Chapter 8: So it's her, huh?

Asra's troops was tense as the enemy could attack at any moment. Though their commander, Asra, was not in the least bit worried. In fact, he just thought of this war similar to a game and their enemy forces are just a group of ants to him.

Fifteen thousand enemy forces are just cannon fodders in this war. He could easily annihilate them but he wanted some fun. Besides, he was bored and needed to show his ability to command to the anti-satan faction's leaders.

And at this time, Asra was seated leisurely in his tent.

"Hmm, not bad," He muttered as he tasted the wine he got in the camp.

*Swoosh!*

"My lord,"

"Hm, have you found the reason why?" Asra asked, he didn't turned towards the person as he already knew who it was.

"Yes, the enemy seems to be waiting for someone, according to the enemy commander in that outpost." Bevis reported

"Hm, interesting, go and notify some of 'them' to prepare. I've got a feeling that they will be needed. You prepare too, Bevis."

"Understood!"

*Swoosh*

"It seems some fun things will happen soon." Asra smirked before continuing his leisure time.

.....

Meanwhile, on the enemy camp, the outpost commander welcomed someone with high authority on their faction. She was one of the commander of the whole army.

She is a beautiful young woman appearing to be in her early twenties with back-length silver hair that features a long braid on each side with small pink bows at the ends, while the rest is let down which ends in twin braids and red eyes.

(A/N: I used her appearance in LN, so her eyes are red and her small bows are pink.)

The arrival of the woman along with the tropps behind her caused the high rank officers of the outpost to bow. After all she was from House of Lucifuge which was a high ranking clan. Besides, their clan has close ties to the Lucifer Clan that was established by the original Lucifer.

After some time, the outpost commander stepped forward and greeted the woman. "Welcome, Lady Grayfia Lucifuge."

"Hm," Grayfia nodded and scanned the place, "Get the troops ready, we will launch our attack towards the enemy soon. Also prepare some lodging for the House of Lucifuge's elite troops." she ordered

"Understood, Lady Lucifuge." The former outpost commander bowed and started ordering some soldiers to prepare some lodgings.

After giving orders, the former commander led Grayfia to her resting place before leaving.

Now alone in her place, Grayfia's thoughts wandered.

'I will probably meet him in this war...' She though back to that youth whom she met decades ago when her friend, Serafall, introduced him to her.

He was unlike the other devils she knew, he had this ever present smile and unique aura around him. Over the decades, they got to be friends but, now in this war, they are on opposing sides.

....

The next day~

As usual, Asra, was leisurely realxing in his tent when suddenly, a soldier abruptly entered his tent.

"*Huff* *Huff* Lord Asra...*Huff* our scouts has reported that the enemy is moving." He hurriedly reported with a tense face. After all, they were outnumbered by a few thousand.

Asra on the other hand just smiled before dismissing the soldier. "You can go now and inform our soldiers to prepare for battle."

"Understood!" The soldier exclaimed before hurriedly exiting the tent.

Asra then said, "Bevis, go out and scout the enemy quickly and report to me." He glanced at the side, "And are they ready?"

"They are ready, my lord. Just one call and they'll get here swiftly." Bevis replied respectfully as he bowed. "Then please excuse me, I'll scout the enemies now."

Swiftly after saying his piece, Bevis disappeared from the tent, leaving Asra once again alone.

*Swoosh*

"I wonder who that person they're waiting?" Shortly after, Asra spread out his senses and felt multiple new presence approching their camp. These presences were quite strong as well which made him smirk.

"I wonder who they are? Hehe, this should be interesting. One those presence is even comparable to Serafall."

....

Enemies side~

The satan faction's army of fifteen thousand strong was neatly marching towards Asra's camp. In the front was their commander, Grayfia Lucifuge, overseeing the whole army.

"Hm?!" She suddenly turned her head towards a certain direction where she felt a presence. But when she turned towards it, she only saw glimpse of a shadow before it vanished.

'An enemy scout and an elite at that. Even I only felt him for a moment when he was about to leave. This could be troublesome as the presence of such elite scout could indicate a strong commander and maybe even an elite troop.' Her mind run through various thoughts but she steeled herself. 'Whatever the case, we cannot lose this battle as this place could be an important place for our army to defend against the enemy.'

.....

Back at Asra's tent, Bevis abruptly appeared and kneeled behind Asra.

"My lord, the one leading the enemy army is Grayfia Lucifuge." He reported, glancing his liege. After all, he knew about Asra's relationship with Grayfia.

"Hm?" Asra was momentarily surprised before calming down, "So it's her, huh? So that's why I felt some familiarity about one aura and that also explains why one aura was comparable to Serafall. As expected, this has become more interesting." He muttered before smiling.

"Bevis, call them now and get them to prepare for battle!" Asra stood up and ordered Bevis who complied.

"Understood!" Bevis then teleported out of the way. While Asra got out of his tent and look towards the horizon with a somewhat melancholic gaze.
