Chapter 10: Hero Saves The Beauty!
"Good thing I'm telling the truth then." Arthur smiled and glanced at the coin on the table. "How about I pawn this one today and tomorrow Ill come back and meet with your boss about the rest?"
[This can work… I can also check if they're stolen…] Furusawa Shizu nodded with a bright smile. "Alright." She motioned behind her. "Kazuo."
The shop clerk Kazuo stepped forward and picked up the gold coin and went to complete the loan process.
"Mr. Hyoudou, if you don't mind, may I ask." Furusawa Shizu leaned back into the couch but didn't take her eyes off Arthur. "Where did you get so much gold?"
"You don't have to worry. Its not stolen." Arthur had a thoughtful look on his face and explained with a smile. "It's a family treasure that has been guarded for a thousand years."
"Oh. I see…" Furusawa Shizu nodded like she understood, but you can tell that she didn't fully believe Arthur.
[It's not a lie. Korva can be said to be my ancestor, and he guarded it for a thousand years in the [Dragon Palace]. Now if he stole it, I have no clue. But that won't matter.] Arthur shrugged with the corners of his lips raised slightly.
A couple of minutes later, Kazuo came back with an envelope of money and a loan receipt.
"Here you go, Mr. Hyoudou." Furusawa Shizu slid everything across the table with a smile. "Ill inform my boss about your situation."
"Thank you. See you tomorrow around this time." Arthur got up from the couch with a bow and walked out of the pawnshop.

Standing outside the pawnshop in the setting sun, Arthur didn't know where to go, so he walked towards the coffee shop he visited earlier. Preferring to find somewhere to sleep along the way, like a motel or something.
[Well, that worked out better than I thought it would.] Arthur glanced back at the empty sidewalk and shook his head. [A source of money has almost been confirmed, next is a legal identity.] he sighed. [Thankfully the pawnshop didn't ask for any legal papers.]
"Help! Someone please, help…" A girl's panic-stricken voice rang from a dark alley near Arthur.
[Why is this happening again? Are criminals so fearlessness in this world?] Arthur frowned and glanced around, looking for a place to hide and change back to his natural appearance. [This will work…] Arthur looked around for any cameras and hid behind a dumpster and changed back this natural appearance. [It feels better to be me again…] Arthur thought as he ran deep into the alley and saw three large men surrounding a young girl about his age who held a wooden sword.
The three large men wore similar outfits made of leather and chains with purple skulls on the back, almost like it's a gang outfit.
The young girl had short black hair with dark gray eyes, wearing a gray and black sailor suit with long black socks and dark brown dress shoes.
[She is…] Arthur's eyes brightened, but then frowned. [How come this is happening? The anime never spoke about something like this ever happening.] He sighed. [I guess the anime I know is just the general direction of the world. There might be some differences between the one I know and the real world.] All this happened in under a second when Arthur walked into the alley and saw the situation inside.
The young girl shuddered with fear while gripped her wooden sword hard and yelled. "Dont come close or Ill hit you hard!"
"Dont be afraid little girl." The bald leader of the group stepped forward slowly and taunted with a wicked smile. "All we want to do is have some fun with you…"
"No! Stay away!" The young girl tried to back up but felt a cold wall behind her and her face went pale.
[She's cornered… I need to do something!] Arthur grit his teeth and reached out his hand. On the ground in front of him, a gold and black ripple appeared. The ripple glowed, and the handle of a Katana appeared in the center and rose from the ground until it reached his hand. When he gripped the Katana handle, the [Demonic Gate] disappeared.
Arthur's eyes flashed dangerously as he quietly crept towards the back of the bald leader, waiting for an opportunity to attack.
"Don't worry little girl, after we have our fun, we'll let you go." The monkey face on the right of the young girl stepped forward with an ugly smile.
"Ahh!" The young girl grit her teeth with a desperate look in her eyes. She swiftly stepped forward with her right leg and waved her wooden sword with precision towards the monkey faces head.
[Now!] Arthur's eyes glowed with a savage light and slashed at the legs of the bald leader.
The monkey faced man and the bald leader fell onto the floor at the same time. The monkey faced man was unconscious, but the bald leader wasn't.
"AHHH!" the bald leader howled in pain as blood poured out of his half-detached legs, painting the ground red.
"You…" The young girl looked at Arthur with confusion and shock. [Someone came to save me…]
"Get behind me." Arthur stepped past the bald man and pulled the young girl behind him while guarding against the last man standing.
The last man stared at his two companions on the ground with wide eyes filled with fear.
"Either fight or get out of here!" Arthur growled, and raised his bloody Katana causing blood to drip on the ground.
The last man seemed to waver for a second, but seeing the blood dripping from the Katana, his hesitation faded and he ran away.
"Torio! Get back here!" The bald man screamed, realizing that the last man fled.
"Lets get out of here." Arthur took the young girl's hand and ran out of the alley together.
What nobody saw was that before Arthur left the alley, the Katana in his hand changed into black and gold particles and disappeared.
