Chapter 5: Chapter 4: The Tsar Forms a Deadly Suicide Squad
After the Battle outside Warsaw, Koba writes a letter to his love, Ellie, on how much he misses her everyday, he doesn't to tell her everything on what happen on the battlefield in the past few months. He is afraid of her that she might leave him someday, so he lied by telling her he is just following orders and doing his duty as a soldier. As Ellie receives the letter after a class in college, she is happy that he is still alive and well, she writes a letter about her college life to be nurse someday, wanting to help people in medical needs, planning for their future together as a couple, she sends it at a post office. Koba receives the letter after 6 days of training in a boot camp near Minsk, he is happy to hear her about the life she always wanted to be. The couples keep on writing letters every now and then. Luther is happy for Koba about his love life, how tough he is, a proud big brother wanting to teach him more things. In the next day, Oleg, Dmitri, and Gregory is promoted to the rank of Captain 1st Class, the Russians are proud of the three Celestials who fought bravely for how many days in Poland, Koba and Luther hugs all of them as a form of congratulating for their performance at the Eastern Front. A General who is a strong celestial being name Yegor Ariandel arrives at the promotion ceremony, introducing himself and Nikita Khrushchev to be assign for the Russian Second Army. Nikita promises to give them the best strategy for the team to victory. As they are in one table in lunch time, Nikita shares his experiences of spying in the headquarters in Berlin about the secret plans and how he was able to escape without a trace, it shocks the group, including Koba, who became curious about the weapon, he tells all of them that a astral being created the chemical weapon, he wants to use it as a torturing method as well, Koba went angry and wants to put an end to it. Luther tells Koba to calm down and listen to what his big brother is about to say. Nikita also reveals that he is a celestial being, so the five wants him to show his power. So Nikita releases some of his energy to them, this technique impresses them and Luther admits that Nikita is better than him at suppressing his energy. Koba wants to train with Nikita on how to stealth while suppressing their energy, they both train together, Koba improves by controlling his energy so that Energy beings can't detect them. They engage in a friendly combat, as Koba using his sharp reflexes on Nikita, and he uses stealth mode to hit him, but Koba is able to hear his footstep, able to use a Celestial spinning back kick on Nikita's face, Nikita admits his superhuman strength is strong, praising him and Koba was like it was nothing, he just use his hearing sense to hear enemy movements, as both of them continue their training. Many hours of training, as Koba and Nikita want to take a break, General Ariandel sees the two, knowing that Koba is getting stronger, his power level increased even further from his training, so Nikita is about to head out, Koba wants to spar with him again next time, Nikita smiles and leaves. Ariandel approaches to Koba to tell him that every technique he uses is amazing, Koba happily thanks him for the compliment, Ariandel tells Koba that he wants to train to the next level, he accept him as his master to have room for improvement. Somewhere in Russia, a Demon already opens his portal to find a host, possessing people one by one to transform them into a monster, but it ended up killing them, he learns that many energy beings live on earth, now he flies off to search for his next host.
The Russian Adversaries delivers the good news to the Kremlin castle in Moscow, Russia, the Tsar heard almost everything of the Lionheart's actions in the battlefield, impressed with his powers to kill his enemies on the eastern front, wants him to be a war machine for the motherland, even his celestial brother and the others who had help him during the battle. Tsar Nicholas II is planning something bigger to form a deadly suicide squad to make sure their performance executes well during missions, he names them, "The Ravens". In the early month of July, 1915, Luther is hungry for lunch, finds the group along with Koba with them, while they're eating, Koba is curious about the rumors happening in Russia, decides to ask Nikita about it, his question is all about the people who are starving and getting shot for not obeying the law implemented by the government, Nikita says it true, his father works for the Tsar, it angers Koba, but Nikita tells him about the man name Vladimir Lennin who wanted to overthrow the Tsar and his government from power, but he ended up to exile somewhere far away in Russia, the Celestials keep on having a good conversation even if they are done eating. The Tsar unexpectedly arrives at the boot camp in Minsk, going to the military dinning hall leading him to the celestial beings responsible for destroying their enemies. Everyone is shock to see the Tsar in person, even the Celestials themselves, General Yegor Ariandel introduces them to the Tsar, as the Tsar approaches, he wanted to have an important meeting with them. All of the Soldiers of the dinning were honored to see him, as the team from the second army are about to go to the commander's room, they discuss the plan on building a team.
During discussion the commander's room, The Tsar is about to assemble them, naming Koba "The Lionheart" as their team leader. General Ariandel nicknames Luther "Jackhammer", Oleg is "Leatherneck", Dmitri is "Beetle", Gregory is "Iron Claw", and Nikita is "Stealth". The group all love their new callsign because the Tsar thinks that their names will bring fear to the enemy. As the days go on, General Ariandel trains all of them harshly in a heavy winter, gives them mental training in how to give more pressure to the enemy, for how many days they continue to use their energies for honing their skills, to survive after getting wounds, assisting their teammates, both Koba and Luther work so hard in order for them to achieve on what they want. After days of training, General Ariandel compliments them one by one, even one of them makes mistakes, has more room for improvement, they all take a rest until they are ready for deployment. Meanwhile Ellie is studying hard for the upcoming exams, she keeps on thinking about what Koba looks like when he returns home from the war. Koba wakes up in the morning, feeling a bit odd, as he saw himself the mirror, thinking it shrank a little bit, finds out he grew taller, Luther measures hiand his height is from 5'6 to 6'2 inches, all of his teammates are surprised about his appearance, thinking that he is a sexy man, Luther tells him that Ellie will have a man to protect her always, giving Koba Determination work hard for their future. As the team bonds together, they continue to understand each others feelings, knowing that through teamwork, the process will be good for them to move forward. The name of the team is settled, Known as The Ravens.
