I asked with desperation in my eyes. Soon Knox and Grandpa Flyn also came.

"T-They left ten minutes ago." the maid said as my heart dropped.

"What's wrong? Milady?" Mr. Butler said as he came running towards me with Fannie following up.

"Exactly! What is the matter after all, for you to run all the way here from the training grounds?" Knox added. Soon everyone started to bomber me with question but I was not in the condition to answer anyone.

"I have to go," I said as everyone went silent.

"Go where?" Grandpa Flyn asked as I looked at him and said, "I have to go and save them" making everyone confused. Before they could speak any other word I dashed out towards the garden.

"AUGUSTUS! CELIMINE!" I shouted as both of them appeared from mid-air, with a concerned expression.

"What happened?" Celimine asked.

"Can you teleport me to the Valley of the South?" I asked with hope. They both looked at each other before Augustus spoke,

"I'm sorry, but we can't. Teleportation is something only mages can do. We don't have that in our hands. We could fly there but you are still not strong enough and you haven't cultivated enough divine mana for that either".

"What?...Now what should I do?" I said as my body dropped on its knees.

"Who is she talking to?" Grandpa Flyn asked Knox who seemed to be drowned in his thoughts.

"Huh? Oh that, maybe her celestial spirits. Anne told me about them" Knox spoke without realizing.

"Celestial spirits?" Grandpa Flyn asked.

"*tch* She is the Agnola. It is obvious that she has something to do...with...Uh...you didn't know that, did you?" Knox said, awkwardly looking towards his Grandpa who was too shocked to even move.

Knox ignored him and again focused on Sabrina who was still on her knees with a worried expression on her face. He then suddenly ran from there confusing everyone whereas Grandpa Flyn was still in a shock.

"What should I do now? I can't do anything...I can't...do...anything" I said as my vision blurred because of the tears my eyes were holding in for so long, Augustus and Celimine just looked at me with pity and worry, since they couldn't help either.

"SABRINAAA!!!!!!"

Knox shouted, gaining everyone's attention. Everybody turned to his direction just to see him on a horse running in our direction. I was also shocked by his sudden action.

'WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING ON A HORSE?!!! IS THIS THE RIGHT TIME TO SHOW OFF YOUR HORSE RIDING SKILLS??' I scolded him in my thoughts as I looked at him.

"Come on!! Hop on!! Hurry! We can still catch up!!!" he exclaimed as realization hit me.

'Knox has always been excellent at riding horses ever since he was young. Why did I not think about it? Let's not waste anymore time and go!' I thought before hopping on the horse with the help of Knox.

"Hyaaa!!!" Knox exclaimed as the horse galloped towards the main street. Grandpa Flyn regained his senses and also hopped on one of the carriage horses near him after detaching them with the carriage and went off after Knox and Sabrina.

"Knox! How will we get there?!" I asked in a loud voice.

"The Royal Academy is situated in the South and I know a shortcut that could lead us there faster!" He said as I held on to him tighter since I never had a good experience with horses.

"But why are we going there?" Knox asked as I remained silent.

'How should I answer him? I know the plot! Which is why?' I thought as I looked behind since I heard a rapid gallop of a horse from behind us. It was Grandpa Flyn.

"Grandpa is behind us!" I exclaimed, hoping to change the topic.

"I won't ask again if you don't want to tell me. Just keep this in mind that I trust you and forever will!" he said as I looked at him in silence.

"Thank you" I mumbled, loud enough for Knox to hear. He smiled which Sabrina couldn't see since she was sitting behind him.

"Hyaa!!" Knox exclaimed before increasing the pace of the horse, making me clutch his shirt tightly. I can totally feel a big smirk plastered on his face since in this situation obviously he is probably superior to me.

Soon we reached the Valley of the South which is located in the South...obviously.

'It took us more than half an hour to reach here. Are we on time?' I thought, looking here and there just to find the specific carriage.

"Don't worry we are absolutely on time. Look!" Knox said and pointed towards some direction. I followed his lead and soon spotted them....my family.

Dad was on his horse with a bunch of men beside him whereas Mommy was in the carriage with Shane which was also surrounded by knights. But that was not the only thing I saw...

"Knox! Hurry!!" I yelled as Knox nodded and paced up his speed and the next thing I knew was, Knox and I were in mid-air in front of them, making them stop in their tracks.

*Neigh*

The horse neighed as he landed on his four feet.

"KNOX! YOU STUPID IDIOTIC FOOL! HOW CAN YOU JUMP FROM UP THERE!!! I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE TODAY BECAUSE OF YOUR SHOW OFFS!!!!" I yelled at Knox who was just unbothered and what he said next made my blood boil.

"That's okay but, doesn't stupid, idiot and fool mean the same?" he said looking at me.

"SHUT UP!!!" I again yelled at him as he laughed.

"Sabrina? What are you doing here?" Dad asked while getting off the horse. I got off the horse with his help and soon Mommy also got off and came towards me, leaving Shane in the carriage who was peeking with his whole head out of the window.

"Why did you leave? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him as he sighed and bent down.

"I thought you'd get sad if I told you that we'll be leaving in the afternoon right after I told you that we postponed our journey," he said.

"But why are you here? Like this and wha- Uncle Flyn? You too?" Mommy was asking but stopped when she saw Grandpa Flyn following up with his horse. He got off the horse and came running towards us.

"I was worried for the kids since they just dashed off without any warning or explanation." He said as others nodded.

"And from the explanation I remember, you too have some explanations to give me, don't you?" he said, eyeing each and everyone of us. Me and Knox just looked at each other whereas the elders were confused.

"What explanation?" Dad asked with frowned eyebrows.

"That...um...a-actually I, somehow...spilled the secret...It was an accident. I promise!" Knox said as Mom and Dad's eyes widened.

"You brats! How long were you planning to hide it from me? Huh?!" Grandpa Flyn exclaimed while everyone went silent and just glanced at each other.

"You-"

"We'll talk about this later but first! What are you doing here?" Dad cut Grandpa off and asked looking at me as I remembered my sole purpose of this journey.

"We have to retreat!" I said, making him confused.

"What?" He said, looking at me.

"I. Said. We. Have. To. Go. Back!!" I said, grabbing Dad's hands, emphasizing each and every word.

"But why? Sabi, we can't. This is an import-"

"I don't care!! All I care about is your safety! So please listen to me and head back huh? Don't ask any questions right now just...please listen to me" I pleaded.

Dad and Mom looked at each other before Dad let out a sigh. He stood up and ordered everyone,

"We are retreating!!"

I sighed in relief. Mommy went and sat inside the carriage with Shane, Knox and Grandpa hopped on their horses and Daddy and I started walking towards his horse since I requested to ride with him which made Knox definitely not happy.

Daddy and I were about to reach the horse but soon, an arrow landed in front of my feet making my heart stop.

'So what I saw was not an illusion...'
